In the Sui Kingdom, there are six major cultivation sects, among which the Cloud Spirit Sect possesses the deepest heritage and the strongest power, holding a prominent position within the kingdom. To the east of the Cloud Spirit Sect lies the vast ocean, where incursions from the Sea Tribe occasionally occur.
One of the missions of the Cloud Spirit Sect is to guard the passage that leads from the Sea Tribe to the heart of the Sui Kingdom.
Ji Mei's lips moved as she sang a captivating melody. Though her voice was soft, it resonated clearly throughout the hundred-mile radius surrounding the Cloud Spirit Sect. As she sang, dark clouds gathered over the Azure Sea Blue to the east, racing toward the Cloud Spirit Sect in a menacing rush.
The calm surface of the sea erupted into towering waves, reaching heights of a hundred feet. In an instant, these waves crashed onto the shore, obliterating all defensive structures that had been set up by the Cloud Spirit Sect along the coastline. The disciples stationed there met their demise beneath the monstrous waves.
What terrified those within the Cloud Spirit Sect even more was that powerful fluctuations of Soul Power emanated from eighteen positions atop their peak. Ji Mei's singing had awakened a formation she had quietly prepared long ago!
This formation was likely a Teleportation Array leading directly to the Master Peak of the Cloud Spirit Sect!
The array had been activated, and in that moment, its focal point was nowhere to be found, leaving them at a loss for what to do.
"The Cloud Spirit Sect has colluded with the Sea Tribe Demoness, attempting to overthrow the Sui Kingdom! Such a grave crime deserves death!"
The Iron General declared fiercely, his armored soldiers filled with righteous indignation, their morale surging as they shouted for blood.
"Kill that Demoness!" Dong Hua felt as though he had been slapped hard across the face. It was he who had brought Ji Mei into the Cloud Spirit Sect and cared for her, believing she could become a key figure within their ranks.
He never imagined she was one of the Sea Tribe!
There had never been peace between humans and the Sea Tribe; they constantly sought to invade human territory while humans sought to eradicate them for generations. Unfortunately, with the vastness of the ocean, finding the Sea Tribe's Base of Operations was nearly impossible. Even if they did find it underwater, could they truly contend with them?
Dong Hua's expression darkened as he vanished from his spot. In an instant, his fist struck Ji Mei.
Her body shattered into fragments but revealed only an afterimage! Realizing he had been deceived, Dong Hua turned around just as a light laugh echoed in his ear: "Thank you for your care, Master Dou."
As soon as her words fell, a dagger coated in green venom appeared in Ji Mei's hand and plunged viciously into Dong Hua's back.
However, being a Fifth Rank Spirit Realm expert, Dong Hua's reflexes were exceptional. He shifted his body slightly, causing Ji Mei's dagger to miss its vital target and instead leave a bloody mark on his left rib!
But that was enough!
What a sight it was! As Dong Hua plummeted under the effects of a deadly poison, a fierce palm struck Ji Mei squarely on her right shoulder. That blow contained terrifying Soul Power, and its force was immense. Blood mist erupted from Ji Mei's shoulder as a large chunk of flesh was torn away, leaving her unable to withstand the fall.
Song He narrowly caught Dong Hua, immediately pulling out a pill and forcing it into Dong Hua's mouth. Under the protection of several Alchemy Path disciples, they fled into the forest.
"Kill that Demoness!"
Hai Dongbo shouted loudly, ready to fly toward Ji Mei to take her life. However, Iron General coldly waved his hand and said, "Before we deal with external threats, we must first secure our own. Eliminate the Cloud Spirit Sect first! You all swiftly kill the elder-level figures of the Cloud Spirit Sect, and I will confront Sui Kingdom's strongest, Dong Hua!"
Dozens of Spirit Realm experts fell silent as they dispersed to attack the higher-ups of the Cloud Spirit Sect. Hai Dongbo was intercepted by four Spirit Realm experts, leaving him no chance to deal with Ji Mei.

Iron General charged at Dong Hua with his long knife drawn. Dong Hua did not dare to let his guard down and swung his sword in response.
Ji Mei was not severely injured, but her right hand was temporarily incapacitated, leaving her with little fighting power. Some Cloud Spirit Sect disciples who had yet to leave the peak and were engaged in battle with the royal Army looked at the weakened Ji Mei with eager eyes.
"I just activated a secret technique to notify the Sea Tribe to advance and opened the Teleportation Array. The energy expenditure has been immense. Although I temporarily possessed Fifth Rank Spirit Realm strength through that technique, I also injured Dong Hua. Now that I’ve returned to my original state, I fear I may not make it out of here."
Ji Mei's face shone with an enchanting glow; even as Cloud Spirit Sect disciples gradually closed in on her, her beauty held a breathtaking allure.
"However, since the mission has been accomplished, even if I die, it would still be worth it."
Ji Mei looked at the approaching Cloud Spirit Sect disciples and smiled lightly. "Do you want to kill me? Then come on! The Sea Tribe Army will arrive within two hours with dozens of Spirit Realm experts coming through the Teleportation Array. Go ahead and kill me; I’m waiting for you to accompany me in death."
Ji Mei looked at the battlefield above, where Hai Dongbo was surrounded. Qin Tai, Dong Sheng, and the Three Elders of the Cloud Spirit Sect had suffered injuries and were retreating in defeat. The battle between the Iron General and Donghua was fierce, with no clear victor in sight. It seemed that the royal family could indeed wipe out the Cloud Spirit Sect.
"The Iron General is just a brute. At a time like this, why engage in internal strife? It's truly bizarre. If only someone with a brain were here, they would join forces with the Cloud Spirit Sect to deal with our Sea Tribe Army. However, I actually like the Iron General's temperament; once they both suffer heavy losses, we can reap the benefits," Ji Mei thought, a smile unconsciously appearing on her lips. Several disciples from the Cloud Spirit Sect glared at her fiercely, but she didn't care.

