Suddenly, a sharp scream from a girl pierced the air. I turned around and was surprised to see Shizui, dressed in all black casual wear, walking along the path into the campus. His presence truly elicited a chorus of excited screams from the girls around. 0

I was puzzled. "How did he end up here?" 0

Qizi raised an eyebrow, watching Shizui approach from a distance. "Do you know him?" 0

"Yeah, he's the manager of a photography studio. I went there to take some photos before." 0

Qizi placed a hand on my shoulder and gently patted it. "Stay away from him." 0

"Why?" 0

"Because I don't like him." Qizi squinted at me, his gaze fixed on Shizui. "He's just another competitor." 0

"Huh? Qizi, are you misunderstanding something?" 0

I looked at Qizi in confusion. His half-closed eyes watching Shizui didn’t seem jealous or hostile; instead, there was a sense of alertness as if danger was nearby, which felt entirely different from the notion of competition. 0

"Anxin, you're studying at this school?" Shizui smiled as he approached me. His greeting drew the ire of the surrounding girls, who shot me looks filled with resentment. 0

I swallowed hard. After all, everyone knew I was dating Chu Fan, and I occasionally appeared with Qizi as well. Now, with Shizui’s proactive greeting, how could I not be subjected to their disdain? 0

In that moment, I felt the pressure mounting behind me, making it hard to breathe. 0

I forced an awkward smile. "Mr. Shizui, what brings you here?" 0

"I happened to have some free time and came to drop off a photo." Shizui raised a small bag in his hand. "Do you know where Rong'er from the Art Department is? I tried calling her, but she didn't pick up. She clearly said she'd be on campus around this time." 0

"Rong'er?" I pointed towards the experimental building to the west. "She went to see a professor." 0

"Oh, I see!" Shizui frowned slightly, looking troubled. "I'm not familiar with this place; could you show me the way?" 0

"I—" 0

"Anxin needs to help me find some information, so I might not have time to accompany you," Qi Zhi interrupted me and turned to the eager girls around. "Who has time to take this gentleman to find Rong'er?" 0

"I do." 0

"I'm free." 0

"I'll go!" 0

"Mr. Shizui, this way." 0

... 0

They say women are crazy, but they dare not show it too much due to their ladylike demeanor. However, once someone breaks that barrier, it's a different story. As soon as Qi Zhi spoke, many girls seemed to suddenly awaken and flocked around Shizui, volunteering themselves. 0

At that moment, Shizui glanced at Qi Zhi. His dark, deep eyes remained shadowy under the sunlight, obscuring his mixed thoughts, like a still pond—beautiful yet captivating. 0

Before Shizui could refuse, a boy spotted Rong'er and shouted loudly, "Rong'er is over there!" 0

As soon as he said that, it immediately drew the displeasure of the girls, and the boy had no choice but to leave in embarrassment. I saw Rong'er approaching with a book in her hands, still wearing that outfit. 0

Just as she passed by the artificial pond, a basketball flew out of nowhere and hit her squarely. She was caught off guard; her ankle twisted, and she stumbled toward the edge of the pond. Fortunately, someone passing by managed to catch her, but her clothes got wet. 0

For some reason, when I saw her clothes dampened at that moment, my eyelid twitched. I felt an uneasy omen. 0

"Which scoundrel did this? Step forward!" 0

Rong'er had quite the temper; when she got angry, she turned into a fierce woman. She immediately scolded the culprit who ran over to apologize until someone intervened to calm her down; otherwise, she could have gone on for quite a while. 0

Shizui smiled lightly and walked over to her. Since there was a bit of distance between us, I couldn't hear what they were saying. I only saw Shizui hand Rong'er a bag—not the small one for photos but another one. 0

Rong'er opened the bag and pulled out a dress from inside. Her face lit up with joy as she looked at Shizui, her eyes shimmering and cheeks slightly flushed—she seemed quite shy. 0

As soon as I caught sight of that dress, my mind went blank. Without a second thought, I rushed over, snatched the dress, and tossed it into the pond. 0

Rong'er, who had initially appeared delicate and gentle, transformed into a fierce figure at my action. "Gu Anxin, what are you doing! How dare you throw away the dress Mr. Shizui got for me? What are you thinking?" 0

"Rong'er, that dress is exactly like the one in the photo. You can't wear it; wearing it will bring trouble." 0

The Death Prediction was likely true, and with her time of death drawing closer, if she wore that dress, something terrible could really happen. 0

So I thought at that moment: if she destroyed any part of the photo, would that mean she wouldn't die? 0

"You'll be the one in trouble! I'm perfectly fine!" Rong'er glared at me, then glanced at Shizui. Suddenly, she scoffed. "Gu Anxin, I thought you were a good person. I didn't expect you to be so shameless. You have Chu Fan but still want to flirt with other men. How low can you go?" 0

"Exactly! Gu Anxin, how can you do this?" 0

"Hey, don't say that about Anxin. She's just worried after seeing Rong'er's photo; you all know about the Death Photo circulating recently." 0

