The surrounding waters had turned crimson with blood, a dark red murky liquid rising and falling with the undercurrents, releasing waves of pungent iron scent.
Having just crushed a member of the Demon Hunting Team's skull underfoot, Fang Lin Kong swiftly dispatched another elderly priest who charged at him. Unbeknownst to him, a few monsters he had slain began to gather around him, having been rescued from peril.

For Rihougen, both Omiko and Rikudai were his seniors. Competing for merit against them was not considered polite.
In that brief moment of hesitation from Rihougen, Omiko and Rikudai had already engaged Fang Lin Kong in battle.
Their combat prowess was worlds apart from that of lower-ranking members. Both Omiko and Rikudai possessed profound cultivation levels; their Holy Power radiated an overwhelming energy far surpassing that of ordinary Demon Hunting Team members. Each had spiritual energy exceeding twenty thousand, and their combat skills were not comparable to those wielded by Ghost Path warriors or Spirit Demon Shikigami practitioners.
The Enforcement Council's primary role was to cleanse fallen members from the Demon Hunting Team. Any member violating team regulations would be hunted down by Enforcers dispatched by the Enforcement Council. Thus, members of the Enforcement Council were once carefully selected as elite warriors from among the six knight orders.
However, in modern society where human rights were increasingly emphasized, many members of the Demon Hunting Team expressed dissatisfaction with the Enforcement Council's rigidity and conservatism. Strict limitations on marriage and relationships along with resistance against technological advancements led to growing dissent within the team regarding outdated practices such as cruel punishments. The internal reforms initiated by the Demon Hunter Leader reduced Enforcement Council membership to just one-fourth its original size; resources for selecting new members were limited solely to Blood Cross Knights. Although enforcement intensity remained unchanged, manpower shortages and declining Enforcer capabilities diminished the Enforcement Council's influence significantly; it had become primarily focused on handling serious offenders while being unable to intervene in most cases involving minor infractions like underage relationships or family ties with heretics.
Omiko and Rikudai were both senior Enforcers from the Enforcement Council; their combat strength was comparable to core officers or vice leaders within typical knight orders or subordinate team leaders.
In Fang Lin Kong's eyes, the shapes of the objects around him had long since blurred into a single mass—a mass of life flames. Whether strong or weak, he could sense where the energy waned. Omiko appeared beside him a moment earlier than Rikudai, and in a fraction of a second, Fang Lin Kong deduced that his current strength was insufficient to defeat this opponent. Arlen Xuding Si gasped in shock and hurriedly used teleportation to escape from his original position; only then did he feel Platinum Glory's operation return to normal.
"Liexiezi can actually manipulate Sword Formation and sever my source of power! Truly terrifying techniques!"

The various methods of golden elixirs and inner elixirs in Eastern Immortal Path follow this route. The Daoist Inner Universe and Western dimensional spaces are both examples of this cultivation approach.
These two paths apply equally to those in Divine Extremity. Liexiezi had adopted both methods. Upon ascending to the rank of Celestial Demon, his entire body was composed of highly concentrated demonic energy, stronger than any inner elixir.
The dimensional space Arlen Xuding Si used to store his Holy Power did not have its access point located within his body; this was what puzzled Liexiezi.
