"Sure, I guess. You can go ahead." Wei Chen was dying to know but knew he couldn't show too much eagerness in this situation. He needed to maintain a certain level of composure to secure his position in the upcoming negotiation.

The Demon Lotus Emperor had come to discuss matters with Wei Chen.

The Demon Lotus Emperor pouted and said, "Child, even as a weak Soul Body, if I wanted to kill you, it would only take a single thought. With that, the Demon Lotus Emperor beckoned to a nearby Eighth-Rank Monster, which crawled over trembling and lay down at his feet.

"What you've done is rather cruel," Wei Chen said, unable to bear looking at the dead beast. His mood darkened.

Wei Chen couldn't believe the Demon Lotus Emperor's words but managed to suppress his anger and asked, "Why?"
