The powerful aura of Mental Strength made Wei Chen, Demon Lotus Emperor, and Red Boy feel a bit uncomfortable.
Although they did not know what intentions were contained within that Mental Strength, its overwhelming presence made their hair stand on end and sent chills down their spines.
Wei Chen, Demon Lotus Emperor, and Red Boy all wore serious expressions. Such a strong Mental Strength left them feeling frightened.
"Wei Chenzi, are you afraid? That Mental Strength is stronger than the three of us combined! It’s very likely that it belongs to the Soul Beast Mountain Ruler!" Demon Lotus Emperor said to Wei Chen.
Wei Chen replied gravely, "It's too powerful. Even if we combine our strengths, we might not be able to match it."
"This massive Soul Beast Mountain exceeds my understanding. The ruler within it must possess at least the strength of Thirty-Six Levels of Mental Strength, possibly even beyond that! Your grandfather may be at Thirty-Six Levels in Warrior Realm, but his Mental Strength is only around Fifteen Levels. Among us three, my Mental Strength is the strongest at Fourteen Levels, Red Boy is about Thirty-Three Levels, and you are basically at Thirty-Two Levels. It's only logical that we can't defeat that Soul Beast King," Demon Lotus Emperor explained.
Red Boy snorted coldly and said, "Not necessarily! Don’t forget, we have Reprint! Reprint grows stronger against strong opponents, and it can suppress the Soul Beast as well. That Soul Beast King will likely have its Mental Strength reduced by half."
Upon hearing this, Wei Chen asked excitedly, "Red Boy, do you have confidence?"
"No," Red Boy shook his head decisively. What kind of confidence could he have? It was still uncertain how much power Reprint could unleash; where would his so-called confidence come from?
Hearing this, Wei Chen looked at Red Boy speechlessly. It sounded good when he spoke so boldly, but he didn’t even have basic confidence—how could he speak so grandly?
Demon Lotus Emperor said calmly, "Let’s not panic. Let’s wait and see what the Soul Beast King intends to do. It has sent a message to the other Soul Beasts; there will surely be a response soon."
Wei Chen nodded slightly. Given the current situation, they had no choice but to wait. Although all three were bold and skilled, often being brave was of little use. The Mental Strength signal emitted by the Soul Beast King was far too strong; if they went up to the mountain peak now, it would be a reckless act leading to their demise.
Red Boy scoffed, "Where has your courage gone? Although the Soul Beast King is formidable, if we three unite as one, how could we fear it?"
Red Boy had a fearless and competitive nature that both Wei Chen and Demon Lotus Emperor admired. However, his youthful mindset made him naive about the world; he lacked discretion and needed time to mature. Once he grew up a bit more, his personality would become a great asset. For now, though, he still had much to learn.
"Red Boy, you’re thinking too simply. If it were just the Soul Beast King alone, we could handle it without much trouble. But how many thirty-four or thirty-five level Soul Beasts are there around it? If we go up there, aren’t we just seeking death? Moreover, we've been in Soul Beast Mountain for quite some time now; the Soul Beast King must know of our existence by now. The fact that it hasn’t sent powerful Soul Beasts to deal with us shows it doesn’t regard us as a threat."
Pausing for a moment, Wei Chen looked at Red Boy and continued, "Do you think that the earlier Mental Strength signal means the Soul Beast King doesn’t care about us because it's overconfident or because its strength is so great that it feels no need to worry?"
Hearing Wei Chen's words, Red Boy pouted, reluctantly saying, "Maybe it's just that they're really strong and fearless."
"Then what's the point? If we charge in now, we're definitely asking for death," Wei Chen replied.
Red Boy countered, "But we can't just sit here passively waiting. Taking the initiative is always more exhilarating than being reactive."
"You may find it exhilarating, but if you rush in without understanding the opponent's strength, one swift strike could mean your head rolls away," Demon Lotus Emperor scoffed at Red Boy, thinking how much he resembled himself in his youth, filled with violent thoughts. However, Demon Lotus Emperor knew that relying solely on reckless enthusiasm wouldn't work; he had learned this lesson the hard way when he was younger.
He regarded Red Boy as a younger brother and didn't want to see him take the wrong path, which was why he felt compelled to advise him. If it were anyone else, Demon Lotus Emperor would have been too lazy to say a word.
Red Boy was ungrateful and stubbornly replied, "No matter how powerful that Soul Beast King is, it can't kill me in one blow. I am a Soul Body born from the Red Demon Armor. As long as the Red Demon Armor isn't completely shattered, I won't die. Even if I'm severely injured, it's impossible. This is the advantage of our weapon-type souls; no one else can compare."
Upon hearing this, both Wei Chen and Demon Lotus Emperor found it intriguing—was there really such a method?
"Red Boy, are you sure that as long as the Red Demon Armor isn't broken, you'll be fine?"
"Of course! I am one with the Red Demon Armor. If I don't perish, the Red Demon Armor won't break. If the Red Demon Armor remains intact, I won't be destroyed."
"What if you're hit by a powerful Mental Attack? What would happen then?"
Wei Chen secretly worried; what if those attacks were transferred onto him? He couldn't withstand that.
