A shadow lurking in the darkness slowly emerged.
The woman, dressed in a colorful battle skirt, looked down at Mi with a gaze that seemed to pierce through the soul. Her voice was deep and haunting, like that of a demon from hell. "You old bastard, do you really think you can take my master away to make him a slave?"
It was none other than Ni Junlin, the Seven-Colored Devouring Python, who had been secretly protecting Wei Chen all along. Though she often displayed jealousy, in critical moments of life and death, she would never falter.
The powerful aura caused Mi's expression to shift slightly.
"Where did this woman come from? This Wei Chen has such a strong protector by his side?"
Realizing the situation was dire, Mi clenched his hand tightly!
The mass of Soul Power surrounding Wei Chen was suddenly compressed and condensed violently before exploding with a deafening roar!
Countless fragments flew and fell, turning the entire courtyard into dust in an instant!
At the moment Ni Junlin revealed herself, Wei Chen had already set up a formation. The instant Mi's hand tightened, he vanished within the mass of Soul Power and reappeared in the room, scooping up the sleeping Snow Cicada and taking off to escape the blast radius.
The terrifying shockwave reduced everything within a hundred-meter radius of the courtyard to mere dust!
Yet all of this happened without a sound!
Several guest elders—Red Man, Execution Wolf, and Zhou Wu—whose courtyard lay within a hundred miles, were already dead.

Seeing this scene, both Wei Chen and Ni Junlin's expressions changed drastically!

Wei Chen flipped his palm a few times, quickly setting up a formation that could transmit over a longer distance, before disappearing into it.
Just as Mi was about to pursue him, Ni Junlin threw out a colorful ribbon that wrapped around him.
This delay allowed Wei Chen to escape far away.
He suddenly appeared in an empty space, spread his wings, and flew several miles in an instant, stealthily entering an inn. He gently placed Snow Cicada down and said, "Don't worry, wait for me here."
"Young Master, Snow Cicada will wait for your return."
Snow Cicada's words reached Wei Chen's ears as he flew out of the inn, flapping his wings back to the sky above Dingsheng Trading Company.
This back-and-forth only took a few breaths. Ni Junlin and Mi were already engaged in battle; the terrifying power they unleashed made it impossible for Wei Chen to intervene. He could only anxiously watch from a distance.
Dingsheng Trading Company was in chaos, with countless people screaming and fleeing. Wherever Ni Junlin and Mi passed, not a single inch of land remained intact. Those who encountered them could not withstand the aftermath of an Earth Soul Realm Expert's battle, meeting a gruesome end.
Elder Di appeared beside Wei Chen and coldly asked, "What’s going on?"
"That woman is my bodyguard. The other person appears to be the Black Moon Sect Leader, but in reality, he is the Soul Palace Master!"
"Soul Palace Master?"
Upon hearing this, Elder Di's face lit up with excitement as he soared towards Mi.

He knew all too well that if Mi got away, Weirou's safety would be compromised. If they fled to the Central Domain, where would they find Weirou? This was their only chance!
Hearing this, Ni Junlin turned back and glanced at Wei Chen. The sorrowful look in his eyes made Wei Chen uneasy.
"Old Fellow, hold him back; don't let him escape!"
"Ni Junlin" called out, and "Elder Di" fearlessly charged toward the strongest attack from Mi.
Mi's secret technique was interrupted, and with a furious shout, he unleashed a punch that struck "Elder Di" hard, sending him flying and causing blood to spurt wildly.
At that moment, "Ni Junlin's" voice echoed throughout the area!
"In the name of Devouring, summon Rainbow Cloud, suppress all!"

