Abandoned Wanderers?
The adventurers were puzzled by the words of the Source Lord. It seemed that the other party was not merely a beast, but a kind of intelligent being akin to humans.
The question was, how had they never heard of such intelligent beings existing all these years?
The Crimson Fox Humanoid Monster glanced around.
In just a brief moment of battle, the entire tribe had suffered devastating losses. Dozens of fierce warriors had been killed by human adventurers, and the casualties exceeded half.
Fortunately, what the adventurers wanted most was to capture them alive as pets for sale, rather than to kill them outright; otherwise, the death toll would have been much higher.
In the valley, humans and monsters knelt on the ground, only able to hear the suppressed cries of the wounded—both monsters and adventurers alike.
This was a war of extermination on a large scale. Even though human adventurers held the advantage, it was not so easy to suppress and capture these monsters; they had paid a heavy price.
The Crimson Fox Monster also knelt down, its sharp fox mouth uttering in perfect Harrison Language: “Great Sovereign, I am willing to lead my kin in submission to you and become your most loyal subordinate. But please punish those Killers who have slain my people!”
“This beast!”
“Damn Bastard, how dare it bargain before the great Source Lord!”
“I’ve been gravely injured because of it; I cannot forgive them!”
At this, the adventurers were instantly stirred into a frenzy. After all, many had been injured, and some even had fallen comrades.
In response, the Radiant Figure offered only a brief statement with no explanation—
“Submit, or be exterminated.”
Majestic!
The only word in the hearts of many adventurers was this; the figure before them showed no concern for the resistance of these special monsters, acting in such a simple and brutal manner.
What was even more terrifying was that if this being wished to initiate a genocide, not a single Humanoid Monster would survive the next moment!
"Great Sovereign, we have been abandoned by those people. After enduring centuries of breeding, we have formed our own tribes. I pray that you grant us a piece of land where we can live freely, away from the threats of these greedy wolves!"
The Crimson Fox still did not give up, desperately striving for the benefit of its kin. If it did not act now, there would be no opportunity left in the future.
This was the only thing the weak could do: to humbly plead for mercy rather than futilely resist.
"I will carve out a piece of land for you in this forest. All your kin must reside here; anyone who dares to escape will be mercilessly killed."
Upon hearing this, the Crimson Fox trembled and lay flat on the ground, its sharp nose barely touching the earth, expressing its utmost loyalty: "Thank you, great Sovereign. Your will guides our direction; we will surely follow your instructions!"
The adventurers felt reluctant because these humanoid beings represented a fortune, but now under the command of the Source Lord, they could no longer act against them.
However, there was nothing they could do; this figure was an absolute sovereign, a deity in the hearts of countless people, and their words were beyond reproach.
Yet, as if sensing their thoughts, the radiant figure's calm voice echoed in the ears of each adventurer: "Adventurers, your courage has been witnessed by me. All participants will receive a certain amount of Source Points Reward; how much you receive depends on your previous performance."
"Praise the Source Lord!"
"Thank you, great Sovereign. Your glory shall illuminate the entire world!"
As the adventurers saw their personal accounts filled with Source Points, smiles broke out among them. Each one displayed generosity; even the least among them had hundreds of Source Points, while some had over ten thousand!
At that moment, Tracy looked at the sudden increase of fifty thousand Source Points in her account, but instead of feeling joy, she pushed through the crowd from a distance and knelt before that figure, her forehead hitting the ground heavily.
"Great Master, I do not want the Source Points Reward; I only ask that you bring Uncle Cruton and Ma Fei back to life!"
"Please!"
Her voice was filled with sobs, heavy with profound sorrow and the last glimmer of hope.
Yura silently approached and knelt beside her on the ground.
All the adventurers looked at that figure with anticipation, yearning for a response that would showcase their immense power.
However, the figure sighed softly and said, "I’m sorry. Death is a rule of this world; even one as powerful as I cannot reverse this rule. No one in this world can bring the dead back to life!"
Thud!
With the final hope extinguished, Tracy fainted upon hearing those words. Yura stood up and quietly gathered her into her arms, saying nothing more.
Buzzing!
At that moment, a denser sound filled the air as swarms of Flying Insect Tribe approached from afar, forming a massive encirclement around the remaining Humanoid Monsters, monitoring their movements.
The adventurers began to retreat. Although there were casualties this time, as adventurers who dared to venture into dangerous wilderness alone, they were always prepared for the possibility of death and would not dwell too much on it.
Moreover, thousands of adventurers had gained tangible rewards, making it a lucrative adventure overall.
Only the relatives and friends of the deceased felt an overwhelming sense of grief as if the ground had split beneath them.
A few hours later, a large group of the Ground Insect Tribe arrived and established a massive safe camp in the forest, which became the home for the Humanoid Monsters.
This camp had an official name—the Orc Concentration Camp!
Subsequently, many of the insects ventured into the surrounding wild mountains and valleys, locating hidden orc tribes and throwing them all into the concentration camp for centralized management.
The Humanoid Monsters also gained a new title: Orcs.
These were special beings that resembled beasts but possessed intelligence, becoming one of the forces under the command of the Source Lord.
Moreover, the official website provided an explanation of their identity—these so-called orcs were originally genuine humans!
They were a group of unfortunate individuals treated as test subjects by Morent Academy. Due to undergoing the Inheritance Factor reconstruction and flesh Organ Transplantation, coupled with years of reproduction, they had evolved into a species completely different from humans.
Before Morent's Human Super Evolution grand plan was proposed, the plan presented to all Spirit Masters in the academies was to merge humans with Totem Beasts, thereby gaining the powerful abilities of totems while retaining human spirit and soul.
Unfortunately, they failed, and one by one, these half-finished orcs were discarded into the wilderness of the Western Continent to fend for themselves...
The fervent search for new life forms thus dissipated, as adventurers were drawn to a grand official event on the Magic Web.
In Source City, the previous arena was demolished and rebuilt, giving rise to a magnificent structure that rivaled the Olympic Bird's Nest in the northeast direction of Source City.
What followed was the commencement of The First Beast Fighting Tournament!
