Upon returning to the Steamship, Xiar introduced the person behind him under the wary gazes of the others. "This is Zoro, my strongest warrior. He doesn't like to talk, so don't disturb him."
Zoro scanned the room with his imposing physique and sharp, eagle-like eyes, causing the surrounding sailors to fall silent, as if they were rabbits being scrutinized by a predator.
He followed Xiar without uttering a word, exuding an aura of coldness that made it impossible for anyone to approach.
"Evolved Warrior... Leslie?" Once the three entered the meeting room, Warner hesitated before calling out the name of their counterpart.
The other party looked at him indifferently, offering no response. The icy expression on his face showed no signs of change, resembling a true terminator warrior.
"There was a bit of an incident; his past has been completely buried. Now he is reborn as Zoro," Xiar explained.
"As the most outstanding Evolved Warrior, he is destined to be treated as a test subject, enduring tortures that ordinary people cannot withstand..." Warner noticed something about Zoro's state but chose not to continue and shifted the topic instead.
"The Sea of Devil's Algae is a special area with no wind or waves, a standard dead zone for sailing ships. The steam-powered vessel we are on does not concern itself with such things. However, there is still a possibility of getting trapped in it."
"Don't worry, just go ahead," Xiar waved his hand dismissively, showing no hesitation.
"Alright then. With an Ultimate Form present and two unparalleled Evolved Warriors, we certainly have the qualifications to annihilate the Black Flag Pirate Crew." Warner glanced toward the stern of the ship.
There were no sailors there, but in his mental perception, he sensed a presence so formidable it filled him with dread!
At that moment, someone jumped down from the deck and pushed open the wooden door of the meeting room, stepping inside and looking down at him from above.
Behemoth lay sprawled on the ground, its head resting against Xiar's leg. Xiar reached down to stroke its head and smiled. "This is my pet cat. You don't need to worry; it won't harm you—just eats a bit too much."
A cat... Warner's mouth twitched as he fought back the urge to scoff. He shook his head and left the room.
In the conference room, Xiar looked at the silent Leslie and calmly said, "As I mentioned before, your past is completely buried. Now, follow me and together we shall rise to the pinnacle of the world!"
Leslie remained silent, and Xiar didn't mind. He stood up and returned to his own room.
This resurrection was not without flaws; the other party's memories had suffered devastating loss, with most of their life memories and those related to that girl gone.
On the surface, it appeared that Leslie had come back to life, but in reality, he was a cold and ruthless war machine, merely inheriting many of the other’s combat instincts.
His strength was also inferior to before, now only equivalent to an ordinary Ultimate Totem, rather than the peak powerhouse who could face off against the Feathered Serpent head-on!
But it didn’t matter. Once they returned, Xiar was confident he could completely transform him and restore his terrifying power.
………………
The steamship sailed through the vast ocean, and at the horizon where water met sky, a hint of green appeared.
As they continued their journey, the green gradually expanded, forming an endless sea grassland that enveloped their entire view.
On the deck, some sailors whispered among themselves, revealing expressions of worry and fear.
"We've really reached the Devil's Sea. According to those who entered, no one has ever escaped. Are we going to have problems too?"
"Rumor has it there are gigantic Sea Monsters inside that can overturn the steamship, and Bloodsucking Seaweed that can wrap around the ship and crawl up onto the deck like snakes."
"Sigh, I hope we can make it out alive. I knew such generous rewards wouldn't come easily; it's practically a death sentence!"
"What does it matter? This money is something we could hardly earn in a lifetime. It’s better to take this risk once; if we die, at least we’ll leave a substantial sum for our wives and children."
...
Xiar and the others arrived on the deck, causing the whispering sailors around them to fall silent.
His gaze swept across the endless sea of grass, and his extraordinary sense of smell had already detected the foul odor emanating from it.
The floating prairie on the ocean, where these seaweeds would rot after dying, created a nauseating stench.
Warner stood beside him, his eyes flickering with images seen from above, thanks to the Spirit Technique known as Shared Eye.
At this moment, two giant seagulls with a wingspan of three meters were soaring at an altitude of two thousand meters, surveying the Sea of Devil's Algae.
After a while, Warner devised a course based on the aerial view he had obtained and began instructing the sailors to navigate along the route he had set.
Warner explained, "The enemy possesses a Ghost Ship that can submerge underwater, making it difficult to leave traces. However, they must surface to breathe; otherwise, everyone on board would suffocate."
"I saw some signs of their surfacing through the seagull's perspective. Following these signs will lead us to their lair."
As an astonishing Spirit Master, Warner could command up to nine Auxiliary Totems and one Main Totem.
To achieve this, he had cultivated two Ultimate Evolution Body seagulls to serve as his eyes in the sky.
His Main Totem was a Black Cat, entirely black as ink.
While the Black Cat signified misfortune, in the eyes of a Spirit Master, it represented a highly potent spiritual totem choice.
His Main Totem, the Black Cat, was a rare spirit-type entity that he had spent a long time searching for before successfully finding this Totem Beast that complemented his formidable mental strength.
At that moment, the Black Cat was perched on his shoulder, its eyes shimmering with a brilliant purple light as it connected its mental energy to him, striving to extend the range of the Shared Eye as much as possible.
Typically, the range of Shared Eye could reach a maximum of one thousand meters, but now the straight-line distance to the seagull had exceeded ten thousand meters, equivalent to more than ten times that of other Spirit Masters!
Unfortunately, it was still too close; in this vast ocean, ten thousand meters was hardly significant.
The Steamship slowly entered the Sea of Devil's Algae, as if traversing a grassy plain.
Fortunately, there were many gaps here that allowed the Steamship to navigate safely, though it still needed to stop occasionally to clear the seaweed tangled around its paddles.
During the voyage, remnants of shipwrecks occasionally surfaced, further dampening the sailors' spirits. Each one operated the Steamship with trepidation, fearful that a monster might suddenly emerge from the depths.
"Hey, Piri has been down for a while; why hasn't he come back up?" one sailor suddenly exclaimed.
The three others nearby hurriedly pulled on the ropes entangled around him, but it felt like they were trying to lift a massive boulder; they couldn't bring him up at all.
Leslie strode over confidently and grabbed hold of the rope, pulling with all his might. He successfully brought it up, but what surfaced was not the sailor but a gigantic suction cup Tentacle!
Boom!
The Steamship shook violently as enormous tentacles wrapped around it, attempting to overturn the vessel!