Red Boy replied, "There wouldn't be any reaction. If I can't resist it, the attack will be directed at the Red Demon Armor instead, which will help me withstand it. That won't affect you at all; it will only impact the integrity of the Red Demon Armor. However, if faced with an overwhelmingly powerful attack that cannot be resisted, the Red Demon Armor would also suffer significant damage."
Hearing Red Boy's explanation left Wei Chen feeling helpless—wasn't that just asking for trouble?
"Don't worry about the damage to the Red Demon Armor," Red Boy reassured him. "As long as it isn't shattered in one attack, the Red Demon Armor can quickly draw energy from its surroundings to repair any damage sustained. It will restore itself rapidly. Red Boy looked earnestly at Wei Chen; every word he spoke was sincere and not exaggerated.
Wei Chen and the Demon Lotus Emperor exchanged glances, silently communicating, "Demon Lotus Emperor, what do you think of Red Boy?"
"There's some truth to that. He is connected to the Red Demon Armor, surpassing the Thirty-Six Levels of treasure. It's quite normal for him to have this level of ability."
"Then does that mean he can really contend with the Soul Beast King from the Soul Beast Summit?"
"It's difficult. Maybe he can, maybe he can't. That Mental Strength we just felt was incredibly strong, far beyond what we can currently withstand. Even with the Red Demon Armor's support, Red Boy would struggle to match the Soul Beast King."
The Demon Lotus Emperor continued, "Red Boy is still too young and impulsive. I was like that when I was younger as well. Perhaps Red Boy isn't even impulsive; he's just inexperienced and overly bold. Without facing some setbacks, he won't understand."
"So you mean we should let him try?" Wei Chen asked telepathically.
The Demon Lotus Emperor pondered for a moment and replied, "It's worth a shot. We'll protect him from the sidelines, and if there's any danger, we'll withdraw immediately. With Reprint in hand, we can take this risk; that's our assurance. If we don't have Reprint, then there's no point in trying—it would likely lead to death."
Upon hearing this, Wei Chen nodded and looked at Red Boy, saying lightly, "Red Boy, are you sure you want to go up there and throw your life away? We won't stop you."
"Throw my life away? Ha! You really underestimate me! While I can't guarantee I'll defeat that Soul Beast King, I know my limits and absolutely won't die in vain. That Mental Strength may be strong, but it's not invincible. If I didn't have some confidence, would I even consider this?"
Hearing this, both Wei Chen and the Demon Lotus Emperor furrowed their brows. Could it be that Red Boy had some hidden trump card? His confident demeanor suggested he might indeed have something up his sleeve!
"Red Boy, we don't want you to take unnecessary risks unless you give us a reason or provide me with something that convinces me you can handle the Soul Beast King. What is your trump card? What do you rely on?" Wei Chen looked at Red Boy with a serious expression.
After a moment of silence, Red Boy gazed deeply at Wei Chen and the Demon Lotus Emperor before saying, "I have a powerful weapon that can deal with the Soul Beast King."
"What is it? Speak plainly; time is short," Wei Chen replied calmly.
Red Boy opened his palm towards Wei Chen and said, "Give me Reprint, and you'll find out."
Wei Chen tossed Reprint into Red Boy's hands. After examining it for a moment, Red Boy smirked coldly and said, "This Reprint has its soul consciousness sealed away, but it still possesses its abilities. You’ve experienced it before; you can channel energy into Reprint for a concentrated explosion—its destructive power is terrifying. Moreover, Mental Strength can also be condensed within Reprint."
"During the time you were away, I didn't absorb any Soul Beasts or Mental Strength. Instead, I concentrated all of it into this Reprint. The Mental Strength can explode all at once, capable of killing millions of Soul Beasts. That Soul Beast King, no matter how powerful it is, can it withstand the might released by the Reprint? Even if it can't be killed in one blow, it will definitely be severely injured."
Red Boy gazed obsessively at the Reprint, confident that using the strongest artifact from the Ancient World against the Soul Beasts of the Demon Realm would hit its mark every time.
If even the Reprint couldn't deal with that Soul Beast King, then there would be no hope left.
After hearing Red Boy's explanation, Wei Chen and Demon Lotus Emperor finally understood. So that's how it was! It seemed Red Boy had calculated everything; he must have anticipated encountering the Soul Beast King and had been secretly accumulating Mental Strength all along. With the Reprint in hand, they truly had nothing to fear from that Soul Beast King anymore.
"Demon Lotus Emperor, see? Red Boy isn't just acting recklessly; he has his own plans," Wei Chen communicated.
Demon Lotus Emperor replied, "Yes, I misjudged him. I thought he was just a reckless person, but at such a young age, his thoughts are so profound. His future is limitless!"
Both Wei Chen and Demon Lotus Emperor conceded; they felt inferior to Red Boy's foresight and planning.
"So, shall we continue upward?" Red Boy asked, both in inquiry and urging; he was already eager to proceed.
Wei Chen and Demon Lotus Emperor exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. If they didn't go up to witness the strongest Soul Body of the Demon Realm, it would be a disservice to themselves.
Without further hesitation, the three of them sprinted towards the summit.
The Reprint was tightly gripped in Red Boy's hand.
