As night deepened, after finishing their tea, Jiang Luyi offered to take Ye Ming and Jiang Chen back. Ye Ming requested to be dropped off at a hotel near her villa, not wanting to draw attention to herself. She kept her family background a secret and didn’t mention that she already owned a villa in Shanghai.
Jiang Luyi assumed the two would be staying at the hotel and left after dropping them off. However, Ye Ming’s villa was right next to the hotel, and she led Jiang Chen back to her home. The villa was spacious, making it unnecessary for Jiang Chen to stay at the hotel. Moreover, since Jiang Chen was there to guide Ye Ming in her training, it was more convenient for them to stay together. Although they were alone together, Ye Ming had no worries about any inappropriate behavior from Jiang Chen.
The villa, named Serenity, was situated on a hillside with beautiful surroundings and all the necessary amenities. Jiang Chen looked around and felt quite satisfied; it was an excellent place for cultivation.
Since it was late, Jiang Chen and Ye Ming freshened up and then went to separate rooms to sleep. The next day was Sunday, a day off from work, which allowed Jiang Chen to focus on guiding Ye Ming in her training at the villa. In the afternoon, he decided to go out and book a flight to Island Nation.
“Master, do you have something important to do in Island Nation?” Ye Ming asked curiously.
“To retrieve my belongings,” Jiang Chen replied succinctly.
Seeing that Jiang Chen wasn’t elaborating further, Ye Ming didn’t press him for more details.
Two days later, Jiang Chen boarded a flight to Island Nation. This trip held significant meaning for him; he hoped that the Kunlun Divine Mirror from the Takeda Family was genuine. If it turned out not to be real, he would begin to doubt the authenticity of the Seven Divine Artifacts.
On the flight in first class, many passengers were heading to Island Nation for various reasons—work, studies, or tourism. The three-hour journey passed quietly until they arrived at Kyoto Airport.
At the airport exit, Jiang Chen spotted a girl holding a sign that read “Welcome Jiang Chen” in Huaxia characters.
Jiang Chen’s main purpose for visiting Island Nation was to obtain the Kunlun Divine Mirror. Since it was with the Takeda Family, he wondered if other artifacts might also be located in Island Nation. He anticipated staying there for some time and recognized that language barriers could pose challenges. Therefore, having a translator fluent in Island Language would be beneficial.
Yue Hui had recommended a friend in Island Nation who spoke Huaxia Language and had informed her beforehand about his arrival—wasn’t she supposed to pick him up?
Jiang Chen smiled as he approached the girl.
“You must be Miss Tengye,” he said with a slight smile.
“Yes, Mr. Jiang. Just call me Kikuko. I’m good friends with Yue Hui. I’ll be your guide during your stay in Kyoto. Come on; it’s almost noon—I’ll take you out for lunch,” she replied cheerfully.
This young woman, Tengye Kikuko, was sweetly beautiful, dressed in a white down jacket and snow boots, resembling a character straight out of an Island Nation anime.
Jiang Chen nodded and followed Kikuko to the parking lot where her vehicle—a Lexus LS—awaited. It was considered a luxury brand in Island Nation. According to Yue Hui, Kikuko’s family was well-established in Kyoto, so it made sense that she drove an upscale car.
“Mr. Jiang,” Kikuko said as she drove, “Yue Hui emphasized over the phone that I must take good care of you. What is your relationship with her?”
“Just friends,” Jiang Chen casually replied.
“Are you here for vacation or work?” Kikuko asked again.
"I came to retrieve something from the Takeda Family," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
