Mai Lao thought for a moment and said, "There's no rush to salvage. Earlier, in the Wreck's cabin, we saw several floating corpses. It seems they were also here to salvage, but their deaths were quite strange." 0

"Floating corpses? In the Wreck?" Jenny asked, surprised. 0

Mai Lao nodded and replied, "Yes, there were five of them, all wearing Diving Suits. Their conditions were horrifying; it seemed they had suffered some kind of shock before dying." 0

Jiao Ba frowned and asked, "Did they all die in the cabin?" 0

"Yes, they all died in one cabin, and each of their expressions was almost twisted. It was truly a sight to behold! I nearly screamed in terror," Shunzi said with a look of fear. 0

Jiao Ba squinted and said, "That's odd. What could scare someone so much that their faces contort like that?" 0

Li Xin suddenly interjected, "What's so surprising about it? They might have encountered a shark or some other large creature; it's quite normal." 0

Li Xin always acted so smart. I shot her a glance and said, "What large creatures could be found in the Wreck's cabin? The Hatch on the deck was tightly shut. Mai Lao and I struggled for quite a while to open it, and we didn't see any sharks. Besides, even if there were sharks, it wouldn't be enough to scare them like that." 0

Li Xin scoffed and said, "Hmph, I think you all are just being overly suspicious, always jumping to conclusions about strange things." 0

Jiao Ba stroked his chin and said, "It seems that if we want to get to the bottom of this matter, we need to thoroughly investigate the Wreck. Have you checked all the cabins?" 0

"We've basically checked them all and didn't find any issues. The only one we didn't fully open was the last cabin; we could only barely open a spot for one person. Brother Yi shone a light inside but only saw darkness; nothing else was visible," Shunzi casually replied. 0

But hearing him say that made me suddenly recall what I had seen in the last cabin—the floating head. I shivered and said coldly, "Mai Lao, this ship really feels off." 0

"What is it, Loyalty and Righteousness? Did you discover something?" Mai Lao looked at me with a puzzled expression. 0

I took a deep breath and briefly recounted what had happened in the last cabin. To be honest, that scene had truly unsettled me; after years of service, it was the first time I felt such terror. 0

Mai Lao's expression turned grim as he said, "I believe you, Loyalty and Righteousness. It seems we can't salvage this ship just yet! We need to clarify things first; we can't afford any chaos later on." 0

"Brother Yi, are you sure you weren't seeing things?" Shunzi asked me. 0

"Of course not! I'm not blind; why would I see things?" I shot him an annoyed glare. This was the first time Shunzi doubted me, and I was not pleased. 0

Shunzi scratched his head and said, "I'm not doubting what you said; it's just that I didn't see anything behind you! But I have to admit that cabin was indeed strange. Not only could we not open the Hatch, but there was also a cold draft coming out that made me shiver all over." 0

"Cold air? It should be Yin Qi, right?" Jiao Bayi said with a serious expression. 0

"Yin Qi? Where did that come from?" I looked at Jiao Ba, surprised by the question. 0

"Of course, it's the Yin Qi of the dead. The longer a person has been dead, the heavier the Yin Qi becomes. I sensed something strange in that cabin," Jiao Bayi replied earnestly, without a hint of joking. 0

"Well, Lao Ba, you might have a point. Perhaps the deaths of those five people are related to this," I said, now certain that there were definitely dead bodies in that cabin; at least that head was part of a corpse. 0

Li Xin chimed in skeptically, "You guys are really something! What era is it? Still so superstitious about Yin Qi and Yang Qi. I really don't understand how you think." 0

Jenny suddenly said, "Li Xin, you can't say that. There are many things today that science can't explain. I feel what Jiao Ba is saying makes some sense." This time Jenny sided with us, and Li Xin snorted in response, falling silent. 0

I glanced at Mai Lao and asked, "Mai Lao, what should we do next?" 0

Mike thought for a moment and said, "Let's go down again. This time we need more people. We have to open that last cabin and see what's inside." 0

