As Wei Chen probed into that silver energy within the Dark Mage, he felt a certain oppressive force against his Divine Power, as if that energy had a conflicting sensation towards his Divine Power.
Typically, when ordinary forces encountered Divine Power, they would shrink back and dare not challenge its brilliance.
The energy within the Dark Mage collided with Wei Chen's Divine Power, unleashing a powerful aura.
To Wei Chen, it felt like a warning.
It conveyed a clear message: Stay away from me. If you come any closer, I will take action against you!
Under that warning, Wei Chen dared not probe further.
After all, the silver energy resided within the Dark Mage. He couldn't afford to act recklessly; if his Divine Power clashed with that silver energy inside the Dark Mage, it would not end well. The one who would get hurt would only be the Dark Mage.
For Wei Chen, that bit of silver energy, while somewhat strange, was insignificant compared to his immense Divine Power. His only concern was for his grandfather, the Dark Mage's well-being.
Wei Chen frowned inwardly and thought, "The energy within my grandfather is quite peculiar; it seems completely unbothered by my Divine Power. It doesn't fear me at all. This energy must be on par with Divine Power. But it clearly isn't Divine Power; it's an entirely different type of energy... Could there be another kind of energy that rivals Divine Power?"
Wei Chen looked seriously at the Dark Mage and said, "Grandfather, how did you cultivate this? You need to tell me so I can help you. If you continue to rush into seclusion like this, it could lead to problems."
The Dark Mage smiled lightly and replied, "My cultivation method has always been somewhat unique. Let me explain: when I was just born over eight thousand years ago, my cultivation approach or system consisted of two types."

"The book on Stellar Technique does not specify what realm that is. But regardless, it's a good thing; my strength can easily crush those at the peak of Martial Emperor."

The Dark Mage exclaimed, excitedly spreading his hands as a sphere of silver Stellar Power floated in his palm.
Wei Chen understood and extended his hand, summoning a sphere of Divine Power.
The grandfather and grandson duo tossed their energy spheres into the air, where the two distinctly different yet equally powerful energies collided in the void.
The two spheres of energy were evenly matched, entangled with each other, neither able to gain the upper hand.
Wei Chen and the Dark Mage watched nervously as the two spheres intertwined, gradually realizing with surprise that they were actually merging together!
Merging!
Divine Power and Stellar Power could actually merge?
Wei Chen and the Dark Mage were overjoyed; this meant Wei Chen could cultivate the so-called Stellar Technique!
"Child, did you see? My Stellar Power is not weaker than your Divine Power! This energy is drawn directly from the stars, and its quantity is immense. With effort, countless amounts can be gathered! I've been trying to cultivate it but have hesitated to draw large amounts of Stellar Power. Once I break through, we'll see how it goes. The Dark Mage was correct; the Starry Sect was originally the oldest and most powerful Cloud Spirit Sect within the Nine Immortal Realm. However, over time, it took an elitist approach to cultivation, and those capable of practicing the Stellar Technique became increasingly rare.