With his eyes closed, "Ni Junlin" chanted those words over and over again. The entire space resonated with those phrases, as if they were runes creating ripples that caused time to freeze. Everyone halted their movements; time had come to a standstill!
A Rainbow Cloud slowly floated out, pressing down toward Mi under everyone's watchful gaze.
Mi's expression turned to one of horror as he watched the auspicious cloud approach him until it completely engulfed him, transforming him into a wisp of soul within the cloud.
Everyone watched in clear detail; the speed was excruciatingly slow! Yet that slowness was such that even the expert from the Earth Soul Realm could not evade it!
After defeating Mi, the auspicious cloud gradually returned to "Ni Junlin," enveloping her entirely before rapidly spinning and vanishing into thin air.
The chanting ceased.
Everything felt surreal!
The crowd snapped back to reality, exchanging astonished glances.
"What just happened?"
"Has time stopped?"
"Definitely not. No matter how powerful someone is, they can't make time stand still!"
"Then what is going on?"
"It must be that woman's speed; it's so fast that it feels like a moment hasn't even passed. But we can see clearly that her singing has slowed down time!"
"Just now, someone urged that woman to kill at all costs. Who is he?"
In the darkness, no one could see Wei Chen clearly. When everyone turned back to look in his direction, he had already vanished without a trace.
Inside the inn, Wei Chen stared at the palm-sized Rainbow Cloud in his hand, feeling a sinking sensation in his heart.
"Young Master, are you alright?" Snow Cicada asked with concern.
Wei Chen forced a smile and waved his hand. "I'm fine. Don't ask me anything else; just let me be alone for a while."
Snow Cicada obediently sat to the side, no longer bothering Wei Chen. Although she didn't quite understand what had happened, it was clear from Wei Chen's expression that he was in a very bad mood.
She noticed that Wei Chen looked defeated, as if he had just gone through a great calamity.
Wei Chen gazed at the Rainbow Cloud that had already transformed into Jade, remaining silent for a long time.
His eyes glinted with a crimson coldness as he roared inwardly, "Who can tell me what is happening?"
"Ni Junlin, get out here! Didn't you want me to marry you? Come out right now, and I will marry you immediately!"
"I mean it! I will marry you right away! Just get out of this damned thing; if I don't marry you, I'm not human!"
"Are you not the Seven-Colored Devouring Python? How could you possibly be dead? What is this Rainbow Cloud?"
"I only told you to try your best to kill Mi, not to exchange your life for it!"
Scenes of interacting with Ni Junlin flashed through Wei Chen's mind. Since Sword Mountain, Ni Junlin had been by his side, and over time, Ni Junlin had unknowingly occupied a significant place in Wei Chen's heart.
In the past, Wei Chen could never have anticipated that Ni Junlin would transform into a piece of inexplicably beautiful Rainbow Cloud Jade. It was only now that he realized the gravity of the situation.
"Can someone tell me what is going on here?"
Wei Chen stared at the piece of Rainbow Cloud Jade, tears of blood streaming from the corners of his eyes.
"Since there is still this piece left, there must be a way to break it. You can't just die so easily. You are the Seven-Colored Devouring Python; how could you be dead? I still need to go to the Central Domain and to even higher realms. Without your protection, how can I go with peace of mind?"
Time passed slowly as Wei Chen fixed his gaze on the colorful jade stone, remaining motionless throughout the night.
The next day, when the first rays of sunlight streamed in, Wei Chen carefully tucked the colorful jade into his embrace, stood up, and looked at Snow Cicada.
Snow Cicada hadn't slept all night; she had been quietly watching Wei Chen. Seeing him in such low spirits affected her mood as well.
When Wei Chen stood up, Snow Cicada quickly asked, "Young Master, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. I'm taking you to a place; Ling City is no longer safe."
Wei Chen took Snow Cicada's hand and flew straight out towards Peach Blossom Island.
Having gone through the formations with Han Mang before, Wei Chen had memorized their structures. This time, entering Peach Blossom Island with Snow Cicada went smoothly without encountering any restrictions.
As they landed in the center of Peach Blossom Island, Han Mang, Han Che, and Pharmaceutical Sovereign immediately came out. They had sensed the battle at Dingsheng Trading Company and rushed to the scene only to find no trace of Wei Chen. They returned to Peach Blossom Island anxiously waiting.
Seeing that Wei Chen was fine, the three of them breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously.
“Wei Chen, what exactly happened at Dingsheng Trading Company? Could it be true that three Earth Soul Realm Level Four experts fought?” Han Mang asked urgently.
“Yes, they were all Earth Soul Realm Level Four. It was two against one, yet they still couldn't hold back the Soul Palace Master.”

Han Mang and the others were taken aback. The Soul Palace Master had appeared?
“Stop beating around the bush and tell us everything you know,” Han Mang pressed.
Under Han Mang's questioning, Wei Chen selectively recounted the events involving Mi and the Black Moon Sect. Mi's strength allowed him to withstand the attacks of two Earth Soul Realm Level Four experts. He himself was also at that level, yet he could achieve such a feat; the methods of the Soul Palace were truly beyond what ordinary people could imagine.
“What good does that do us? We should unite with the major forces in Ling City to eliminate the Soul Palace. Now that we know where their headquarters is, no matter how powerful they are, they can't withstand a siege,” Han Mang said coldly.
Wei Chen shook his head with a bitter smile. “My sister is still there. The priority is to rescue her. If anything happens to her, even if we destroy the Soul Palace, what good would it do me?
