Wei Chen, though skeptical, found himself at a loss for any solutions. The Reprint was just that—a reprint—but in Wei Chen's hands, it seemed incapable of even swatting a fly, let alone flipping over.
If the Reprint couldn't be flipped, how was one supposed to play with it?
"Ni Junlin and Gu Yuehong are both from that era; perhaps they might know something," Wei Chen thought to himself. He called out to Gu Yuehong and Ni Junlin, saying, "You both know about the Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts of Huaxia, right?"
"Of course, I've heard of them. Such things only exist in legends," Ni Junlin replied coldly.
"I've heard some things, but I'm not very familiar with them. The Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts should indeed exist. In the Nine Immortal Realm, two artifacts are in the hands of the strongest Immortal Emperor, the Jade Emperor, and the Western Buddha. Beyond that, I know nothing," Gu Yuehong explained.
Wei Chen took out the Reprint and said, "This item was seized by my master from the leader of the Daxing Gate; it is one of the Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts. As for why such a treasure would appear in a lowly place like the Soul World, no one can say."
"Is that true? One of the Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts? Wei Chen, you’re not just trying to amuse us, are you?" Ni Junlin's eyes were fixed on the Reprint in Wei Chen's hand, stunned into silence.
Gu Yuehong was equally astonished.
Even though they weren't sure if this was truly one of Wei Chen's Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts, the faint power emanating from it left both Gu Yuehong and Ni Junlin shocked. It was rare for anything in this world to evoke a sense of oppression in beings of their caliber.
Ni Junlin, a Seven-Colored Devouring Python, and Gu Yuehong, a Dragon Clan Red Dragon, were particularly sensitive to aura. As soon as Wei Chen took out the Reprint and controlled it with his mind, they felt an indistinct pressure radiating from it that made them break into a cold sweat.
Seeing their reactions, Wei Chen understood—it was indeed a treasure; Donghua had not misidentified it. However, figuring out how to use it would require careful study.
"Can you show me how this thing works?" Wei Chen asked.
"I don't know. Each of the Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts has its own peculiarities. While we know there are ten such artifacts, we have never actually seen any of them during our time in Huaxia World. We don't even know what they contain," Ni Junlin replied.
"Well, without any means to learn more about them, those secrets are likely reserved for the highest echelons. We've only heard tales about the Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts," Gu Yuehong added.
"I came to ask you about the usage of Reprint, so isn't this completely pointless?" Wei Chen said, feeling speechless.
Ni Junlin and Gu Yuehong exchanged awkward glances. The truth was, if they didn't know, they simply didn't know; there was nothing good about it.
Wei Chen pondered for a moment and said, "You must have seen something similar when you were in Hua Xia World, right? How do you use such artifacts?"
Ni Junlin replied, "It's pretty much the same. You infuse your cultivated power system into it, treating the artifact as a medium to release that power. In other words, the artifact's function lies in enhancing your power."
"Yes, that's about what I know too. You can try using this Reprint to unleash Soul Technique. It might yield some unexpected results," Gu Yuehong added.
Since both Ni Junlin and Gu Yuehong had said so, Wei Chen had no better ideas. He immediately began to infuse a large amount of Soul Power into the Reprint, activating a Palm Power Soul Technique and releasing it.
However, the effect was zero, or even negative. Not only did it fail to enhance his power, but it also weakened it significantly.
Wei Chen felt frustrated. Here he was with a Treasure, yet he had no idea how to use it. The feeling of being unable to produce results was truly unbearable.
"Wei Chen, I think it might be an issue with the power system. This kind of thing can definitely only be used in Hua Xia World or even the Nine Immortal Realm. The cultivation systems there are really advanced. It's not that I look down on this Soul World, but rather that this Soul World is too primitive; this kind of Soul Power can't activate the Reprint," Gu Yuehong explained helplessly.
Ni Junlin hesitated for a moment before suddenly exclaiming, "Wei Chen! Your Soul Technique and Palm Power weren't enhanced; they were actually weakened!"
"Yeah, I noticed that! This damn thing doesn't amplify my power; instead, it weakens it! Isn't that just ridiculous?" Wei Chen said while holding the Reprint, his expression one of despair.
Ni Junlin suggested, "Could it be that the weakened Soul Power was absorbed by the Reprint? This Reprint hasn't been activated yet and requires a large amount of energy to unleash its potential. Although Soul Power is low-level, it's still a form of energy. If the Reprint isn't picky about its food, as long as there's enough input of Soul Power, it should be able to activate. You could try infusing a large amount of Soul Power into it; if your own isn't sufficient, we can help you."
"Alright, I'll give it a try."
Wei Chen thought Ni Junlin's suggestion made some sense. Since he had nothing better to do anyway, trying it out wouldn't hurt.
Without hesitation, he began to channel his Soul Power into the Reprint. As the Soul Power flowed in, the color and transparency of the Reprint subtly began to change. This slight alteration was not enough for anyone else to notice, but due to the intricate mental connection established between the Reprint and Wei Chen, he could perceive the minute changes occurring within it.
