I spent a sleepless night writing the military training plan. The unit was in a state of unrest, and I knew many others were also struggling to sleep, though whether it was from excitement or frustration, I couldn't say. 0

The next morning, I woke up with red eyes. After breakfast, fifty—no, fifty-one—warriors had already packed their bags and were chatting in their respective barracks, anxiously waiting for the assembly whistle. 0

I chuckled. They were usually not this enthusiastic during training. After a call with Vehicle One, at seven fifty, two trucks stopped at the unit's entrance. 0

I had Xuanhua blow the assembly whistle. Under the envious gazes of the other warriors, these eleven individuals quickly gathered in their summer uniforms with their backpacks. 0

"Everyone, get your spirits up! From the moment we step out of the camp, you represent the image of the Base on a larger scale and our Sharp Blade Company on a smaller scale. No more talking—everyone, get on the vehicles!" 0

The warriors boarded the trucks with surprising speed; within three minutes, they were all inside. I opened the front door of the first truck and sat down. 0

Just as I was about to tell the driver to start, I heard a cacophony of sounds outside. Startled by a sudden banging on the window, I looked out to see Pudding. That little guy had truly become something else; now he could sense a mission just by seeing a truck. 0

"Divine Bird," I sighed, rolling down the window to let Pudding in. As usual, he hopped onto the driver's stage, his dark eyes fixed on me. Then he spun around a few times, flapped his wings, wrapped his body up, and calmly tucked his head into his feathers to sleep. 0

The driver chuckled softly beside me. I shot him an exasperated glance. "Drive." 0

I recalled how our allies referred to us during military exercises: Crow Unit. 0

Alright, no more reminiscing. 0

As soon as the truck left the camp and turned onto the expressway, it picked up speed immediately. The driver was Old Sergeant; he was quick on the gas. As soon as I mentioned National Taiwan Normal University, he knew exactly where it was. 0

"Company Commander, your company is really lucky to always get these kinds of good assignments." 0

I smiled helplessly. "So, in your eyes, we only get to enjoy the good things." 0

"Exactly! Look at you all. Earlier this year, you went to the TV station to set up the backdrop, watched the live broadcast, and then went out for military exercises. Suddenly, you earned a Third-Class Merit. Now you're off to train college students. Tsk tsk. Hey, Company Commander, can I transfer to your unit?" 0

"Sure, but you'll have to drop a rank; I only need a First Sergeant here, and there's no position for you." I shot him a glance. It's a joke in this world that good things come with consequences. Didn't he see how hard everyone trained before enjoying the results? 0

The driver chuckled reluctantly and fell silent, focusing on the road. 0

I leaned back and squinted my eyes, recalling my plan: my idea was quite simple. Having trained new recruits before, I thought military training was just a simplified version of a Recruit Training Camp—yes, simplified, with both standards and content scaled down. 0

This way, all participating freshmen could be grouped into one Recruit Training Camp. National Taiwan Normal University must have many new students each year; I'm not sure if they belong to one college or not. If not, then each college could form its own Cadet unit; if there’s only one college, then different majors or classes could be organized into units. Each Unit would establish corresponding Instructors based on the number of participants, with each Instructor responsible for training one platoon—no more than twenty people would suffice. Within that group, several squads could be formed, and we could select relatively capable college students as squad leaders to make management much easier. 0

The first week would focus on Military Posture training and forming ranks; the second week would be dedicated to drill training; and the third week would cover shooting and grenade training—all smoothly wrapped up. 0

More importantly, I had also gone through Military Training myself. I knew what everyone needed, what they liked, what they could accept, and what they couldn't. I remembered when I underwent Military Training; it was conducted by personnel from the Armed Department rather than actual soldiers. Those were simpler times—so exciting! We trained rigorously for an entire month until both boys and girls were tanned and thin. I still recall after finishing Military Training, I glanced at the girls' squad and casually told my roommate: "For a bottle of mineral water, I'll sell you all my chances of pursuing them during college—I'll never touch them." The result? I was laughed at for five years. Perhaps it was just youthful arrogance; thankfully, I came out unscathed. 0

As for me? Heh heh, in this way, it felt like I had crowned myself as Company Commander—a little satisfaction for my vanity. Thinking about Company Commander, Commander, and even Division Commander made it seem like becoming a general wasn't too far-fetched. 0

Lost in these thoughts, I couldn't help but chuckle softly, drawing glances from both the driver and Pudding. I quickly cleared my throat to mask my embarrassment. 0

The car soon arrived at National Taiwan Normal University. I instructed the driver to stop at the school gate and took out my phone to call my contact about where to disembark. Just as the call connected, I suddenly heard singing coming from behind the truck. 0

