Becoming a Seventh-Level Summoner, in addition to the various new types of Arms appearing in the Summoning Book, Ye Huan never expected that with the fusion of Cultivator and Summoner powers, the Summoning Book would undergo changes. Take the Barrett for example; previously, after summoning the Barrett Sniper Rifle, Ye Huan could only use one before summoning another. However, after becoming a Cultivator, the Barrett now had replaceable bullets, increasing the usability of a single firearm.
Now, after absorbing the blood of the Holy Dragon and the Tenth Level Beast Inner Pill, the replaceable bullets had been further refined into various uniquely functional ammunition. This meant that through Summon Arms, Ye Huan could not only materialize weapons but also received numerous additional items gifted by the Summoning Book—essentially a buy one get many offer.
"Hehe, let's see how well this works..."
Muttering softly, Ye Huan removed the magazine from the Barrett Sniper Rifle in the usual way and loaded an armor-piercing round into it. Skillfully chambering the round, Ye Huan aimed the dark muzzle of the Barrett directly at Bai Yulin, who seemed completely unconcerned about the weapon's power.
Seeing Ye Huan's actions clearly, Bai Yulin shrugged his shoulders and maintained an indifferent expression. He slowly spoke to Ye Huan, "Ye Huan, I advise you to bring out something special! During your unconsciousness, members of Dragon Hall demonstrated the power of the Barrett to me. I'm not boasting; unless the sun rises from the west, you won't be able to hurt me with that."
"You won't know until you try. Who knows? Maybe today the sun will actually rise from the west!"
Not one to back down easily, although Ye Huan still had little confidence in the armor-piercing round, a tough target like Bai Yulin was not something one encountered every day. With his tough skin and thick flesh, he was just perfect for Ye Huan to experiment with various Arms. How could Ye Huan pass up such an opportunity?
With that said, Ye Huan locked onto Bai Yulin using Divine Sense and then pulled the trigger decisively...
Bang!
The gunshot rang out. Neither of the two girls nearby nor Bai Yulin himself had any confidence in Ye Huan's shot. Of course, it wasn't that they were unaware of the Barrett's power; it was precisely because they knew that they had no faith in this weapon against an ordinary person—after all, their opponent was a Tenth Level Magical Beast Sacred Dragon.
Without even making a move to resist after hearing the gunshot from the Barrett, Bai Yulin stood there casually, his expression relaxed as if Ye Huan hadn't attacked at all. But within less than a tenth of a second, there was a dull sound as a bullet penetrated his skin, followed by a burst of blood blooming vividly on Bai Yulin's chest.
"This is impossible!"
Shocked, Bai Yulin lowered his head. He knew he hadn't made any defensive moves at all, but as a Tenth-Level Beast, how could his skin be so easily pierced by Ye Huan with just a Barrett?
Hearing Bai Yulin's exclamation, Ye Huan smiled inwardly, feeling a stroke of luck. After all, being able to injure Bai Yulin with a Barrett was akin to a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse.
It was important to note that during Ye Huan's previous attacks, Bai Yulin had been cautious due to his apprehension about rockets and Hellfire Missiles. Upon seeing Ye Huan's movements, Bai Yulin had immediately activated his defenses. However, this time, he did not do so. Whether it was due to overconfidence or arrogance, the fact remained that the armor-piercing rounds from the Barrett were sharper than before. Coupled with the bullet's resistance to wind drag, the difference between the armor-piercing rounds and regular Barrett ammunition was like comparing heaven and earth. It was entirely reasonable for Ye Huan to injure Bai Yulin, who had not taken any defensive measures. But to think he could harm Bai Yulin while he was defending himself was nothing short of a fantasy.
Bai Yulin offered an explanation, and though he seemed only partially understanding, he became alert once again. A dazzling white light enveloped him, clearly indicating that he had activated some healing magic or Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy for defense.
Noticing the changes in Bai Yulin and understanding the effects of the Barrett's ammunition, Ye Huan began to grasp what these bullets could do. He decided to abandon the idea of using Bai Yulin as a target and slowly took out the Summoning Book.
"What is Ye Huan doing with the Summoning Book? Could it be that with his current strength, summoning the next Arms would be quite challenging?"
Having spent over two months at Dragon Hall Headquarters and interacting daily with members of the Four Halls, Black Shadow Flower understood that under normal circumstances, Ye Huan would not need to rely on the 2012 Arms Compendium to summon any Arms unless he wanted to speed up the process.