"Okay, sounds good. When do we set off?" Although I still felt a bit apprehensive inside, my curiosity compelled me to go. 0

Mai Lao checked the time and said, "It's just right now. Let's change the oxygen tanks and get ready to dive." 0

"Alright, this time I'm going down with you all to see what’s in that Ghost Ship's cabin," Jiao Ba declared as he slapped the table. 0

"Hey, do you even know how to dive? Don't push yourself too hard," I asked him. If someone wasn't suited for diving, it could easily lead to death. 0

"Don't worry, Brother Yi. It's no big deal," Jiao Ba replied with a raised eyebrow. 0

This time there were five of us going into the sea. Besides the four of us, there was another sailor named Gangzi. He was also from Northeast China, Heilongjiang province. He had served two years in the military and had been in Seaside City for several years. He had worked as both a sailor and a diver; his experience seemed quite similar to mine. Among these sailors, aside from Shunzi and Jiao Ba, he was the one I was closest to. 0

The sky was nearly darkening as the sun was about to set. The surface of the sea was calm, but beneath that calmness seemed to lurk an impending storm. I felt excited but even more nervous. 0

We five got ready: three spears and two lights. I still held my spear while Mai Lao signaled for us to jump into the water one after another. We dove deeper; the wreck became clearer as we descended, yet everything around us remained eerily silent with no signs of life. 0

We paused outside the wreck. Jiao Ba held the light carefully examining it; I could tell he was excited. Although he was an expert tomb raider, seeing a wreck underwater must have been a first for him too. 0

After Jiao Ba finished his inspection, we began swimming toward the deck. However, when we reached the deck, I suddenly noticed a problem: the hatch was closed! I remembered clearly that when we opened it before, we hadn't closed it but had gone straight back to the surface. 0

Mai Lao and Shunzi seemed to have noticed this issue as well; we exchanged glances. I gestured and asked, 'What’s going on? Why is the hatch closed?' 0

Mai Lao gestured in response, "I'm not sure. I remember it being open when we left." 0

Shunzi nodded beside him, confirming that we indeed hadn't closed the Hatch. But it was strange; opening this Hatch had been quite a struggle, so how did it close on its own? I felt perplexed by what was happening, but more than that, I was afraid. This Wreck was eerily unsettling. 0

Jiao Bayi noticed us standing still at the Hatch and asked, "What's wrong?" 0

I waved my hand dismissively, indicating that it was nothing serious. I glanced at Mai Lao, signaling him to make the decision—should we open it or leave it closed? 0

Mai Lao nodded, indicating he was ready to try opening the Hatch again. I called Gangzi over, and the two of us stood in front of the Hatch. Shunzi made a gesture, and together we exerted our strength. Jiao Ba came over to help as well, and just like last time, the Hatch creaked and groaned as we managed to pry it open with great effort. 0

As soon as the Hatch opened, Mai Lao quickly urged us to step back. We hurriedly dispersed to either side. I remembered the first time we opened the Hatch; a swarm of small creatures had burst out from inside. However, this time there was nothing. We waited for about five minutes after opening it, and everything remained eerily quiet. 0

I signaled for everyone to enter. We lined up and swam inside, heading straight for the last cabin. As we passed the second cabin, I wasn't sure if Mai Lao and Shunzi noticed it too, but I saw that this Hatch was also closed, and naturally, the five floating corpses were nowhere to be seen. 0

What was going on? Who had closed this Hatch? If this continued, the last cabin's Hatch might close as well. To be honest, I felt a bit uneasy; such bizarre occurrences in the depths of the ocean's Wreck would make anyone shiver. 0

Initially, this Wreck had filled me with surprise and excitement, but now all I felt was fear. We slowly made our way to the entrance of the last cabin, and just as I expected, the Hatch was closed again. I exchanged glances with Mai Lao and Shunzi; they had clearly noticed this issue too. 0

But now it was pointless to discuss anything further; we needed to open the Hatch first. What lay beyond it was what I truly wanted to know... 0
