The newcomer was not particularly strong; in fact, he appeared quite frail. His fair skin contrasted with his flowing Silver Long Hair, and his sapphire-like eyes held a chilling gaze, reminiscent of a pampered noble young master.
However, there was an undeniable aura of superiority about him, a pressure that seemed to transcend the pirates around him, making it impossible to underestimate him.
"Bastard, you're seeking your own death!" The giant roared, gripping a massive axe the size of a door. He leaped into the air and brought the axe crashing down.
The axe was even larger than the Silver-Haired Youth himself, and it seemed certain that he would be split in two. Yet, the youth remained unfazed and instead swung his fist toward the blade!
His delicate, soft fist collided with the cold, sharp edge of the giant's axe with a thunderous impact, causing a look of disdain to appear on the giant's face.
However, that expression quickly froze as the axe was sent flying by a single punch, along with the giant himself, who was hurled back over ten meters and crashed heavily to the ground!
Thud!
The pirates who had been ready to charge forward suddenly halted in their tracks, their throats moving as they stared in shock at the seemingly frail young man.
The giant and his weapon weighed at least seven or eight hundred pounds, yet he had been effortlessly sent flying as if he were nothing more than a rag doll!
"Who are you?" Hilton narrowed his eyes coldly.
The giant was his strongest warrior, enhanced by the Evolution Potion to possess strength comparable to an Evolved Totem.
But now, without summoning a Totem Beast and relying solely on physical strength, he had been knocked away. This level of power clearly reached Third Rank!
"I am a debt collector. I have come to collect debts for the fishermen you massacred in Benson Town. Since you have committed such acts, you shall all pay for them," Xiar said emotionlessly as he walked toward Hilton, completely ignoring the hundreds of pirates surrounding them.
"Heh, so you are that unfortunate Third-Level Spirit Master. I thought you were an agent of the True God Cult trying to bring Morent to its knees. I never expected you weren't one of them. Which faction do you belong to?" Hilton sneered.
"I do not belong to any faction; I am merely here to seek vengeance for the souls that have perished." Xiar's footsteps did not falter, and the energy radiating from him grew increasingly intense.
"Hmph, stop pretending. A mere group of ants—how could a Third-Level Spirit Master like you possibly care about their lives?" Hilton sneered again, his laughter chilling.
"How dare you!" Xiar shouted angrily, his body suddenly leaping into action as he seized two pirates and hurled them at each other. "You are nothing but scum, slaughtering hundreds of innocent lives for a few scales. Let them accompany you to the grave!"
He recalled the innocent fishermen of Benson Town, who had been mercilessly massacred simply for selling Burrowing Beast scales, drawing the wrath of these pirates.
The entire town had been wiped out, with no survivors, igniting a furious blaze within him!
Hilton waved his hand, summoning a massive green serpent that instantly devoured the two pirate minions, erupting in maniacal laughter. "Ha ha! How amusing! A Tier Three Expert actually risking his life for a bunch of ants. You truly are insane!"
"We stand above billions of lives; we are not of the same kind. Why fight for a group of ants? Join us and revel in ultimate freedom!"
"Right now, all I want is to slaughter every last one of you!" Xiar firmly rejected.
"Do you really think I'm afraid of you? Tear him apart!" Hilton commanded without hesitation, unleashing a series of Spirit Techniques to direct the totem's attack.
The totem took the form of a bizarre giant serpent, over forty meters long, covered in emerald green scales.
Strangely enough, it was adorned with numerous vines topped with vibrant green leaves.
With its red eyes coldly fixed on Xiar, the green serpent launched its assault.
The leaves fell from its body, transforming into sharp arrows that whistled through the air toward Xiar.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The leaves were more powerful than the mightiest siege crossbow, yet they could not penetrate Xiar's defenses at all. Instead, they were all deflected by the Guardian Spirit Light, falling into the midst of the pirates and slicing them in half!
With one attack failing, the green giant serpent continued its assault. Vines burrowed through the ground like earth dragons, suddenly emerging around Xiar and encircling him completely.
But Xiar ignored the opponent and coldly commanded, "Tear it apart!"
A roar echoed!
A massive beast leaped from the void and landed on the back of the Azure Giant Serpent. Its sharp claws raked across the serpent's body, nearly severing it in two!
The Azure Giant Serpent was gravely injured by the claws of the hunting lion, a deep wound exposing bone appeared on its neck. It struggled fiercely, sending out vines to try to ensnare its enemy.
Another roar erupted!
The hunting lion let out a thunderous roar, exuding an aura of dominance that momentarily halted the serpent's struggles. However, it lunged again, its sharp claws slicing across the wound once more, completely severing it!
With a loud crash!
The Azure Giant Serpent shattered into countless fragments and dissipated, having been defeated in mere moments after its appearance!
"Impressive. No wonder you dared to charge in alone. Too bad you are destined to remain here!" Hilton's face paled slightly. The collapse of the Totem Beast affected him as well, but he paid little mind to it. Instead, he sneered ominously.
"Do you know? Those fellows seemed to die in great agony, each one struggling and kneeling on the ground begging for mercy from me. It was simply marvelous—the cries and struggles of humans at their last moments, their desperate mental waves are the most beautiful music in this world."
"Especially that girl, struggling while crying that her brother would surely come to save her, descending like a great hero riding on colorful clouds... Too bad you weren't there; otherwise, you should thank me for letting you hear such tender yet despairing cries."
"You truly deserve to die! I will tear you into a thousand pieces!" Xiar roared, violently ripping apart the vines around him and leaping dozens of meters toward his opponent.
Dingling~
A yellow figure suddenly appeared beside the opponent, gently shaking a bell in its hand.
Buzz!
Xiar instantly felt as if his head had been struck by a heavy hammer, and his steps became somewhat unsteady.
Dingling!
The sound of the bell rang out again, causing him to momentarily lose control of his body, standing dazed in place.
Dingling!
The Totem Beast in front of him was less than two meters tall, resembling a monkey but covered in golden fur, with pointed ears and nose. It held a bell in its hand, shaking it continuously.
"Haha, foolish and arrogant creature! Do you really think I control so many Sea Monsters by mere chance?" Hilton laughed heartily, commanding the Main Totem to continue shaking the bell, unleashing a terrifying Mental Attack.
He walked over to Xiar, ready to continue his taunts when he suddenly saw Xiar lift his head, his eyes clear and focused.
With a mocking smile, Xiar reached out and grabbed Hilton by the neck!
