Under the strong insistence of Yu Tian, Dr. S allowed him to revisit his past memories. It was a surreal experience, and Yu Tian felt as if he was almost merging into those memories, only to stop at the most exciting parts.
As he walked towards the landing site of the spaceship, Yu Tian fell into deep thought. He finally understood what he had done in the past, even if it was just a little. He had encountered a wizard. It was indeed a wizard; he was certain of that. However, he couldn't comprehend why a wizard, who only existed in novels, would truly exist and be turned into a mummy. He speculated that perhaps it was the work of several Elemental Gods. Originally, all the pyramids had been transported to the Cosmic Museum in space, but this one had suddenly appeared, possibly released by the Elemental Gods from their realm. But who was that person? Why did he seem to know to seek help from the sky? Did he understand his origins? Was it related to the demon race? If so, it indicated that they had sent teams to Earth long ago.
"They should have accepted a time seal; perhaps they all bear a Reincarnation Seal. Otherwise, how could they be suppressed so low?" Yu Tian pondered aloud. "If there is a Reincarnation Seal, then how can they use magic?"
He felt as if he were on the brink of losing his mind. At that moment, he reached the bottom of the spaceship's Landing Ladder and suddenly snapped back to reality, lifting his head to look inside the ship.
"Hey? Shui Er doesn’t seem to be here..." As Yu Tian ascended the Landing Ladder and approached the cabin door, he immediately noticed how empty it was inside. Shui Er, who should have been obediently hiding under the cushions and sleeping, was nowhere to be found at this moment. "This guy seems immune to these locks..."
"Shui Er, where are you?" Yu Tian unleashed energy waves, amplifying his consciousness to search for Shui Er's energy signature. Fortunately, he quickly located her; however, her energy seemed erratic as if she were resisting—floating around chaotically. Perhaps she was running... Yu Tian suddenly realized.
"Big Brother... A bunch of monsters are chasing me! They’re glowing and making creaking noises!!!" Shui Er was clearly in trouble, but her big brother had repeatedly warned her not to use magic carelessly, leaving her no choice but to call for help.
"Can you describe them in detail?" Yu Tian truly had no idea what those glowing beings were as he closed the cabin door and hurried towards Shui Er's direction.
"They look like you, but their eyes aren’t black and white; they glow! Plus, there’s light flashing all over their bodies, and they just keep chasing me..." Shui Er seemed strong enough; she spoke without any hint of panic and appeared to be enjoying herself.
"Let me think... Uh... Are they robots? How did you offend those Enforcers?" Yu Tian suddenly recalled that in this highly secure technological center, although there were no fully armed personnel standing around, countless Simulation Robots were scattered among the crowd: including cleaners and delivery workers.
"I just saw something pretty and wanted to lick it! But before I could get close, something chased me away! I just ran! I didn’t expect them to keep chasing me... So I kept running!" Shui Er was genuinely immersed in the thrill of being chased, completely oblivious to the danger. Those enforcement robots possessed all logical cores and could easily determine an assailant's intent; if she continued opposing them, they would likely resort to forceful measures.
"Shui'er, listen to me... just wait for them patiently. They only need to scan you for a bit, and I'll be there soon..." Yu Tian felt like he was losing his mind because of this brother of his. In order to arrive on time, he didn't even pay attention to his running posture, and people around him stopped to watch his legs move up and down... they almost burst out laughing.
Finally, he was getting closer to Shui'er. Just around the corner, Yu Tian made a sharp turn and immediately looked up. He saw Shui'er with a glistening cube in her mouth, and he hurried over. Fortunately, the crowd here wasn't too large; it was mostly bored engineers taking a stroll, far less bustling than the commercial district.
"Big Brother... you finally made it!" Shui'er turned around suddenly, lowered her body, and quickly darted past the robot to Yu Tian's side.
"What do you have there?" Yu Tian pulled the cube from Shui'er's mouth. It turned out to be a fragment of the technology center's emblem... Lohai. "How did you manage to grab this? Didn't you just want to lick something?"
"No, I saw they wouldn't let me lick it, so I bit it instead..." Before she could finish her sentence, the two Law Enforcement Robots had already approached them, scanning Yu Tian's image and analyzing it in their system.
"Hello, Mr. Yu. Please take good care of your pet; our emblem is not to be tampered with..." One of the robots quickly completed its analysis and executed its directive.
"Alright, alright..." Yu Tian said as he handed the metal piece to the Enforcer.
At that moment, the robots' originally red eyes gradually faded as they saluted the wolf and human before quickly heading towards the Science and Technology Building.
"Shui'er... I told you not to run around. Now you've caused trouble... They think you're my pet, and my record will definitely be penalized because of you..." Yu Tian exaggerated the situation deliberately. He looked at Shui'er squatting beside him and said sternly. He knew she must have used a teleportation array to come out; if any researchers discovered her, that would truly be a big problem! Thankfully, that situation hadn't occurred (but if it had, I would need a lot of ink to deal with it—what a strain on everyone's eyes...).
"Oh... Big Brother, I'm sorry..." Shui'er walked oddly beside Yu Tian, circling within a radius of less than fifty centimeters from him. It was almost like she was trying to maintain a connection as she rubbed against his leg comfortably.
"It's fine; at least no one else discovered your abilities. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to save you..." Yu Tian said as he quickened his pace towards the spaceship.
He had promised Lin that he would return in a day; he was definitely late now. There was also that sumptuous dinner waiting for him—what a shame it would be if it got cold!
The wolf and the dog raced down the empty street, completely unconcerned about the changes in the crowd of newcomers. In no time, they reached the docking area of the spaceship.
Quickly starting up the ship and settling Water Demon Wolf, they swiftly broke through the barrier zone and entered the vastness of space, heading towards the planet woven with blue and yellow.
As they observed the bustling interstellar space filled with busy ships darting about, Water Demon Wolf, scratching its head with its paw, curiously asked Yu Tian, "Why aren't they flying? It would be much more agile this way..." Seeing two ships nearly collide only reinforced its thoughts.
"This is the Galaxy System, not that Magical World. Everything here is based on scientific principles. Remember, for now, don't ask anything. Even if you do, I won't answer! Make sure to remember that!" Yu Tian adjusted the ship's course. Having become familiar with manual driving, he wasn't particularly fond of the safer automatic mode. Driving manually provided an unprecedented thrill and was a great way to hone his reflexes.
"Got it... but..." Water Demon Wolf noticed that his older brother completely ignored his point and had no choice but to give up. With ears drooping, he let out a few soft whines and quietly lay down on the cushion, drifting off to sleep.
While Water Demon Wolf was asleep and as the ship passed through the Black Barrier, Yu Tian glanced over at him. Seeing his silly sleeping posture brought a complex expression to his face.
This was a Water Demon Wolf from a pure land, where there were no ulterior motives. Yet here, human hearts could sometimes be more terrifying than magic. Even the most powerful demons could be consumed by certain evil thoughts. Bringing such a pure life here—was it right or wrong? They had been given freedom, but would their spirit be tainted?
