Wei Chen's heart jolted at the words, and he opened his mouth, but no words came out.
"Ji Mei?"
That name felt distant to Wei Chen.
"That woman... when I was at Cloud Spirit Sect, she stripped and seduced me... She even saved me; without her, I might already be dead," Wei Chen thought to himself.
Musa noticed Wei Chen lost in thought and chuckled lightly, "Are you thinking about that woman?"
"No, no, don't be ridiculous," Wei Chen shook his head in denial.
"Hehe, don't deny it. Your eyes have already betrayed your thoughts. We're all men here; our thoughts are the same. Ji Mei is incredibly beautiful, and you had a good relationship with her at Cloud Spirit Sect. I don't believe you don't think about her," Musa teased with a grin.
Wei Chen was speechless; how did this guy know so much?
"If you don't want to know more, I won't continue. After all, you don't care about that woman; there's no need for you to know her news," Musa said as he prepared to leave.
Wei Chen quickly stopped him and glanced discreetly towards Mu Qingyan, Snow Cicada, and Weirou before whispering, "Fourth Brother, you're my Fourth Brother, right? Tell me, what happened to Ji Mei?"
"What do you hope happened to her? The Sea Tribe has retreated; what else could she do?" Musa scoffed.
"Is she dead? Don't fool me. If she were dead, you wouldn't be so mysterious with me," Wei Chen replied.
Musa lowered his voice and said, "Ji Mei's identity is not simple at all. Her status in the Sea Tribe is equivalent to the daughter of the Fire Sect Master among humans..."
"What?"
Wei Chen was taken aback.
"It's true. I got this information by coincidence. Ji Mei is not just a princess of the Eastern Wasteland's Sea Tribe; she is the princess of the entire Sea Tribe. The Sea Tribe in the eastern waters of the Eastern Wasteland is merely a small branch of the vast Sea Tribe."
Musa's words were shocking, leaving Wei Chen stunned.
"Then why would she come to the Eastern Wasteland's Cloud Spirit Sect to hide? With a place like Cloud Spirit Sect, she shouldn't even have glanced at it," Wei Chen asked curiously.
"She came out to experience life, traveling wherever she wants. The Sea Witch Empress dotes on her immensely; no matter what she does, the Sea Witch Empress won't interfere."
"The Sea Witch Empress... doesn't she worry about her precious daughter's safety?" Wei Chen inquired.
Musa pouted, "Do you think just anyone can kill her? Let me tell you, even a Peak Soul Realm Expert wouldn't be able to kill her. She possesses the bloodline of the Sea Witch Empress, and with that kind of formidable endowment, just a few secret techniques could easily take someone like you out in seconds."
"Uh."
Wei Chen was speechless, his face showing confusion. How did he know so much about Ji Mei? This wasn't normal!
"Mu brother, be honest. How do you know all this? Don't try to fool me with some accidental knowledge; do you think I would believe that?"
Upon hearing Wei Chen's words, Musa smiled ingratiatingly and flew over to Mu Qingyan on her Pegasus, avoiding Wei Chen's question.
Wei Chen quietly took note; he had to find an opportunity to get to the bottom of it.
As they flew northwest, Wei Chen and his group finally saw the vast ocean.
Han Mang gathered everyone together and said seriously, "From here to the Central Domain, the shortest route is still five hundred thousand miles. We don't know if we'll encounter any islands along the way. If we don't find any supplies or places to rest, our Pegasus will tire out, and we will end up exhausted at sea."
"Old man, is it really that serious? If we have fewer people but stronger abilities, how did Mr. Mo and the others make it to the Central Domain?" Wei Chen asked, furrowing his brow.
The others also frowned at Han Mang. Was this old man just trying to scare them? If it was truly that terrifying, wouldn't it be nearly impossible to travel from the Eastern Region to the Central Domain?
Han Mang sighed with a bitter smile. "I never joke around. The situation is very dire; getting to the Central Domain is extremely difficult. If it were easy, there would be countless people making the journey. The Central Domain has abundant cultivation resources, and every Soul Warrior who wants to achieve something would want to go there."
"To be honest with you, every year there are strong individuals from the Eastern Region who attempt to cross the sea to reach the Central Domain, but the success rate is not high. I think only about one in ten actually makes it."
Old Man Han Mang's expression grew serious.
Wei Chen, along with Musa, Mu Yang, Mu Qingyan, Weirou, Snow Cicada, Jiang Langying, and Ginger Tooth all looked heavy-hearted after hearing Han Mang's words.
So, going to the Central Domain was essentially a life-and-death gamble?
Wei Chen hesitated for a moment before frowning again. "Old man, you weren't saying this at first, were you? I'm sure you're deliberately keeping us in suspense. If it were truly that difficult, you would have told us long ago."
Han Mang had no response, but Han Che chuckled and said, "Don't listen to his nonsense. What he says is true, but who would choose to fly over to the Central Domain? Whether flying themselves or riding a beast, it's ultimately a dead end."
"You old fellows are really disrespectful! We're here on edge while you're just messing with us—what a joke!" Musa was more direct than Wei Chen and openly mocked them.
"Alright then, actually there are specialized Warships available for traveling to the Central Domain," Han Mang said with a long face and a bitter smile.
"See? Who would choose to fly when there are Warships? Only an idiot would do that," Musa scoffed immediately.
Wei Chen noticed Han Mang's helpless expression and thought to himself, "Could there be something more to this? That old Fellow seems quite unwilling."
