Due to Yu Tian's negligence, a magical mishap caused a rift in time and space, completely shattering the Demon God Barrier that had maintained the balance of the Kadar Black Hole. This opportunity was seized by the Demon Beast Clan from the demon realm, who, under the leadership of Hong Lickqi, were preparing for a comprehensive exploration.
The Beast Soldier Area, located in the poorest region of Beastman Village, housed all the forces of the Demon Beast Clan. The Half-Orcs dominated this area, along with some supporting troops sent by various races. The distribution of these races had long been mapped out, but it could not be publicly released.
As Hong Lickqi entered the training camp, all the Half-Orcs practicing halted their movements. This Young Master had been specially introduced by their king, and respect was due.
"Hello everyone! Today I bring you good news... Are you willing to chase your dreams with me?" Hong Lickqi's voice rang out loudly; he aimed to create just such an effect. As he stepped into the training ground, all the Beast Soldiers began to cheer in unison.
"Young Master! You've come personally again?" The training officer rushed over.
"It's alright; I've gotten used to it. I just have an important mission this time that I must handle myself!" Hong Lickqi stood in the center of the training ground, ready to speak. "Everyone, the Demon God Barrier has been breached by some special force; this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our demon race... We must take advantage of this moment to break into the divine realm and uncover useful information... Will you serve me?"
"Willing..."
"Willing..."
"Oh..."
"Awo..."
Listening to the cheers below, Hong smiled...
Soon, with the support of numerous Beast Soldiers, Hong selected three thousand elite warriors from among them. These Half-Orcs, wielding massive iron hammers and clad in heavy steel spiked armor, set off. Although they were well-equipped to withstand magical attacks, they were not particularly agile in close combat, making armor necessary.
"Alright... let us cheer for the prosperity of the Demon Race..." Before departing, Hong shouted loudly, not forgetting the need to boost morale. This indeed captured the full attention of all participating Beast Soldiers, who were filled with fervor, continuously raising and lowering their great hammers.
With three thousand Beast Soldiers, Hong marched swiftly toward the Demon God Barrier.
Upon reaching the Demon God Barrier, both Hong and all the Beast Soldiers were taken aback. The original barrier had vanished, leaving behind a deep chasm that resembled a crater created by a nuclear explosion.
"Young Master... can we cross?" Hong had divided the three thousand Beast Soldiers into thirty small teams, each led by a captain; it was one of these captains beside him who asked.
"Yes, of course. Just be careful... let’s move out..." Hong replied, being the first to use magic to cross the chasm. Thousands of Beast Soldiers clustered together, helping one another as they traversed the gap and entered the divine realm.
They were all incredibly excited; the connection between the Divine and Demon realms meant their territory had truly expanded. This indicated that they could now live on such fertile land, as the Demon Realm was nearly barren—a fact that had initially struck Hong. Now with such vast territory available for true occupation, the populous Half-Orc clan would surely thrive. It was precisely for this reason that the Beastmen Tribe at the edge of the Demon God Barrier had sealed off all news from other races. This way, the Half-Orcs could fully claim more land; even if disputes arose, bribing a few chieftains would allow them to assertively occupy it.
With land comes more armies and more kin; a stronger race would rise.
"As long as there are enough numbers, I will reform and change the existing system, educating these ignorant people. This way, I can gradually control the entire planet..." Hong Lickqi thought as he observed the search teams dispersing in various directions—this was his primary objective. Finding a mine that he could exploit would be sufficient.
Hong Lickqi lingered by the chasm for quite some time but still could not uncover its origin. "Perhaps this is a gift from heaven..."
Time flew by without leaving anything behind. Even remnants of magical energy were swept away by the shattered space; naturally, no one could discern the cause...
"Tiger Beast and Fire Beast, each take twelve teams to search from either end. The rest follow me... If you find nothing, head to the temple; I will be waiting for you there!" Hong Lickqi stated vaguely; what they could find was also of concern to him. He only hoped they wouldn’t discover anything useful and that he alone would make significant finds. Tiger Beast and Fire Beast were trusted confidants of his father.
"Understood!" Tiger Beast and Fire Beast each led twelve pairs of Beast Soldiers, beginning their search. Hong Lickqi looked at the remaining sixty Beast Soldiers; they were less than one ten-thousandth of the entire army, yet each one was filled with fervor, their faces radiating excitement and enthusiasm.
"Warriors! Are you willing to serve me?" Hong stood on a protruding edge at the brink of the ravine, like a leader, asking loudly. At that moment, the other soldiers were nowhere to be seen, allowing him to pose such a question.
Initially, there was a moment of silence below, but soon the massive Beast Soldiers understood and shouted in unison, "We are willing! We are willing..." The cheers of the sixty Beast Soldiers were so powerful that it almost caused the entire edge of the ravine to collapse again. Feeling the ground tremble, Hong Lickqi's blood surged with excitement as he joined in the cheer.
They hadn't even seen what lay ahead, yet it felt as if they had already achieved victory!?
Once everyone quieted down, Hong quickly led his sixty Beast Soldiers toward the temple. In his view, that place should hold most of the secrets.
The march was swift, and upon entering, the scene was different from last time. The stone walls faintly glowed. It seemed like a guiding light pointing the way. However, within such gentle illumination was an abundance of energy; if it went out of control, it would surely trigger a series of explosions. Hong Lickqi considered whether he should return another time, but he could hardly resist such temptation. The dark, winding entrance seemed to have a pair of magical hands pulling at his heart from within.
"Are you willing to face life and death with me?" Hong Lickqi wanted to establish his Death Guard; only then could he prevent an ambush from the shadows. Even if that day came, there would be someone to take that hit for him...
"We are willing..." The chance to gain Young Master's recognition thrilled the beasts; they cared little for whatever dangers lurked in the darkness...
