"What's wrong?" Zhao Wei asked irritably.
"Actually, you are still quite charming like this, really," Cui Ming said, looking at Eva. "Eva, your judgment of women isn't very accurate. Speaking of which, Eva wasn't wrong—Zhao Wei had an amazing figure. She was as firm as if she were wearing a bra.
On the way back, the two women chatted behind him, mostly with Eva doing the talking. Zhao Wei listened but it was clear her patience had reached its limit; she couldn't bear to listen any longer but forced herself to endure her emotions. This suggested that over the past few years, Zhao Wei and Evelyn had not gotten along well.
The professor had mentioned in his research that practicing the Six Elements—especially meditation—made practitioners more indifferent towards romantic relationships compared to ordinary people. The professor... right! He should visit the professor's grave; he felt guilty for not having thought of him all day after returning home. Without him, there would be no current self.

Cui Ming interrupted Wandering's thoughts: “Senior, do you know about Lich?”
“Lich?” Wandering looked at Cui Ming and recounted the story of Lich. Over three years ago, Lich had a child, and before the child turned one year old, it was discovered that the child was Strategy. After investigating, Lich learned that her child was indeed Strategy and went to prison to find Cui Ming, only to be informed that Cui Ming had already been released. Further investigation revealed that Cui Ming had signed up for the Assessment Match. Consequently, she sought help and first approached the Professor. Although the Professor could not withstand Warden's interrogation, he gained little information. Under these circumstances, Lich ordered them to go to Hero City and capture Cui Ming to bring back to Shadow Island.
Now, Lich had given up on her son and focused on raising her daughter, who had inherited at least eighty percent of Lich's power. As her daughter's strength grew, Lich found herself nearing death. Similarly, her daughter, who inherited this power, became a guardian of Shadow Island and could not leave.
This news was the best for Cui Ming; however, Wandering also mentioned that Lich did not kill her son. The two-year deadline written by the Professor was incorrect; if Lich found a way for Strategy to cultivate power, she might force her obedient daughter to commit suicide to regain her strength. Of course, this regained power would also be diminished. But what made Lich terrifying was not just her Force equivalent but also her various treasures and extensive magical knowledge combined with powerful magic.
Eva asked: “Senior, does this mean Lich might still seek trouble with Cui Ming?”
Wandering nodded: “It’s possible but still relatively unlikely. Cui Ming, as far as I know, there are three people hunting you down: Toad is severely injured and reportedly has not recovered yet; clearly not an ordinary injury but one caused by backlash from magic. Wraith has been eliminated, and Warden hurriedly left Three Continents without daring to stay long. Did they cross paths with you?”
Cui Ming pointed towards the distant desert: “Not with me but with a senior over there.”

Cui Ming agreed: “Indeed, I rely on my instincts; when Li Qing recommended using power techniques, I practiced those; whatever others suggested for training is what I practiced.”
"Wandering" looked at Eva and asked, "Are you saying that the Lich might be looking for the Crow?"
"The Crow definitely exists. He is not very old, and given his strength, I don't believe he would suddenly fall victim to an ambush," Eva replied. "The Lich always has some abilities we are unaware of. If he is determined to find the Crow, with a bit of luck, he might just succeed."
