"Well, it seems that you experimental subjects aren't exactly normal either," Xiar said, pointing in confusion at the bizarre creatures.
Warner pulled out a muscular lab rat from a glass container, smiling as he said, "Don't be fooled by their strange appearances; they are all products of pure natural evolution, representing a certain inheritance that has been triggered within them. No matter how odd they look, they are still natural organisms."
"However, Morent's research is indeed captivating. Everything can be achieved in one step to obtain the desired results."
He moved to a corner and carefully brought out a petri dish containing some vibrant green plants that resembled ordinary crops.
"This was an experiment I conducted earlier, and it inadvertently led to its creation."
"What is this?" Xiar asked, noticing for the first time the look of astonishment—and even fear—on Warner's face.
It was surprising; even when facing life-and-death situations earlier, Warner hadn't shown such fear!
"This is the result of grafting a Weed Inheritance Factor onto crops," Warner explained, pulling out one of the plants and pointing to its thick and lush roots. "This thing has a growth cycle of only one month, which is just one-sixth of the original time, and its yield increases by 15 times!"
"What's even more terrifying is that it doesn't require fertile soil. You can just toss it anywhere, and it will grow and bear fruit on its own, possessing a resilience comparable to weeds and an incredibly high yield!"
Fifteen times!
Xiar's eyes widened in disbelief. This was far more impressive than any fertilizer; it could easily yield thousands of pounds per acre, turning previous boasts into reality.
He had struck gold!
Initially focused solely on animal research, he had no knowledge of plant studies since he didn't possess any plant totems.
He never expected that Warner could cultivate such extraordinary crops.
If this were planted on a large scale back home, Shining Gold Town would become a world-renowned agricultural hub instead of relying heavily on purchases like it did now!
"Next, I grafted other crop Inheritance Factors onto it and incorporated some fruits... and thus, I cultivated a true monster!" Warner's unease became more apparent as he carefully placed the plant back into the petri dish and covered it with a glass lid.
"This thing not only has a high yield but also provides all the necessary nutrients for the human body. In other words, you only need to eat two bowls to satisfy all your nutritional needs!"
This thing—should not exist in this world!
Xiar was equally stunned, completely unprepared for the astonishing creation that Warner had developed.
If placed on Aqua Star, it would undoubtedly shake the entire world, attracting all sorts of awards like the Nobel Prize and the Highest National Science Award!
Even in this world, if those in power were to find out, they would certainly mobilize their armies without hesitation.
They might even resort to using Disaster Beasts to seize the research results!
"Have you told anyone else about this?" Xiar asked seriously, taking a deep breath.
"No, you are the first person to know besides me," Warner replied calmly.
Xiar curiously asked, "Why not take it to Morent and exchange it for immense wealth?"
The value of such a creature was even more astonishing than cultivating a Super Evolution Totem.
If taken to Morent, it could undoubtedly fetch immeasurable wealth, enough to satisfy the resources needed for his Ultimate Evolution, and even allow him to attempt a Super Evolution!
"In the end, I created it, so I should be responsible for it," Warner sighed. "There is nothing perfect in this world, and this is no exception. Even if there seems to be no danger now, it is ultimately an unnatural product that could pose terrible risks to humanity."
"As a researcher, I need to take responsibility for this rather than covet immediate gains."
Hearing this, Xiar began to regard the person before him with greater respect; he clearly resembled the kind of scientists he admired, like Einstein and other great figures.
Unlike those who merely focused on increasing yield and taste, flooding the continent with genetically modified food that endangered infants with tainted milk powder.
He grew even more curious. "Then why are you telling me all this?"
"Because I feel that we are kindred spirits," Warner replied earnestly. "Your soul does not lie. I possess a powerful mental strength that surpasses that of a Third-Level Spirit Master, allowing me to perceive this perfectly."
"Then let's have a pleasant cooperation. I hope you can come with me to Harrison and help me build a brand new world!" Xiar extended his hand again with a smile. Just as Warner had said, souls indeed cannot lie; he was also very concerned about the terrifying dangers this thing could cause.
"I would be delighted. This world seems too backward to me; even Morent is filled with various power struggles, merely disguised under a veneer of scientific civilization."
Warner reached out and shook his hand before taking out a colorful Pine Cone the size of an egg. "Can you tell me what this is?"
"Of course," Xiar nodded, not intending to hide anything from him.
The Seed of the Tree of Life appeared obscure and unknown, yet both Morent and the Two Great Empires were fully aware of it and even turned a blind eye to each other's developments.
The Source Gate holds endless secrets, much like Pandora's Box. Even knowing that opening it could unleash some terrible disaster, people still attempt to pry it open.
After all, the path beyond the Fourth Level is completely severed, meaning that the unparalleled masters of the Fourth Level hidden throughout this world can no longer enhance their powers.
A Fourth-Level Spirit Master possesses immense power and authority, capable of effortlessly destroying cities and even kingdoms, yet they cannot enjoy a lifespan that matches their might, which is truly tragic.
The rise of the True God Cult has occurred with the tacit approval of these powers; otherwise, how could they have established nearly a hundred bases in this world?
Third-Level Spirit Masters have completely shed the threats posed by mortals; compared to ordinary people, they are considered a higher form of life, and the Fourth Level is even more so.
If it weren't for the limitations imposed by their memories and experiences, these individuals could easily regard themselves as deities, basking in the worship of billions of ordinary people.
Standing at the pinnacle of the world, these unparalleled masters are utterly indifferent to the lives of common folk. If there were even a slim chance to advance or extend their lifespans, they would willingly ignite wars.
In ancient times, there were mad Fourth-Level Spirit Masters who, in their quest for longevity, massacred hundreds of thousands in an attempt to offer sacrifices to some mysterious entity for rewards!
Of course, they failed and were ultimately hunted down and killed by other powerful beings…
"This world is indeed fascinating," Warner said, his eyes shining with anticipation after hearing this introduction.
"If what you say is true, and endless Source Power spreads throughout the world, then a grand evolution of life will erupt. I truly hope that moment arrives soon."
