The school doctor hadn't given her the glucose yet, but she woke up slowly on her own. 0

"Where am I?" she said groggily as she regained consciousness. 0

"You're in the Health Center. What happened to you just now?" her counselor asked urgently. 0

"I don't know," Fu Yuehua replied, looking bewildered. "I just remember we were playing a game, and I lost, so I had to go down to the Old Building. I ran downstairs, but before I even entered the hallway, I felt really scared and turned back up. After that, I don't remember anything." 0

"You went to the Old Building?" The counselor's face changed color. 0

"Is there something wrong?" I noticed this detail from the side. 0

"No, nothing's wrong," the counselor stammered. "Um, Yuehua, since you're awake now, why don't you go back to your dorm and rest?" 0

Seeing that the counselor was reluctant to say more, I chimed in, "Alright then, you should head back quickly. If it’s too much, you can skip tomorrow's training." 0

"No, I want to participate," Fu Yuehua insisted firmly. She slowly stood up, moved her body a bit, and feeling no abnormalities, she headed outside. 0

We had no choice but to follow her out. Just as we stepped outside, we saw Xiaojing walking toward us. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked. 0

"I heard someone said a new student had an incident. I knew you'd come along, so I followed to see what happened," Xiaojing whispered. 0

"Nothing much," I glanced at Fu Yuehua. This ordinary girl seemed fine; perhaps it really was just an accident. 0

As everyone escorted Fu Yuehua back to the dormitory, the time pointed to ten-thirty. The campus, which had been bustling all day, gradually quieted down. Back in the dormitory below, the warriors had already turned off their lights to avoid disturbing Sheng Xiong. I quietly finished washing up and lay down in bed. 0

Thinking about the Military Training tasks ahead, I unknowingly fell asleep and then had a strange dream. 0

Suddenly, I found myself on a floor where everything was eerily quiet and dark. I shouted a few times but received no response. Only my footsteps echoed in the corridor. A cold breeze swept through, sending chills down my spine. I quickened my pace, trying to find the stairs down. To my surprise, the corridor seemed infinitely long; no matter how much I walked or ran, I only passed one closed door after another. It felt endless, and panic began to rise within me. Just when I felt lost and helpless, I suddenly spotted an open door nearby: Room 402. 0

I dashed inside like I'd found a lifeline but crashed into someone with a thud. As I was puzzled and looked up, my heart nearly stopped—standing before me was Fu Yuehua with blood streaming from her seven orifices. She stood there staring at me with wide eyes. 0

I let out a low gasp and suddenly sat up. 0

It turned out to be just a dream. I sighed in relief, looking around; dawn was approaching. I picked up my watch and saw it was exactly six-thirty, time to get up and wash up. 0

Ah, life in the military was so much better. With daily training, there was no time to overthink, and I hardly ever dreamed, let alone have nightmares. I must have been thinking too much these past few days to have such a dream, I reassured myself. 0

After washing up, blowing the whistle for assembly, running drills, organizing Internal Affairs, and having breakfast, we began another day of training. The schedule was the same as yesterday—standing Military Posture—but the students' spirits were noticeably better than before; they had indeed made progress. I thought to myself as I took a turn around the field and spotted Fu Yuehua's counselor. She was also wandering among our ranks, but upon scanning the area, I realized Fu Yuehua wasn't present. Could she really be sick? 0

During the morning break, I took the opportunity to ask. The counselor informed me that Fu Yuehua had woken up feeling ill that morning, claiming she felt cold all over and might have caught a cold. She had taken leave to rest in the dormitory. I thought to myself, after all, she is a girl; her body really isn't as resilient. 0

The second day of Military Training proceeded as usual. However, I noticed an interesting phenomenon: whenever the girls took a break, they loved to pull us soldiers into their conversations, laughing and chatting away. Whenever I tried to eavesdrop, they would fall silent no matter where I went; as soon as I walked away, they would resume their chatter. 0

I truly couldn't understand it. 0

Since her debut on the first day, Pudding had been wandering around freely. This little guy was quite clever; he knew Jinghe hadn't brought any food with her, so he went off in search of something to eat on his own. Thus, during breaks, there were groups of boys and girls forming circles with the squad leader sitting in the middle while I found myself wandering alone. 0

Three days passed like this. The standing Military Posture exercise concluded with everyone managing to hold it for forty-five minutes. To reinforce this achievement, I mandated that from now on we would stand in Military Posture for half an hour before each training session. 0

