A building on the west side of Mestlin Manor.
This place was originally a storage area for miscellaneous items, but after a night of tidying up, everything had been cleared out, leaving even the basement empty.
Once organized, it became Xiar's Experimental Base by the next day, guarded by four of the most powerful knights, with even family members forbidden from entering or leaving.
Around noon, two hunters were brought into the building by the guards, anxiously waiting for their audience.
Ever since two hunters had encountered trouble while following Xiar last time, others had begun to fear this usually carefree young master.
However, unable to resist the lure of a hefty bounty, some still chose to obey orders in hopes of earning money.
"Have you brought the items?" Xiar hurriedly emerged from the basement, his gaze immediately fixating on a jar held by one of them.
The two men quickly raised it with trembling hands, forcing smiles as they said, "Young Master, this is the most terrifying Bee we could find. If you're not careful, even a Grizzly Bear could be taken down by them!"
"Oh? Let's take a look," Xiar instructed with keen interest.
As the young master of the family, with full support from the Baron, his first command was to send people to search for the most fearsome swarming Insects, such as ants and Bees.
As long as he was satisfied, there would be a reward of dozens or even hundreds of gold coins. This news spread quickly among the hunters in Shining Gold Town, prompting them to venture deep into the forest in search of these creatures.
The hunter opened a jar roughly the size of a basin, revealing a massive Hive filled with a swarm of yellow Bees.
"Young Master, we used smoke to stun them; they should take some time to wake up," one hunter explained.
Xiar casually pinched one out with his fingers while listening intently. "These Bees fly very fast and can shoot their venomous stingers from their abdomens. If you get stung, it will turn into a pus-filled sore. If not treated promptly, it can spread significantly!"
Xiar glanced at him and noticed that his hand was swollen considerably—clearly a result of being stung.
This creature, the size of a thumb, resembles a common bee but has only four legs instead of six. Its body is divided into three segments, with all four legs protruding from its round abdomen.
Even more peculiar is that it possesses three stingers: two are located on its claws near the head, while the largest one is situated at the tail.
"We call it the Giant Stinger Bee. The two stingers at the front can shoot. The one at the back is even more venomous; in severe cases, it can be lethal!" the other party said, still shaken.
Buzz!
The bee suddenly awakened, flapping its wings in an attempt to escape, but the two fingers gripping it did not budge.
Realizing it could not flee, its body curled up, and the shiny white stinger at its tail lunged fiercely toward his hand!
"Ah, my hand!" The three hunters and guards exclaimed in shock, not expecting such a dangerous scene.
The person before them was the future master of their territory. If he were harmed, the enraged Baron might execute them without hesitation; death would be no surprise!
In their territory, a Lord was like a local emperor; with just a fabricated charge, they could take lives. This was the power of nobility!
However, what left them wide-eyed was that the seemingly razor-sharp stinger appeared to hit an invisible barrier, unable to pierce the skin no matter how hard it tried.
"Very good; there should be a Queen Bee inside," Xiar said calmly as he flicked his finger, knocking it unconscious and tossing it into a jar before looking at the others.
The hunter snapped back to reality and hurriedly nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes! We captured the entire swarm; only a few managed to escape!"
They continued to gaze at him in astonishment, unable to fathom why the stinger couldn't penetrate his skin.
"Very good. Go collect your reward."
Xiar nodded, prompting the three to breathe a sigh of relief as they bowed deeply to him and retreated with smiles on their faces.
"Young Master, should we help you carry it inside?"
One of the guards asked with a hint of flattery, but he waved him away dismissively. He couldn't let these fellows see any of the experiments.
With his significantly enhanced physical abilities, he effortlessly lifted the heavy jars with one hand and carried them into the basement.
The door leading to the basement had been shielded with a barrier, making it impossible for ordinary people to find, let alone enter.
This was merely his temporary Experimental Base, having moved everything from the laboratory by the river here. Once he finished his research, he would completely destroy everything in this place, leaving no trace behind.
On the spacious Experiment Table, Xiar casually cast an Illusionary Spirit Technique, trapping a group of weak-minded Bees within it.
They flew around as if enclosed in transparent glass, unable to escape and fly wildly.
He took out the Colorful Puffball and took a deep breath, channeling energy from the Source Crystals to activate it.
Buzz!
A layer of colorful light cascaded over the entire swarm of bees, causing each Bee to suddenly stop moving and settle on the table.
The Source Power he summoned began to deplete rapidly; in the blink of an eye, it consumed the energy of one Source Crystal, and the rate of consumption only increased.
Pop!
With a soft sound, the Colorful Radiance faded, yet the group of Giant Stinger Bees showed no signs of change—
It was a failure!
"Well, I guess I was thinking too simply."
Xiar was unconcerned and directly activated the second plan, conjuring a Giant Stinger Bee and casting the Analysis Rune.
Brilliant Inheritance Factors emerged, which he quickly sketched onto a nearby piece of parchment.
He then tossed it in, conjured a second one, sketched it out, and tossed it in again, continuing to the next.
This process continued for three hours until he could no longer discern any unusual Inheritance Factors, at which point he stopped this tedious task.
Xiar rubbed his throbbing temples; the intense consumption of mental energy left him feeling somewhat dizzy.
He had begun to suspect that the Evolution Modulator's Evolution points and the Colorful Puffball's Half Totem transformation were likely sourced from his own knowledge base, materializing the inherited images he understood and allowing them to develop.
Otherwise, that Jungle Lizard wouldn't have evolved into a form resembling a Komodo Dragon from his past life. This further validated his hypothesis.
Xiar documented the Inheritance Factors and Analysis of this Giant Stinger Bee population, having grasped its various future Evolution directions.
Next, he dissected several Giant Stinger Bees, using a microscope to thoroughly study their internal structures.
Knowledge is power; now it was time to see if his hypothesis was correct.
Xiar reached out to grasp a Queen Bee, which was three times the size of an ordinary Giant Stinger Bee, consuming five Source Crystals as Colorful Radiance lit up once more.