With this thought in mind, Black Shadow Flower fixed her gaze on the Summoning Book without blinking. Even Zhao Ziyu, who initially believed that Ye Huan might not be able to break through Bai Yulin's defenses, felt a surge of curiosity upon witnessing Ye Huan actually injure Bai Yulin with the Barrett.
Thus, under the watchful eyes of both women and with Bai Yulin on guard, Ye Huan swiftly opened the 2012 Arms Compendium in front of them. If someone had been standing behind him, they would have noticed that Ye Huan flipped straight to the latter half of the book!
"Come forth! Eagle 400 Guided Rocket Launcher!"
With a thunderous roar from Ye Huan, an immense amount of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy surged from the Summoning Book, rapidly taking shape behind him. The sheer volume of this energy was likely enough for a Ninth-Level Mage to cast Ninth Level magic with ease!
Eagle 400 Guided Rocket Launcher?
Upon hearing every word from Ye Huan's mouth, Bai Yulin stood confused in the distance, completely unaware of what Ye Huan had just summoned. Even Zhao Ziyu, who was very familiar with Ye Huan, had never heard him mention such a thing before. But for Ye Huan holding the Summoning Book, this was something he knew all too well.
The Eagle 400 Guided Rocket Launcher was a little-known piece of Arms from the Twenty-First Century. It had not been around for long and was rarely needed in warfare; thus many people had never even heard of it. However, it was detailed in the Summoning Book as one of the most accurate rocket launchers available.
It made sense; Ye Huan now felt absolutely confident in saying that if he became a Tenth Level Summoner, there would definitely be nuclear weapons listed in the 2012 Arms Compendium. The gap between Seventh Level and Tenth Level wasn't far off; without decent Arms at his disposal, how could he possibly get by?
After lingering for a while, as the Eagle 400 guided missile launcher gradually took shape, Ye Huan scratched his head and finally climbed into the SY400 rocket launcher. In addition to the Summoning Book in his hand, he found that he had somehow acquired a small booklet, clearly labeled "Eagle 400 Guided Missile Launcher User Manual."
Sitting down in the driver's seat, he carefully opened the manual and discovered that operating the Eagle 400 was surprisingly simple. Aside from normal driving, launching the missiles carried by the Eagle 400 was straightforward: all Ye Huan had to do was turn on the display, lock onto a target, and press the launch button.
He tossed the manual aside and quickly located the display. Suddenly, he thought of computers; however, since computers were not part of Arms, it seemed he would never have the chance to view island nation combat films with an artistic eye again.
Filled with infinite rage, Ye Huan activated the display and locked onto Bai Yulin, who appeared somewhat bewildered. He pressed the launch button firmly.
With Ye Huan's action, the launch platform on the Eagle 400 slowly rose up. After tilting at a forty-five-degree angle, it came to a stop. Then, four missiles of an unknown model shot out from four launch tubes with a radius of seventy centimeters, directly heading towards Bai Yulin!
"Well, against a prepared Tenth-Level Beast, this probably won't do much to Bai Yulin. Forget it; why should I bother with a Tenth-Level Beast?"
Looking at Bai Yulin, who was ready for him, Ye Huan suddenly felt reluctant to continue fighting. His earlier agreement to spar with Bai Yulin stemmed from his lack of understanding of his own strength. However, after seeing how Barrett's bullets could only create a small hole in Bai Yulin's chest, he lost all motivation to continue. He even believed that there was no way he could break through Bai Yulin's defenses under such prepared circumstances and considered ending this pointless contest.
However, since Barrett could injure a Tenth-Level Beast without any defense, who could predict the power of rockets launched by the Eagle 400?
Just as Ye Huan was retracting the Eagle 400 and turning around, a loud explosion erupted. The shockwave from the blast knocked Ye Huan, Zhao Ziyu, and Black Shadow Flower flat onto the ground. To prevent Zhao Ziyu from getting hurt due to her weaker abilities, Black Shadow Flower instinctively shielded her as they fell. After confirming that Zhao Ziyu was safe, Black Shadow Flower lifted her head only to see a figure being blasted into the air amidst the billowing smoke.
"Could that be Bai Yulin?"
Having made this bold guess upon seeing the figure, Ye Huan suddenly heard an inhuman roar emanating from deep within the ruins of a building specially constructed for him while he was unconscious: "Who dares bury Principal Dragon underground?! I'll skin him alive!"
