When I saw the corpse of the woman in the coffin, my mind nearly exploded. She looked exactly like the previous Coffin Corpse. For a moment, I even doubted that this was not the same Coffin Corpse. 0

I stumbled back several steps. "How... how can this be? Lao Ba, why does she look just like that Coffin Corpse? Or is it possible... she always was." Every time I recalled it, a deep terror gripped my heart, and I even stuttered while speaking. 0

Jiao Ba remained standing in front of the coffin, staring intently at the female corpse without answering me. 0

"Lao Ba, what the hell are you doing?" I walked over and grabbed him. I was worried that the corpse might suddenly open her eyes. I remembered that the eyes of the Demon Worm Corpse were not to be looked at directly, and I feared Jiao Ba might fall under her spell. But his gaze did not seem dazed or unfocused. 0

Jiao Ba snapped back to reality and said, "It's really strange; this corpse looks exactly like the previous Coffin Corpse. What does this prove?" He furrowed his brow, stroking his chin as if deep in thought. 0

"Could it be the same person?" I asked him foolishly. 0

Jiao Ba suddenly smiled helplessly and said, "Big brother, are you feeling alright? Why is your brain not working? Don't worry; there's absolutely no way this is the same corpse. I think... this should be a pair of Twin Sisters." 0

I shot a glance at Lao Ba and said, "Lao Ba, let's assume what you said is true. These Twin Sisters were born on the same day, but have you ever seen anyone who died on the same day as well? Look at them; they almost seem to have died at the same age." If what Jiao Ba said was true, it didn't quite fit with common sense. Was there some hidden truth? 0

Jiao Ba glanced again at the female corpse in the coffin and spoke in a low voice, "From their appearance, these Sister Flowers should be burial companions." 0

"Burial companions? Who are they accompanying?" I asked in confusion. 0

Jiao Ba squinted his eyes and said, "That's hard to say for now. This is just my speculation. To fully prove this point, we need to find something from her." 0

"What kind of thing?" I turned to look at him. 0

"Half of the pendant," Jiao Ba said, looking at me and enunciating each word clearly. 0

"You mean the other half of the Phoenix Pendant?" I seemed to grasp his meaning. 0

"That's right, it's this half of the Phoenix Pendant. Only by finding this half can we solve the problems that lie ahead. Right now, anything else is just speculation," Jiao Ba said, his eyes sparkling with excitement as if victory was within reach. 0

His words eased my anxiety a bit. I smirked and said, "So what are we waiting for? Let's get to work." 0

Just as we were about to start searching the body, a sudden flash of light outside caught our attention, followed by someone calling our names. 0

"Loyalty and Righteousness, Jiao Ba, where are you?" 0

"Loyalty and Righteousness, Jiao Ba." 0

It was Jenny and Mai Lao's voices. I quickly crouched down behind the window to take a look. A lifeboat was approaching us, carrying several people. I couldn't see who they were, but I recognized two figures at the front—one was Jenny, and the other was Mai Lao. 0

"Oh no, how did Jenny and Mai Lao get here?" I whispered to Jiao Ba from my hiding spot. At that moment, I felt like a thief. 0

Jiao Ba crawled over to peek from the other side of the window. "They must have realized we were missing and came looking for us. Brother Yi, what should we do now?" 0

"Quickly! While they haven't arrived yet, let's cover the coffin and find a place to hide. If Jenny and the others find us, it won't be easy to explain," I urged. If we did this, it might raise their suspicions; it would make us look like villains. Last time, we could push the blame onto Bearded Man with what we got from Coffin Corpse, but this time it wouldn't work. 0

In moments of urgency, people often tap into hidden potential. Jiao Ba and I gathered all our strength; my face even turned red from effort. Together, we managed to lift the coffin lid and quietly placed it back on top. 0

Once the lid was properly positioned, I whispered to Jiao Ba, "Hurry up! Find a place to hide; they're coming over soon." 0

Jiao Ba was also anxious. "Where the hell can I hide? There's nowhere to go!" 0

Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck me. "I've got it! Quickly, hide in the freezer downstairs. They probably won't think to look there. And whatever you do, don't come out unless I call you." 0

Jiao Bayi's face turned pale as he replied, "But will that really work? It's freezing in there; I might freeze to death!" 0

"Stop being so dramatic. Just endure it for a bit; once they see we're not around, they'll leave quickly." I patted his arm, urging him to hurry. 0

"Alright, I'm going now. But what about you, Brother Yi? What will you do?" Jiao Ba asked. 0

"Don't worry about me; I have my own plans. Just go! They're about to board the ship," I said from the window. 0

Without hesitation, Jiao Ba turned and slipped away. I kept my eyes on Mai Lao and the others, waiting for them to board. It was then that I noticed Shunzi was with them too. 0

What was he doing here? What had he been up to in the middle of the night? This felt strange; something just didn't add up, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. 0

I quietly approached the door and peeked out towards the passage. Soon enough, a flashlight beam pierced through the darkness, followed by footsteps and Mai Lao's voice calling out, "Loyalty and Righteousness, Jiao Ba, are you here?" 0

"We're checking each cabin; we can't let anything go wrong," came Jenny's voice. 0

The light swept around as they inspected each cabin. Then Shunzi called out, "Lao Ba, Brother Yi, where are you?" The empty, dark passage echoed with his voice, creating an eerie atmosphere. 0

The light was getting closer. However, I had already devised a plan. I quickly moved to the window, bracing myself against the sill with one hand before flipping over and jumping out. 0

But instead of dropping down, I clung tightly to the outer ledge of the window. The height of the windowsill perfectly concealed my fingers; unless someone came close enough to inspect carefully, they would never notice me. My intention was also to eavesdrop on what they might say. 0

About half a minute later, a flashlight beam pierced through, and I could see the reflection on the glass from my spot under the windowsill, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps. 0

"There's nothing here either. Where could they have gone? Huh? Why is there a coffin here?" It was Jenny's voice. 0

"Yeah, how did this coffin end up at the bow of the ship?" That was the voice of the Big Guy. 0

"Let's not worry about the coffin for now; finding people is more important. Has everyone checked all the cabins?" Mai Lao asked. 0

"We've checked everywhere, even the control room and the kitchen, but we still haven't found Brother Yi and the others," Shunzi replied. 0

"Shunzi, when did you notice that Loyalty and Righteousness and Jiao Ba were missing?" Mai Lao inquired. 0

"Well... how should I put it? I was sleeping at the time, so I can't remember exactly when. I just recall that in the middle of the night, I groggily heard Brother Yi calling for me. He told me to go to the Storage Room to find him because he had something urgent to discuss. I got up and went there, but I waited at the door for a long time without seeing him. When I returned, he wasn't in the Rest Cabin either, which is why I woke everyone up." 0

Shunzi seemed to be near the windowsill; his voice was clear as if he were right in front of me. However, I felt a surge of anger rising within me, nearly unable to hold back my words. How could he lie with his eyes wide open? Claiming that I called him in the middle of the night and sent him to the Storage Room was absolute nonsense. 0

Suddenly, I recalled a scene from my dream: all of our bodies piled up in that right-side Storage Room, yet Shunzi's body was conspicuously absent. And then there was that Cat-Eyed Man in Black from my dream—it was him. In my dream, he had even slashed my throat. 0

Was this some sort of subconscious thought or something else? My mind was already a bit chaotic, and Shunzi's words only added to the confusion. What did he mean by that? Was he trying to push me into the spotlight? Or did he have ulterior motives? I truly underestimated this big boy... 0
