Xiar calmly looked at the girl's frail body and gently pressed his hand against her abdomen. He felt a sticky sensation beneath his palm, as if pressing on rotten meat, causing his stomach to churn.

"Not a problem! How much do you need?" Tiffany said, rolling up her sleeves to reveal her fair wrists. With one hand, she held a knife that she had pulled from her leg, testing it against her wrist.

Just as he stepped out of the courtyard, someone blocked his path, looking at him without restraint. "Who are you?"
"A doctor who treats and saves people," Xiar replied calmly, meeting the other person's gaze.
The person before him was part of the group that had disembarked from the Whale Ship earlier. They seemed to have come to this fishing village with a specific purpose.
"Oh, who else is inside?" the leader asked in an authoritative tone.
"Who are you?" Xiar countered.
"I'm asking you a question. Do you know who you're talking to..." one of them sneered coldly.
Before he could finish, a soft squirming sound interrupted him, leaving him momentarily stunned.
Xiar casually pushed him aside and said lightly, "I dislike it when others point at me like that."
