Initially, he thought it would help him break free from the Life Contract, but the Elemental God did not do so. Instead, it allowed the magic staff, Azure Star, to recognize Yu Tian and sent him to the Void Realm. In this Void Realm, Yu Tian was about to encounter the God of Nihility, an entity formed from the last remnants of energy when the King of the Gods perished, existing only as a consciousness in a specific Void Space.
As the magic circle leading to the Void Realm activated, Yu Tian did not hesitate and stepped into it. The figures of the Six Elemental Gods were obscured by streams of energy, and the colors around him began to shift continuously.
"Have I entered a temporal rift?" he wondered as he watched the six-colored ribbons retreating around him. It felt like sitting in a spaceship traveling at high speed, with surrounding objects experiencing redshift or blueshift—one of the processes of time travel. Believing his power was sufficient, Yu Tian boldly opened his eyes. Previously, he had always closed his eyes during teleportation through magic circles, but this time he held onto Shui Er tightly and observed the changes around him.
However, this was a grave mistake. As Yu Tian watched the rapidly changing lights and shadows, it wasn't just a personal issue; his eyes began to react sluggishly, causing him to feel increasingly drowsy. Gradually, he sensed that this place was not a stable space; he was continuously falling downward, which made him feel somewhat anxious. At that moment, due to his unstable mindset, his body also lost its steadiness and began to tilt. Yu Tian felt as if he were completely upside down; there was a strong sense of time and space here that intensified regardless of how hard he tried to stabilize himself.
"Brother Tian, can you be quiet for a moment? Quickly close your eyes! Your mental strength can't withstand the residual waves of the temporal rift; it's an extremely strong mental suggestion. The only way to suppress its erosion on your brain is by not looking at it and relying on your complete personal consciousness!" Feeling that their journey was anything but smooth, Shui Er immediately began instructing her brother on what to do.
Yu Tian initially wanted to try more, but after hearing Shui Er's words, he chose to give up. He tightly closed his eyes and repeatedly suggested to himself that he was in a stable place. After some time of self-suggestion, he finally stabilized.
"Shui Er? How do you know all this?" Yu Tian asked in confusion. How did this Water Demon Wolf possess knowledge about time and space? Wasn't it completely oblivious to Earth?
"Hey, big brother! This was personally told to me by my sister, the Light Elemental Deity. She reminded me to remember it well, so I did! The Light Elemental Deity treats me differently! You know she hasn't given you anything..." Shui Er began to boast again.
Yu Tian felt somewhat helpless. If they returned to solid ground and Shui Er met Little Ru, would there ever be a peaceful moment again? He thought back; previously, several Elemental Gods had given him gifts. Even that cold Thunder Elemental had equipped him with lightning battle boots after their ordeal with thunder punishment ended. But the Light Elemental Deity truly hadn’t given anything; she merely reminisced about her beauty for a moment—was that little bit of beauty truly special? "By the way, didn't the Light Elemental Deity help me gain recognition from Azure Star? Isn't that considered a gift?"
"Um..." Upon hearing this, Shui Er felt somewhat dissatisfied again. The Light Elemental Deity only advised her to be cautious while her brother received a powerful magic staff. It seemed quite unfair; Shui Er could only remain quietly nestled in Yu Tian's embrace, drooling slightly as she plotted her revenge.
Yu Tian began contemplating his plans for when he emerged: finding Dr. S. After such a long time, surely the time-travel simulation machine they had initially agreed upon would be operational now. After all, what was there to fear? Worst case scenario—he would just die; being the first test subject wasn’t such a big deal after all.
As he pondered, the surroundings gradually became clearer. Colorful lights began to reveal the outline of a stone bench, followed by a large water crystal, and soon everything came into focus. Of course, from the perspective of a space traveler, this seemed to happen slowly; in reality, it all occurred within a fraction of a second.
Once the space stopped shaking, Yu Tian slowly stepped out of the magic circle and walked toward the increasingly clear Stone House. Inside, the water crystal was situated right in the center of the stone cave, devoid of any excess white. The small stone bench seemed specially designed for him.
As he approached the water crystal, suddenly, a figure began to materialize above it. It was merely a silhouette, completely transparent, as if made entirely of water elements, with its surroundings continuously flowing. Yu Tian speculated that this must be the form of an entity entirely constructed from energy! It appeared that the King of the Gods was still quite far from achieving true transcendence; the inability to utilize energy to construct a solid form was evident.
"Are you Heavenly Karda?"
"I am... oh yes, I am Heavenly Karda. And you are...?"
"I am the God of Nihility!"
So this is the God of Nihility? The transparent figure on the water crystal gradually became clearer, and from its outline, one could infer that it was a frail old man.
"Indeed. The Divine Guard requested me to train your father when I traveled through the universe and reached Kadar Star. Come out! There are no restrictions in the Void Realm." Suddenly, ten figures flashed into existence behind Yu Tian. He turned around.
It was indeed that group of black-clad individuals he had encountered while trapped in the Dream Barrier during his time in the Demon Realm.
"God of Black Holes! It's good to see you again. I didn't expect you to be the King of the Gods we have been searching for!"
"Now do you believe it?"
"Yes, so will you help me restore my memories now?"
"Yes, I was originally formed from your spiritual energy. We are one and the same. If you're in such a hurry, quickly sit on the Water Crystal and let me unlock your Memory Seal. However, it will take you a long time to fully possess your powers and all your memories. Get ready, let's begin!" Ten Divine Guard warriors vanished into the surrounding stone walls, and a surge of power rushed into Yu Tian's mind, but he felt not a hint of pain.
However, he soon felt a turmoil within his bones, as many unknown forces collided, trying to break free. Yu Tian summoned a great deal of energy to protect his bones.
"King of the Gods! I have already released the contract you made with the elements. What you need to do now is to calm your mind." Yu Tian felt a pang of regret upon hearing this, but remembering the words of the Wind Elemental, he felt reassured. It turned out that the Light Elemental Deity's refusal to help him break the seal was part of this Void Elder's plan!
With his heart now clear, Yu Tian cast aside all distractions and trivial matters.