On the fourth day, we began stationary movements—turning around, squatting down and standing up again, straddling stances, and so forth. It wasn't too difficult and allowed for more activity; the Cadets felt much more relaxed. I noticed that the distance between the soldiers and students was closing; some bold girls even asked us soldiers for contact information. Thankfully, I had prepared for this; during the confidentiality period, I required all soldiers to only provide their unit's numerical contact information and strictly prohibited sharing any other means of contact. 0

To be honest, through my observations over these past few days, most instructors likely felt quite nervous when meeting the freshmen on the first day; it was inevitable given the circumstances. However, everyone managed to complete this process calmly. Standing before their neatly arranged squads must have brought them immense joy that was hard to express. 0

These soldiers usually played around but transformed completely once they became instructors; they were serious about their roles. Although some adapted quickly while others took longer to catch on, everyone was actively exploring and gradually progressing. The biggest transformation from being trained to teaching others is perhaps this: previously they received information and knowledge from others; now they faced the challenge of presenting their own knowledge to others. While these soldiers were exceptional individuals, they were now dealing with a group of Freshmen who were not much younger than them. Learning how to effectively engage with them and understand their characteristics could only come through experience; this would undoubtedly be a significant asset for them. 0

For instance, during our training sessions, we encountered many issues we had never faced or dealt with before: some individuals were careless and didn't take training seriously; others lacked coordination and kept making mistakes; some worked hard but saw no results; when training hit a bottleneck, everyone's motivation waned and effectiveness dropped. I'm sure all Military Training instructors have faced such awkward situations at one point or another; everyone has their own solutions which may lead to disparities between classes based on relative effectiveness—good or bad. 0

I never intervened; honestly speaking, I decided to let them handle things themselves. If they could manage the Military Training students well today, they would be ready for Training Brigade's preliminary class leader training tomorrow. This Military Training served as an assessment for me to determine who among them had the capability and level needed to become class leaders. 0

I also found that this Military Training was very meaningful for the students. During this Military Training, almost all the soldiers followed our Sharp Blade Company training style, extending various exercises by ten minutes at the end and encouraging everyone to persevere. When someone attacked the training Discipline, decisive punishments were enforced to serve as a warning for everyone. In their breaks, I interacted with the students, blending in with them. 0

I thought that perhaps this way, these students could gradually grow and learn many things, or it might help them find a beacon at the beginning of their university life, preventing them from repeating yesterday's frustrations. Sometimes, watching the instructors work hard during training reminded me of my own teachers who imparted knowledge and guidance to me. I recalled my rebellious behavior as a student sitting below the podium and remembered my own experiences during Military Training back in the day. 0

It is only today that I deeply feel the heavy responsibility that the instructors bear. I told myself that I must ensure these kids complete their Military Training happily and meaningfully. Adhering to the principle of "safety first," I paid close attention to the students' physical conditions. While standing in Military Posture and performing movements, I would actively ask if any students felt unwell, insisting that they should not push themselves if they couldn't hold on. Additionally, during training periods, I allowed Cadets to rest more often—generally twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon—and tried to have everyone find shaded areas to avoid unnecessary discomfort. 0

Indeed, there were a few mischievous troublemakers who weren't afraid of punishment. I understood their mindset; they yearned to add some colorful humor to the monotonous Military Training life, which led them to make intentional or unintentional mistakes—cute mistakes, really. The soldiers were careful when punishing these lovable characters, and there was never any disharmony, which pleased me greatly. 0

The students also learned to sing songs during breaks, often competing in groups. "Unity Is Strength" and learning from Lei Feng were among the most frequently sung songs, echoing across the playground and creating a noticeably more vibrant training atmosphere than in previous days. 0

Once I got on track, I found myself with little to do. Each day, I followed along with the exercises, commenting on yesterday's Internal Affairs inspection before we began standing in Military Posture, setting requirements for that day's training; at the end of the afternoon, I would review each class's training performance and any issues discovered. Beyond that, there wasn't much else for me to do. Gradually, I began to feel like an extra person; I even thought about training a few classes of students myself. This thought arose because I noticed that even Jinghe had his little followers—these girls often sneaked snacks into their pockets and fed them to Jinghe during breaks. After discovering this situation, Pudding would always join Jinghe in eating snacks during breaks, which left me feeling quite frustrated. 0

In short, everything proceeded normally until the first week's Sunday. It was a day off when another incident occurred. 0

To be continued; tomorrow will be even more exciting. 0