Han Che explained, "Ordinary Warships can't travel that far without needing to stop for maintenance. Moreover, out in the vast ocean, we might encounter Sea Tribe attacks. The Warship must be powerful enough, equipped with both offensive and defensive formations. This journey demands a high standard for the Warship, and our financial resources are limited; we can't afford such advanced Warships. So the only option is to borrow one."
"Isn't that perfectly normal? Since someone is in that business, why not just rent it?" Wei Chen replied.
"The problem lies here. The Boss who runs this business has some connections with my elder brother... Well... when they were younger, they had some physical interactions, and in the end, he turned out to be a scoundrel, running off to the Ling Sheng Dynasty and leaving that woman alone in the Ming-Qing Holy Dynasty..." Han Che revealed Han Mang's past. Han Mang glared angrily but ultimately sighed deeply.
"You all wait here; I'll go rent a Warship."
With that, Han Mang instructed them and flew off.
Wei Chen found the situation quite amusing; that old Fellow had quite a romantic past when he was younger!
"Let's see how he fares on this trip; I suspect he won't be able to borrow one..." Han Che said with a bitter smile, shaking his head and sighing again. "That woman is very capable; her presence connects the Eastern Region and the Central Domain. Within the Eastern Region, no one would dare offend her. Even in the Central Domain, her status is not low."
"To manage such a large business, she must be one of the seventeen Ninth-Rank Powers?" Wei Chen laughed.
Han Che looked at Wei Chen with surprise, thinking to himself that this kid knows quite a bit!
Strong, powerful, cunning, and well-informed—such a person would thrive anywhere.
"The closest area of the Central Domain is under the influence of the Nine-Rank Sect's Blackwater Sect. They have many Eighth-Rank Sects under their banner. Once we reach Blackwater Territory, we will have to rely on them to establish an Eighth-Rank Sect. However, it won't be easy; if that woman decides to make things difficult for us at Peach Blossom Sect, many Eighth-Rank Sects will come looking for trouble. You all need to be prepared; once we reach the Central Domain, things won't be as optimistic as you think," Han Che explained.
"It's better if it's not optimistic. If everything goes smoothly without any issues, that kind of life would be boring!" Wei Chen laughed.
"You kid talks big now; just don't mess things up later. By the way, Mighty and his group should also be renting a Warship."
The two were engaged in conversation, leaving others unable to interject. Everyone knew that the current backbone of the group was Han Mang and Wei Chen. Ginger Tooth's strength in the Human Soul Realm ranked after Han Mang, Han Che, and the Pharmaceutical Sovereign, but Ginger Tooth was cold by nature, disliking conversation and refraining from participating in any decision-making. Jiang Langying, being a woman, spent her time chatting with Mu Qingyan or discussing beauty tips with Snow Cicada and Weirou, completely indifferent to the noise made by the men.
The Soul World was a realm for the strong, and in reality, it was also a man's world. It was rare for women to cultivate to an extremely high level and ascend to prominent positions, as their nature was not suited for warfare.
After understanding some basic circumstances, Han Mang returned.
Wei Chen quickly asked, "How did it go? Were you able to borrow it?"
"No," Han Mang replied dejectedly, his face pale with disappointment. It seemed he not only failed to borrow it but had also been humiliated.
Han Che patted his brother's shoulder and comforted him, "It's not entirely your fault for what happened back then. If we can't borrow it, we'll take a longer route. We'll fly for a while and find an island to rest and resupply. It may take more time, but we'll get there eventually."
"Exactly! Don't lose your spirit over this. If we can't borrow it, we don't need it anyway, right?" Wei Chen added with a reassuring smile.
Musa stopped joking around; he stood quietly with Mu Yang, listening intently.
"The old hag! I knew she wouldn't lend us the Warship; we'll just have to fly there ourselves," Han Mang said angrily.
"Then let’s fly; it will just take a bit longer," came the reply.
"Longer? If we had taken the Warship, twenty-five days would have been enough. Flying ourselves means we’ll need to find a place to land and rest; going around in circles will take at least six months!" Han Mang retorted irritably.
"Six months it is then. We have no other choice. Spending extra time can be considered training," Wei Chen maintained a positive attitude despite the situation.
"Alright, let's go."
With a sorrowful expression on his face, Han Mang contemplated for a moment before deciding to adopt that one risky method.
The group procured food and spent a fortune to purchase double the number of Pegasi, with each person riding two in turns as they set off in grand procession.
Just a few dozen miles into the sea, Wei Chen sensed a massive object approaching their large troop.
He suddenly turned around and saw a dark spot in the distance. The spot gradually enlarged until it became vaguely recognizable as a warship. Han Mang and Han Che also felt the warship drawing near.
"How can your sensing ability be stronger than ours from the Earth Soul Realm?" Han Che asked, bewildered.
Wei Chen shrugged, indicating he didn't know. The news about the Demon Lotus Successor was something Mu Qingyan knew a bit about, while Ni Junlin was fully informed. As for the others, it was better not to disclose anything.
The warship continued to approach, clearly heading straight for Wei Chen and his companions.
They decided to hover in the air, waiting for the warship to come closer.
As it drew near and its full form came into view, Wei Chen was astonished. The colossal vessel before him resembled a moving castle; it was only one-tenth the size of the warships from the Ling Sheng Dynasty.
The warship slowly came to a halt, and an old woman appeared on the deck.
"Han Mang, do you really think you can go to the Central Domain with such equipment?" The old woman fixed her gaze on Han Mang and said coldly.