"How do you know she's not deliberately bringing up the photo to get Shizui's attention?" 0

"And what evidence do you have to prove your claims?" 0

In an instant, my good friends and the girls who disliked me began hurling insults at each other. I couldn't make sense of it all, and in the end, it was Shizui who spoke up to defuse the situation. 0

"Everyone, please stop arguing. If my presence has caused this, then I'll leave. We're all classmates; there's no need to hurt each other's feelings. As for the Death Photo you mentioned, I've heard about it too. It's better to avoid trouble; Miss Anxin is only looking out for Rong'er's safety by doing this, right?" 0

Under Shizui's seemingly affectionate gaze, Rong'er lost her anger completely. She smiled sweetly and said to me, "Let's forget about this matter. I'll go back to my dorm and change clothes. Mr. Shizui, please bring me the photo later; I'll treat you to tea." 0

"No thanks; I have things to do. Here’s the photo for now; next time you want tea, come to my shop—it's on me." 0

"But that dress was bought for your model! How about I buy another one for you later?" 0

Rong'er's expression clearly indicated she wanted Shizui to stay a bit longer, but he seemed unwilling. "I just bought it because I liked it; it's no big deal. I'm leaving now." 0

With a smile, Shizui handed her the bag containing the photo and left with a slight grin. As he walked past me, I suddenly caught a whiff of a pleasant scent from him—a fragrance that made me feel light-headed. I swayed slightly and was steadied by Qi Yi. 0

"What’s wrong with you?" 0

"Nothing, I might have woken up too early this morning. I'm just a bit tired now." 0

"Then let me take you home." 0

"Isn't that a bit inappropriate?" 0

"It's fine, let's go." 0

Rong'er didn’t linger and took her bag as she left. The place felt empty as I watched the dress floating in the water. The Cleaner Aunt shook her head and picked it up, tossing it into the trash bin. 0

I was dropped off at Chu Fan's house by Qi Zhi. At that time, Molin hadn’t returned yet. I tried calling him but found his phone was off. I had no idea what had happened to him, so I sent him a text about what had just occurred. 0

Qi Zhi didn’t stay long and left. Alone in the spacious house, I felt a chill, especially when I remembered that Chu Fan's body was still in the freezer. A shiver ran down my spine, and I grabbed a cup of water before retreating to the bedroom. 0

Jun Chong had mentioned that he set up a barrier in the bedroom, preventing any spirits from approaching except for him. So whenever I felt scared, I would hide in there and close the door. 0

I felt extremely drowsy since returning from school and dozed off on the bed. It wasn’t until Molin shook me awake that I groggily opened my eyes. 0

"Are you a pig? No matter how much I called, you wouldn’t wake up! I thought you were possessed!" 0

Molin shot me an annoyed glance. I propped myself up, feeling dizzy and weak against the headboard, lacking the energy to bicker with him. 0

"You’re back?" I noticed it was already dark outside and gasped, "What time is it? I still need to get the photos." 0

"It’s eight o'clock at night! I've been calling you for half an hour! Luckily, I didn’t sense anything unusual from you; otherwise, I would have had to summon your spirit back." 0

"Huh?" I quickly pulled out my phone and saw several missed calls from Shizui. The last message was an hour ago: "Anxin, your phone has been unreachable. I've kept the photos for you; come pick them up when you can." 0

Feeling embarrassed, I replied to his message, but then Molin snatched my phone away. He sat on the edge of the bed with an irritated expression, staring at me as if scrutinizing me. 0

"Why are you looking at me like that?" 0

“Gu Anxin, there's something off about your aura lately. Have you been in contact with anyone unusual these past few days?” 0

I tilted my head and thought for a moment before shaking it. “No? Besides you, I've only been around Xiao You, Ling Feng, Qi Zhi, Shizui, and some classmates and strangers. Quite a lot, actually.” 0

Molin squinted at me and asked, “Who is Shizui?” 0

“The owner of For You in This Life?” I blinked, recalling the strange encounter at his shop. I quickly asked, “Is there something wrong with him?” 0

“I don’t know; I was just asking.” Molin scratched his head and suddenly glanced at me. 0

It was then that I realized I was still in my pajamas and hadn’t put on a bra underneath. I quickly covered myself with the blanket and looked at him warily. “You need to leave!” 0

“Leave? Who would be interested in you? Idiot.” 0

Seeing the disdainful look on Molin's face made me understand why he was still single at his age. Although I wasn't a supermodel, I had a decent figure and looks. The fact that he showed no interest at all—was that normal? 0

“I don’t care; just get out for now. I need to change.” 0

“Hmph. Who wants to see?” Molin turned away in dissatisfaction. Just as he was about to close the door, he suddenly said, “Rong'er is dead.” 0

I froze mid-reach for my bra, shock washing over me as I turned to look at him. Trembling, I asked, “Dead?” 0
