Wei Chen completely failed to understand what Killing God Senior meant by saying that if others couldn't do it, he definitely could.
"Killing God Senior, you overestimate my abilities. With my current physique, even if I exposed Stellar Power, I wouldn't be able to dive to the bottom of Azure Green Pool," Wei Chen said. He was well aware of his limitations; diving to such unfathomable depths was simply impossible. He wanted to make this clear to avoid putting Killing God Senior in a difficult position.
Killing God Senior let out a cold laugh and said, "Child, do you think the energy you're absorbing now is just anything? That is Green Energy. In the high-level Spatial Dimension System where Bloodshed Shop is located, Green Energy is a valuable resource. If you've absorbed Green Energy, why fear a little water pressure? Besides, even if you are only a Third-Level Deity, you shouldn't be bothered by such trivial water pressure."
"But the water pressure here is not ordinary; in regular deep seas, no matter how deep it gets, it's fine," Wei Chen countered.
Killing God Senior scoffed, "This place is known as the Death Zone within the Endless Divine Realm. Do you think it got that name for no reason? It's precisely because of the presence of Green Energy that the water pressure here is so abnormal. As long as you're not disturbed by Green Energy, why should you care about that little water pressure?"
"Senior, are you saying that I won't be affected by Green Energy anymore?" Wei Chen felt a surge of excitement. If that were true, he would definitely want to dive down to see what lay at the bottom since no one had ever accomplished that feat in the Endless Divine Realm. No one knew what treasures awaited at the bottom of Azure Green Pool, and Wei Chen longed to be the first person to explore it. However, he knew his abilities were limited and had no confidence in his chances before.
In truth, even when Wei Chen felt utterly lacking in confidence, he never considered giving up. The path was something one walked step by step; one couldn't become fat in a single breath. Accumulation over time would eventually lead to success.
Wei Chen was never one to indulge in unrealistic fantasies. He understood deeply that a man could only rely on himself during critical moments—his own hands, his own efforts, and his own struggles were what mattered. It was impossible to achieve great heights overnight or in just a month or year.
Wei Chen had never been so impractical.
Often, he aimed for the lowest goals; that way, it wouldn't be too exhausting, right? If one flew without knowing their limits, they might fall hard. Many times, men should walk steadily towards their established goals rather than fantasizing about achieving godhood overnight. In this regard, Wei Chen had done well enough. Most importantly, he worked hard and had good luck; his luck had always been decent, which allowed him to reach such a high position at his age.
Effort was crucial, but luck was also indispensable. However good one's luck might be, without effort it would all be in vain.
The road to success was inevitably filled with thorns and obstacles and would attract scorn from many. If one could endure it, they were close to success; if not, success would be out of reach. Some people are all talk and no action; how could they succeed? Others may seem unremarkable but their silent efforts will never go unrewarded.
This is the true path to success.
Wei Chen walked steadily on the road to success; his steps were firm and combined with good fortune led him to his current formidable strength.
The Green Energy within Azure Green Pool was a tremendous opportunity he had recently encountered. While he himself was unaware of its significance, Killing God Senior understood just how powerful Green Energy could be.
Wei Chen looked eagerly at Killing God Senior. Could it really be true that absorbing some so-called Green Energy would protect him from the pressure within Azure Green Pool? He felt an increasing pressure on him now.
Killing God Senior replied with exasperation: "Child, can't you sense it yourself? As you absorb Green Energy into your Dantian, you're becoming more attuned within this so-called Azure Green Pool. The pressure on you should have diminished by now. The pressure here originates from Green Energy itself; if you can absorb Green Energy, where would the pressure come from?"
Killing God Senior frowned slightly; how could this child have such good luck? Even in the Spatial Plane where Bloodshed Shop was located, encountering something like Green Energy was rare! Moreover, even if one did encounter it, how could they absorb it so easily?
"This kid has incredible luck. The Green Energy here inexplicably likes him and is drilling into his body. It's simply a miracle! I can't understand it at all. When did Green Energy become so adorable?"
Killing God Senior recalled the time he was in the high-level Spatial Plane of Bloodshed Shop, when he first tried to absorb Green Energy. It took a lot of effort, and the results were not very good. Yet Wei Chen, without any effort, had Green Energy willingly flowing into him.
In such a situation, even someone as experienced as Killing God Senior could not explain what was happening or how it was possible.
Wei Chen chuckled, "Senior, the pressure from my aura is indeed gone. I just want to know what benefits this so-called Green Energy can bring me."
"The benefits are obvious, but right now you cannot fully utilize Green Energy. It can strengthen your body, enhance your sensitivity to energy, and increase your Mental Strength. In short, the effects of Green Energy are limitless and comprehensive," Killing God Senior replied calmly.