"What the hell! Who let them sing? Learning from Lei Feng as a good example?" Two people in the truck were belting out songs loudly enough to attract attention from everyone entering or exiting the campus. 0

I didn't have time to stop them; instead, I covered one ear and shouted desperately, "Hello! This is Company Commander Wang! We've arrived—where are we supposed to go? Can you repeat that? Okay, got it! Drive straight in through the gate, then right past the Playground to the Student Dormitory. Thank you!" 0

I hung up the phone and turned around to vigorously pat the glass partition behind me. Soon, someone pulled the partition open. "What are you all so excited about? Do you believe I can make you get off and run five kilometers?" 0

The soldier stuck out his tongue, shrank back, and shouted a few words. The singing from the back immediately stopped, and within seconds, the singing from another truck ceased as well. 0

I couldn't quite understand why. 0

The vehicle slowed down and entered National Taiwan Normal University. Following the contact's instructions, we drove at a low speed to a building in front of a Student Dormitory, where a person wearing glasses was already waiting. 0

I instructed the driver to stop and turned back to say, "You all wait here." After saying that, I pushed open the car door and jumped out. "Hello, are you Company Commander Wang?" The person with glasses came forward to shake hands. 0

I first gave a salute before extending my hand. "Hello, I am Company Commander Wang. You must be Deputy Director Lu, in charge of logistics for the school. I'm here to handle your support work." 0

"Ah, yes, thank you. How does your school plan to arrange things?" 0

"Well, for convenience's sake, we plan to free up some rooms on the first floor of the Freshman Male Student Dormitory for you to stay temporarily. As for meals, you'll eat at our Faculty Canteen—ten people per table, so for fifty people, we'll set up five tables. The meal standard will be calculated at fifteen dollars per person per day; how does that sound?" 0

"That's fine; you can decide," I said while looking around. I generally didn't care much about these details, and I believed the soldiers wouldn't mind either. After all, this environment was certainly better than in the barracks. Just look around—lush green trees everywhere, buildings faintly visible among the foliage. Not to mention the fragrance of flowers and chirping birds; it truly had a serene atmosphere that matched my imagination of a university. 0

"Alright then, this morning you can lead your team to clean up the rooms and settle in. When it's time for meals, I'll take you to the canteen to show you the way. For this period of time, you'll be living here. You have my number; I'm staying at the school. If there are any issues, just find me—I'm specifically responsible for your support work." The Deputy Director was quite polite and considerate; after all, being able to reach such a position in logistics required some capability. 0

"Okay, thank you for your help." 0

"Not at all; we should be the ones thanking you! Haha." 0

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, the director mentioned he would go arrange the menu at the canteen. I bid him farewell and immediately blew my whistle: "Get off and assemble!" 0

Bang! Bang! Bang! As the rear gate was lowered, the soldiers eagerly jumped down one by one, forming a line while curiously surveying their surroundings. I could see curiosity and longing in their eyes. Most of them had come straight to the army after taking the college entrance examination, and instinctively, they wanted to know what university life was like. Fortunately, it was class time, and there didn't seem to be many people around. With such a large group standing here, it went unnoticed. The Student Dormitory was quite peaceful; the freshmen must have gone to a meeting. 0

I didn’t correct them; it was rare for them to be out like this, so I decided to relax the management a bit. Once everyone lined up, I quickly organized them for a brief rest before leading a few non-commissioned officers into the first-floor apartment to check the rooms. 0

This was a three-door apartment with a main entrance in the middle and side doors on either side. Each side had ten rooms, with odd-numbered rooms on the left and even-numbered rooms on the right, separated by stairs. We were assigned half of the first floor: rooms 101, 105, 102, and 110. 0

The rooms were decent; each had a fan and three bunk beds, accommodating six people. As soon as you entered, there were six storage lockers on one side. Half of the balcony served as a bathroom, which was relatively clean. With ten rooms available, we had more than enough space for everyone. 0

After taking a quick look around, I unceremoniously claimed room 101. Of course, Sheng Xiong would stay with me as the Communicator, while the other fifty soldiers would be distributed among the remaining nine rooms. 0

Once outside, I assigned Xuanhua and Wu Chao to organize the move-in process and asked them to discuss creating Internal Standards that all soldiers would follow once they settled in. After giving my instructions, the soldiers began to enter the apartment building in an orderly fashion to move into their respective rooms. 0

I asked Sheng Xiong to take my bag inside first. Standing outside, I started thinking about today’s arrangements. 0

Suddenly, a voice called out from behind me: “Hey, Brother Wang, what are you doing here?” 0

To be continued; tomorrow will be even more exciting. 0
