The totem looked strange, standing over three meters tall, with a body as round as a basketball, covered in a layer of light yellow fur, and lacking a tail.
Its two front paws resembled red leather gloves, each about the size of a basin. The two legs were hairless like a human's, but unfortunately, they only had two long toes.
"Meow!"
The fox let out a cry, its fur bristling as it warily watched the creature.
Xiar showed a look of shock and exclaimed, "You... you are actually a Second-Level Spirit Master? And what is the Imperial Security Management Department?"
"Sorry about that. I concealed my identity to get closer to you. After interacting with you, I found that you pose no threat to ordinary people, so I specifically invited you to join the Security Department."
Daniel rubbed his hands together, a proud expression on his face. "See this? This is my Main Totem, the Crimson Fire Monkey. With the resources from the Security Department, it has nearly reached Ultimate Evolution!"
"That's impressive! My Main Totem Firefly is still at First Level; I just can't gather enough resources for its Evolution." Xiar said with envy, reaching out to comfort the slightly panicked white fox.
The other party's eyes lit up as he smiled. "Brother, I can tell you're short on funds just by seeing you buy discarded battle beasts... I'm not mocking you; I just want to tell you that I was once as poor as you."
"When I first became a Spirit Master, I nearly exhausted my family's wealth trying to cultivate a totem until I joined the Security Department. In there, you can earn resources by completing missions. As long as you're diligent enough, achieving Ultimate Evolution isn't just a dream!"
"Come on, join us and fight alongside me!"
Xiar was momentarily stunned and then somewhat dazed replied, "That sounds pretty good—but what about saving those people?"
He pointed to one side where a person was pinned to the ground by a Plant Monster, their mouth blocked by a thick branch, struggling desperately.
"You should quickly find a weapon and join the fight; these Plant Monsters are weak!" Daniel said without further ado, swiftly directing his rotund totem toward the rescue.
Despite its bulky appearance, this creature moved with the agility of a monkey. It picked up a stone and smashed it into the Plant Monster before lunging forward and delivering a punch that obliterated it!
Next, this fellow took a deep breath; its round belly expanded again before it expelled a large mouthful of Red Liquid like a rainstorm, drenching over ten Plant Monsters. Then Blazing Flames ignited, turning them all to ash.
The Crimson Fire Monkey fell into a furious rage, attacking all surrounding Plant Monsters like a fierce boxer with gloves on. With each punch, it could easily crush one—its power was terrifyingly strong.
On the central battlefield, the fight between Yolanda and Leslie became increasingly exaggerated.
Yolanda seemed to have used some unknown means, as her vine, the Main Totem, surged in size once again. Vines dozens of meters long spread across large areas of the estate.
Even more terrifying was that living plants flew toward it like moths to a flame, only to be devoured, causing it to swell even further.
Leslie, who had been evenly matched with it, suddenly found himself at a disadvantage. No matter how fierce and powerful he was, he could no longer smash through the massive maw of a vine with a single punch.
Vines completely surrounded him, forming a green cage that trapped him inside. No matter how much he struggled, he could not break free.
His strength was indeed formidable; each punch and kick left huge dents in the thick green cage. But that was all he could do. The cage continued to expand, gradually compressing his space for movement.
Roar!
Seeing him in deadly peril, Rody immediately commanded Black to charge in and attempt to rescue him.
Now standing over three meters tall, Black's entire body was as dark as cast iron, resembling the monsters often seen in sci-fi movies from a past life.
"This is the strongest totem known as the King of Strength in the future, and its power is already showing," Xiar remarked as he slashed down a Plant Monster that lunged at them, eyeing the black creature.
Its strength was no less than Leslie's; its sharp claws easily tore through the vines. With fierce determination, it clawed at the vines, ripping them apart and even breaking them!
Leslie intended to take advantage of this distraction to escape, but more vines appeared, forming a massive sphere that violently knocked the black creature away.
"Very well. I didn't want to use those things given to me by others, but it seems I have no choice now." Inside the cage, Leslie remained unfazed as he retrieved a peculiar light red cube from his waist and pressed it firmly into his chest.
This fist-sized cube was forcefully embedded into his flesh, accompanied by strange gulping sounds. A layer of crimson light quickly emerged from the cube.
The blood-red glow flowed over his body like water, and in an instant, it enveloped him entirely, transforming into a grotesque suit of humanoid armor.
Sharp bone blades appeared on his arms, back, legs, and feet. Most notably, his fingers morphed into glimmering claws radiating cold light.
"Though I dislike this very much, this thing will indeed double my attack power. Now then, prepare to enjoy yourself thoroughly, you foolish and filthy wretch!"
He let out a furious roar, his claws effortlessly slicing through the vines. Countless fragments of vines splattered around him as he carved out a massive passage and walked out with ease.
Yolanda remained silent as the vine sphere, now expanded to five meters in diameter, split open in the middle. Vines slithered and formed a staircase beneath her feet, allowing her to step inside.
The vines closed in layer by layer, resembling flowers folding shut, completely enveloping her enchanting figure.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Vines writhed across the ground like giant pythons, their lengths surging to over a hundred meters, covering most of the estate. Sinister mouths opened wide, swallowing the remaining ordinary people whole!
"You truly deserve to die! How can there be such a reckless murderer in this world?" Rody's eyes widened. He had initially tried to save these people, but not a single one had escaped.
One by one, they were devoured before his very eyes, leaving not even bones behind.
Hundreds of lives vanished entirely, igniting a fury within him that turned his gaze crimson.
Roar!
The Black Behemoth, once ensnared by the vines, let out an enraged howl. Its three-meter-long body suddenly surged to five meters, and sharp bone spines sprouted from its tail, viciously tearing through the vines as it lunged toward the center of the Vine Ball.
Xiar quietly hid in a place unreachable by the vines, a smirk forming at the corner of her mouth. "Interesting. Let's see how you all contend with this plant totem that has already reached Ultimate Evolution!"