A dozen disciples surrounded Ji Mei, their weapons aimed at her vital points. Yet, they hesitated to strike first. One reason was to guard against any hidden tricks Ji Mei might have; another reason was that Ji Mei was simply too beautiful—few men could bring themselves to harm such a woman.
What a waste!
"Get lost!"
An angry voice rang out as Zhao Yu approached with a sword in hand, coldly staring at Ji Mei.
"If you can't bring yourselves to strike, then get out of the way. I will kill the Sea Tribe Demoness!" Zhao Yu stepped closer, narrowing her eyes as she scrutinized Ji Mei. Coldly, she said, "Ji Mei, who would have thought you were the Sea Tribe Demoness? I suppose Wei Chen has been deceived by you as well?"
Ji Mei smiled slightly, as if she could see through Zhao Yu's thoughts. "I know everything about you all; I've been watching it all unfold."
Zhao Yu froze for a moment, her almond-shaped eyes flashing with cold light. The fear on her face was hard to conceal as she crouched down and leaned closer to Ji Mei's ear, whispering coldly, "What did you see?"
"What you all did on the grassland—what else could it be? Zhao Kuo was killed by Wei Chen, while Zhao Chen was killed by me, simply to help him," Ji Mei replied nonchalantly. Zhao Yu's expression grew increasingly grim. She had thought that matter was airtight; little did she know that Ji Mei had been an eyewitness!
"What is your relationship with Wei Chen?" Zhao Yu asked coldly.
"What else could it be? I've been fighting with Song He for him," Ji Mei said, her face beaming with a smile, showing no signs of anxiety or tension.
Her somewhat ambiguous expression completely infuriated Zhao Yu. With the tip of his dagger pressed against Ji Mei's chest, he glared at her coldly and said, "Do you believe I will kill you?"
"Why must women make things difficult for each other?" A voice tinged with bitterness emerged. Turning to look, Wei Chen stepped out from the nearby woods, slowly approaching Zhao Yu and Ji Mei. The disciples of the Cloud Spirit Sect scattered like mice fleeing from a cat at the sight of him.
The scene of Wei Chen killing the Fourth Rank Spirit Realm master Song Xiao was still fresh in their minds; anyone who stood in his way was simply asking for death.
"Zhao Yu, I am sorry for what happened, but this has nothing to do with Ji Mei. Let her go," Wei Chen said with a bitter smile.
"She is from the Sea Tribe. The Cloud Spirit Sect and even the Sui Kingdom would suffer great disasters because of her!" Zhao Yu said coldly, though he subtly withdrew the dagger from Ji Mei's chest.
"So what if she is from the Sea Tribe? All I know is that she just saved my life and previously killed Zhao Chen to preserve your reputation. She has done you a favor. If you seek revenge, it should be on me; Ji Mei has no deep enmity with you. Besides, even without the Sea Tribe's attack, can the Cloud Spirit Sect really hold its ground? The royal family's strength far surpasses that of the Cloud Spirit Sect," Wei Chen stated plainly.
Upon hearing this, the fierce look in Zhao Yu's eyes gradually faded, replaced by a hint of melancholy. Unlike Wei Chen, she felt a sense of belonging to the Cloud Spirit Sect.
At that moment, the sounds of battle grew closer. The disciples of the Cloud Spirit Sect moved forward to intercept the royal army, but the royal family had long been prepared. "The Sea Tribe Army is set to attack Sui Kingdom, and this place is a necessary route for them. It will become chaotic here. Given our strength, it's best not to get involved; preserving our lives is paramount. This can also leave some foundation for the Cloud Spirit Sect."
Wei Chen looked at Zhao Yu with hopeful eyes, but she remained silent.
After a moment, Zhao Yu resolutely shook her head and took a few steps back. Her beautiful eyes held a hint of reluctance and farewell as she said softly, "I will stand with the Cloud Spirit Sect through thick and thin. You are no longer one of us; if you can escape, do so quickly."

"By the time she comes back out, perhaps it will be with countless Sea Tribe Soldiers," Wei Chen thought to himself, unsure of how to react.
At that moment, a senior sister from the Flower Soul Lineage appeared in his line of sight. Upon seeing Wei Chen, she hurried over and exclaimed, "Wei Chen, your sister has been captured by a powerful enemy! You need to go check it out!"
Wei Chen's expression turned to one of shock and anger. "What happened?"
"Elder Yun took us Flower Soul Lineage disciples to confront the enemy when suddenly a man in black appeared. He not only captured Sister Weirou but also... Elder Yun... Wuwuwu..." The senior sister collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. From her words, did that mean Elder Yun was also dead?
As she cried, the senior sister looked up and clearly saw the surging killing intent in Wei Chen's eyes, boiling with rage!