This change was unrelated to strength; it was merely that the Jade of the Reprint had quietly improved a little, just a tiny bit. It seemed as if some impurities within the Jade had vanished, but to the naked eye, it was completely imperceptible.
Half an hour later, Wei Chen's Soul Power was nearly depleted, and he could no longer maintain his efforts. At this point, the transformation of the Reprint had become significant. Ni Junlin and Gu Yuehong could see with their own eyes that the Reprint was no longer what it had been; it had become much more translucent and radiant.
In desperate times, even a dead horse must be treated as a living one; this was their only option.
Ni Junlin took the Reprint from Wei Chen's hands and began to infuse it with her Soul Power. The Soul Power within Ni Junlin was exponentially stronger than Wei Chen's, and her infusion produced remarkable results. Within just a few breaths, the Reprint showed obvious changes, becoming even more crystal-clear, resembling a precious piece of soft jade.
Another half hour passed, and the Reprint transformed dramatically, lying quietly in Ni Junlin's hand like a shimmering jelly, exuding an exquisite beauty. Seeing this change in the Reprint, Wei Chen felt overjoyed and said, "Gu Yuehong, it's your turn now."
"No, no, no," Gu Yuehong quickly shook his head. He pointed at the Reprint and said, "Look at it; it seems as if it's filled with Soul Power now, sparkling beautifully. I feel like it's already saturated. If I continue to infuse more Soul Power, it might break."
"Stop hesitating and start already! How could such a magnificent artifact possibly break from being infused with this low-level Soul Power?" Ni Junlin shot Gu Yuehong a disdainful glance and directly shoved the Reprint into Gu Yuehong's hands.
Gu Yuehong looked at Wei Chen eagerly, waiting for his command.
This was Wei Chen's treasure; if he ruined it, he would surely face serious trouble. Ever since Donghua appeared, Gu Yuehong had learned his lesson and developed a greater sense of respect for Wei Chen.
This wasn't solely due to Donghua's overwhelming presence; it was also because of an earlier encounter with the Demon Lotus Emperor within Wei Chen's soul that had intensified the aura of Demon Lotus surrounding him. The Demon Lotus was known as the Ancestor of All Demons in Hua Xia World, commanding respect from all demon races; such reverence stemmed from deep within their souls.
Wei Chen hesitated for a moment and thought to himself: "Since this is one of those powerful Ancient Ten Divine Artifacts from Hua Xia World, it shouldn't explode just from being filled with low-level energy. If that were true, what kind of artifact would it be?"
With that thought in mind, Wei Chen nodded at Gu Yuehong and said, "Feel free to infuse energy; even if it explodes, it's not your fault. I won't blame you."
Upon receiving Wei Chen's reassurance, Gu Yuehong finally felt at ease and began to channel energy into the Reprint.
Gu Yuehong's energy was even more powerful than Ni Junlin's. After all, Gu Yuehong had spent some time in the Penglai Secret Realm, and his energy was not just Soul Power; it also contained a portion of dragon bloodline power and a hint of elemental energy. This made his energy even stronger.
This was reflected in the Reprint, which quickly became lush and vibrant, as if it had transformed into a giant droplet of water. The sensation was intense, and Wei Chen and Ni Junlin watched cautiously from the side, guarding the Reprint, that precious Treasure.
At this point, both Wei Chen and Ni Junlin were convinced that the Reprint was indeed a Treasure, a remarkable one at that. The ability to absorb and store such a vast amount of Soul Power was already impressive. A typical Tenth-Grade Soul Artifact from the Soul World would never be able to absorb and store so much Soul Power.
Wei Chen and Ni Junlin exchanged glances, and they could see surprise and anticipation reflected in each other's eyes.
Gu Yuehong truly lived up to being one of the strongest existences in this world. Waves of Soul Power surged into the Reprint endlessly, like a great river flowing tumultuously after a heavy rain. Gu Yuehong's Soul Power poured into the Reprint in massive quantities, causing changes that left Wei Chen and Ni Junlin in awe.
Initially, the Reprint resembled a droplet of water; however, as more Soul Power flowed in, that droplet sensation gradually faded away, transforming into a feeling akin to ice. With further infusion of Soul Power, the Reprint changed again, the ice solidifying into Jade, completing a cycle.
After that, the Reprint refused to accept any more of Gu Yuehong's Soul Power. Gu Yuehong himself was sweating profusely as he said, "I now feel an immense resistance; it seems the Reprint won't accept my Soul Power anymore. What should we do?"
"What else can we do?" Wei Chen rolled his eyes and took the Reprint from Gu Yuehong's hands. The moment he touched it, he felt an overwhelming explosive force.
"Did you all feel that? I sense that if this Reprint explodes, everything within ten miles will be reduced to ruins," Wei Chen exclaimed in astonishment.
"Is this how the Reprint is meant to be used?" Ni Junlin asked incredulously.
Gu Yuehong replied, "It's very likely. If we just throw this thing away now, it could flatten an area; its power is absolutely formidable!"
Wei Chen stared at the Reprint and thought to himself, "Could this really be its primary use? To serve as a bomb for attacking enemies? If I control the Reprint to get close to an enemy and detonate its energy, it could wipe out a whole area like a Thunderstorm-level expert!"
