Yu Tian stood up and summoned Little Ru, channeling energy into it as it gradually began to glow. Waterer’s body expanded to three or four times its size, circling around Yu Tian. As his master’s pet, he performed admirably, aware that Yu Tian was facing a dangerous situation. As a Water Demon Wolf, he felt no fear; however, in his eyes, this human master needed his protection.
Soon, the roar of crashing waves echoed around them, like a stampede of horses or the wailing of spirits. The sound grew sharper, piercing Yu Tian's eardrums.
"This time, I will settle this quickly. Lin, I will return soon!" Yu Tian thought to himself as he unleashed an energy ball.
Suddenly, Waterer howled, pulling Yu Tian out of the entangling threads.
Initially, Yu Tian believed that the Water Elemental Realm was boundless, but he was mistaken. The surrounding Water Wall was slowly closing in. At first, he thought these waters posed no threat; he could simply dive into them. However, he realized that the water elements here were far more active than those on land, each one a powerful Energy Core.
Yu Tian remained still, not knowing what to do.
Waterer circled around him while barking frantically, but the water's momentum did not slow down.
Thinking of Lin, Yu Tian knew he could not waste any more time. He had to try every possible method.
With that thought in mind, Yu Tian activated the magical energy within the Divine Dragon Staff and released a Magical Energy Wave. This was a practical spell he had learned while revisiting the Divine Canon; the Magical Energy Wave radiated outward from Yu Tian in all directions.
The powerful energy wave collided with the approaching Water Wall like an explosion from a bomb; however, the Water Wall only rippled slightly without any other change and continued to inch closer to Yu Tian.
At this moment, the Water Wall was less than fifty meters away from him. Waterer remained within ten meters of Yu Tian, seemingly trying to break free but unable to do so.
As the Water Wall slowly advanced, Yu Tian felt a significant pressure in the air. Although it didn’t affect him much, he still erected a comprehensive protective shield made of water and earth around himself and included Waterer within it.
Waterer could hardly bear it any longer; its circling speed around Yu Tian increased. Eventually, it lay down at Yu Tian's feet, occasionally lifting its head. Yu Tian knew it should be able to escape after staying here for so long; however, he…
"That's right! The Space-Time Teleportation Array! How did I not think of that sooner?" Yu Tian immediately began setting up the array. He believed that if he could teleport to an area with weaker water elements or reach the edge of this space filled with water elements, he would have a chance to buy some time.
However, his first attempt at setting up the array failed because every time he reached the water level, the entire formation vanished.
"Little one, in the Six-Dimensional Realm, we control six elements together. You think you can use water elements in the Water Elemental Realm? Ha ha..." The Water Elemental God laughed heartily. Before Yu Tian could even speak, he felt a wave of pressure as the Water Wall closed in to just over twenty meters away from him and began compressing his protective shield.
"Who are you? The Water Elemental God?" Yu Tian shouted loudly.
He despised people who liked to act mysterious. When he received no answer, he immediately yelled, "If you have the guts, come out and fight me!" Yu Tian's voice echoed as the Water Wall continued to grow larger.
"Huh? You little brat still refuse to back down, huh? Then give it a try! As for your desire to battle? Maybe in a few thousand years!" The small voice faded away completely, seemingly not to return for the time being.
"I don't believe this!" Yu Tian clenched Little Ru tightly, gathering energy continuously.
A pair of blue dragon wings appeared on Yu Tian's back. "Looks like I need to try this unstable magic—Blazing Sky!"
"Powerful fire element, unleash your might in this water-filled space!"
As he finished speaking, massive flames intensified on the blue wings, forming a wall of fire behind Yu Tian. The Water Wall was now only a few meters away from him, and the pressure was so immense that Yu Tian had to take deep breaths to maintain his composure. He was still in the process of transforming into a divine being and couldn't afford to be without air for survival just yet.
The Water Wall collided with the flames; although it turned into steam upon contact, it quickly condensed again behind it and continued to push forward.
"Celestial Fire Rain—" Just as Yu Tian prepared to unleash another spell, the blue wings suddenly vanished. This unstable magic had failed at that moment!
"Is heaven trying to destroy me?" Yu Tian stood there in a daze.
Shui Er emitted excited cries repeatedly. Yu Tian crouched down and patted its head, saying, "Shui Er! You should leave now."
It seemed to understand but did not move.
It appeared that it couldn't bear to part with Yu Tian.
Only ten meters remained; Shui Er finally stood up and began digging into the ground. Somehow, the hard surface was easily torn apart by it, creating a hole.
But soon after, it closed up again.
Not looking back, Yu Tian closed his eyes. "Let me electrolyze you!" Suddenly, he recalled the first experiment Dr. S had demonstrated in the laboratory—electrolyzing water to produce oxygen. With that thought, he focused his mind, and his awareness of the surroundings became clearer.
He channeled energy into Little Ru, feeling the current flow through him as he focused his mind. With the help of Little Ru and the Dragon Tendon, the release of various spells became remarkably efficient.
Yu Tian dispersed the immense voltage of electricity, sensing something weeping—it was the water element. They had been broken down, yet the pressure around him continued to rise.
Could he die here?
Yu Tian thought of Lin, Dr. S, Reynold, and the Divine Guard; he could not afford to die. His heart raced as he felt the water element bustling about, perhaps healing him? The wounds left from his battle with Slicky were improving, tears streaming down his face. He felt a mix of emotions—gratitude, regret, guilt… it was all very complex.
The droplets did not fall but instead hovered in front of Yu Tian. Countless water elements surrounded the tears, which formed a small necklace—modest yet brilliant.
It slowly floated over and settled around Yu Tian's neck. He felt a refreshing coolness wash over him and opened his eyes to see that the remaining droplets had formed a tiny pendant. Shui Er might have noticed it too, as she shouted in excitement.
At that moment, Yu Tian realized that the Water Wall had receded. Seeing the pendant take shape, Shui Er rushed over to hang it around her own neck and began jumping around joyfully. Watching Shui Er bounce with happiness brought a sense of relief to Yu Tian. The voice of the Water Elemental God echoed: “This is a test of your spirit… the Heart of Benevolence. Since the water element recognizes you, you may proceed to the Fire Elemental Realm! Yu Tian should go inform the Fire Elemental Spirit! The Water Demon Wolves will guide you; they can read minds, so remember to communicate with sincerity!” The surroundings returned to the calmness he had first encountered.
Shui Er continued to jump around excitedly, digging holes everywhere.
Yu Tian understood that Shui Er must have stayed by his side during that critical moment; he too had responded to the call of the water element. He thought, “This friend should be able to accompany me for a lifetime!”
Yu Tian calmed himself and repeatedly called out Shui Er's name with all his heart…