Wei Chen asked excitedly, "Senior, can you absorb the Green Energy here?"
"If I had a body, all this Green Energy would be mine; you wouldn't get a single hair from it," Killing God Senior scoffed.
His implication was clear: without a body, he was powerless. If he had one, there would be no chance for Wei Chen to absorb any Green Energy.
Hearing Killing God Senior's slightly jealous words made Wei Chen feel wonderful. Indeed, Killing God Senior had no body and could only watch the Green Energy with longing. Although in Killing God Senior's words, Green Energy seemed less precious, Wei Chen could clearly sense its immense value. Even in the high-level Spatial Plane where Killing God Senior had been before, Green Energy was still a rare treasure that could only be effectively utilized by those above the Tenth Level Deity realm.
With this understanding, Wei Chen's acceptance of Green Energy increased even more.
As his mindset relaxed, the Green Energy in the Azure Green Pool flowed more rapidly into his body, making him feel warm and comfortable in his Dantian.
"I wonder if this Green Energy will stop accumulating in my Dantian because of insufficient capacity?" Wei Chen asked Killing God Senior.
Killing God Senior explained, "Don't worry; Green Energy is extremely precious. Once it appears, it will be crazily absorbed cleanly without needing to worry about your Dantian's capacity being insufficient. Your Dantian's capacity is already quite good; you will absorb all the Green Energy in the Azure Green Pool without leaving a trace behind. No matter how much Green Energy there is, it will only occupy a small portion of your Dantian's base; you don't need to worry about it being filled up."
Upon hearing this, Wei Chen felt relieved. The Green Energy in the Azure Green Pool continued to flow into his Dantian. He slowly realized that although the amount of Green Energy seemed vast, once gathered in his Dantian, it only amounted to a palm-sized area with high concentration that didn't occupy much space at all. This allowed Wei Chen to absorb the Green Energy with peace of mind and without any concerns.
Seeing that Wei Chen had no further questions for him, Killing God Senior instructed him to slowly descend and absorb all the Green Energy cleanly. Once he reached the bottom of the Azure Green Pool, he could call him out.
Wei Chen continued to descend with Yue Songyang, Deputy Hall Master, but at a much slower pace. Wei Chen slowed down to absorb the Green Energy while Yue Songyang perceived it as a sign that Wei Chen's abilities were insufficient and that he was being suppressed by the pressure within the Azure Green Pool.
When they reached a depth of over thirty miles, Yue Songyang voluntarily stopped and transmitted a message to Wei Chen: "Wei Chen, do you have any issues? Can you continue descending? In my opinion, at this depth it's already sufficient. Your Cosmic Shift Formation set up here would be hard to detect unless a supreme God-Level figure appears."
Hearing Yue Songyang's words made Wei Chen chuckle inwardly; this fellow truly knew nothing. It seemed that the pressure from the Green Energy still affected him significantly and hadn't decreased much; otherwise, Yue Songyang would have sensed it by now.
"Wei Chen smiled and said, 'Vice Master, I have gradually gotten used to the pressure here. This little bit of pressure is nothing to me now. I'm just worried about you. Can you hold on?'"
"Yue Songyang, Deputy Hall Master, nodded and communicated telepathically, 'I can dive down to a depth of seventy or eighty miles, but any deeper than that would be impossible.'"
'That's good. Let's continue,' Wei Chen replied calmly.
"Yue Songyang said, 'Wei Chen, don't push yourself too hard. You need to understand that for our Temple of Martial Arts, your Formation Assignment and skills are the most important. As long as we can ensure your safety, even if we gain nothing from this Eastern Forest Contest, we will accept it.'"
'Vice Master, don't worry. I won't overexert myself or take unnecessary risks. I'm in great shape right now, so let's not waste time here,' Wei Chen said as he took the lead in diving down. Yue Songyang had no choice but to follow.
"In fact, at a depth of thirty miles, Yue Songyang felt no pressure at all; his strength was formidable, and the Azure Green Pool's thirty-mile depth posed no challenge for him."
"But Yue Songyang couldn't understand how Wei Chen, who had seemed on the verge of collapse at first, could adapt to the oppressive force of the Azure Green Pool so quickly. It appeared that Wei Chen was becoming increasingly comfortable with the pressure."
'This kid is truly an enigma; he's simply extraordinary! The deeper we go, the more excited he becomes. Is he thriving under this pressure?' Yue Songyang thought to himself.
"As time passed, Yue Songyang's speculation became reality. He noticed that Wei Chen's aura had become more stable; they had reached a depth of fifty miles, yet Wei Chen showed no signs of panic or inability to withstand the oppressive force. Instead, his calm demeanor was unsettling."
"Is his adaptability really that strong?"
Yue Songyang was already bewildered.
