Midnight, a cool mountain breeze carried a refreshing floral scent as the leaves rustled. Suddenly, two figures darted through the dense forest!
“Tianchen, it seems that guy isn’t chasing us anymore. We don’t need to run anymore, right?” Under the moonlight, Liu Yuhan leaned against a tree large enough for a single person to embrace, holding a Bronze Bow and Crossbow in her hand. Her beautiful eyes sparkled like stars in the sky as she looked at Yi Tianchen, her chest rising and falling slightly.
“Should be safe now, right?” Yi Tianchen replied with a bitter smile. He never expected to be cornered like this by a boss; it was something he had never experienced in his gaming career before.
After catching their breath, Liu Yuhan’s cheeks flushed lightly as she gazed at Yi Tianchen not far away. Suddenly, she smiled and said, “Tianchen, do you remember what you told me before dinner?”
Yi Tianchen paused for a moment before realizing what she meant. He smiled and replied, “Of course I remember. Do you believe it now?”
Liu Yuhan nodded, a hint of excitement appearing in her bright eyes. In fact, after entering Nanshan Cemetery and witnessing Yi Tianchen's skills firsthand, she had already come to a certain conclusion. No matter how similar someone’s figure might be, it was impossible for them to have the exact same movements.
Liu Yuhan had certainly kept an eye on the battle videos of God of War of the Past. Now comparing them with Yi Tianchen before her, the answer was clear. They say hearing is deceiving while seeing is believing; witnessing something firsthand surely carried more weight.
“So… shouldn’t you explain things to me?” Liu Yuhan looked at Yi Tianchen with a smile in her eyes.
“I didn’t intend to hide anything from you,” Yi Tianchen said as he gazed at the beautiful girl before him. He understood her implication and smiled lightly. “It was you who kept me in the studio; you know that!”
“What exactly happened?”
Liu Yuhan was astonished. It was true that Yi Tianchen was once the God of War. But thinking back on his performance in the studio over the past three years left her confused. What could have caused such a drastic change in him?
“I lost my memory!” Yi Tianchen said with a slight smile, speaking calmly.
Liu Yuhan’s heart trembled as she stared at Yi Tianchen’s calm face. For a moment, she didn’t know whether to feel pity for his unfortunate experience or to feel grateful that his amnesia had kept him by her side.
“Until that one blow fell! Perhaps heaven took pity on me and decided not to torment me any longer, so it returned everything I once had!” Yi Tianchen let out a long sigh. Every time he thought about this incident, he couldn’t help but feel lucky.
“Is that so?”
Liu Yuhan looked at Yi Tianchen in confusion, and an odd thought suddenly arose within her. It was as if she were talking to herself when she said, “Perhaps heaven is actually feeling sorry for me?”
Yi Tianchen was taken aback.
Liu Yuhan calmed her emotions, smiled, and said, "Isn't it true? When I needed you the most, fate brought you back to life and kept you by my side."
Yi Tianchen was momentarily speechless, lost in thought, unable to discern whom fate was truly pitying.
Liu Yuhan blinked and glanced back in the direction they had come from, reminding him, "Tianchen, it's almost three in the morning. Should we log off or go back to continue fighting the BOSS?"
"Of course we're going back!" Yi Tianchen replied with a slight smile, confidence radiating from him. "After that last battle, we've already taken down nearly 30% of the BOSS's Vitality. We can't let it slip away so easily. Besides, I have a brilliant plan to deal with it. If we can execute it successfully, taking it down will be a piece of cake."
"Alright! How do you plan to deal with it?" Liu Yuhan asked as she brushed her slightly disheveled hair, inadvertently revealing a captivating charm.
Yi Tianchen stared at her for a moment before moving closer to Liu Yuhan. He swung his sword at a large tree behind her and said with a hint of mischief, "What do you think... can that thing cut down this tree?"
Liu Yuhan paused, looking at the tree that could only be embraced by one person. She shook her head and replied, "It probably can't!" Then her thoughts shifted suddenly, and she exclaimed joyfully, "You mean we hide in the tree and attack from there?"
Yi Tianchen nodded. "Exactly! Since it can't cut down this tree, why shouldn't we take advantage of it?"
"But what if it can climb trees?" she asked.
"The chance of that happening is practically zero!" Yi Tianchen looked at Liu Yuhan and asked, "So, can you get up there?"
"It might be difficult!" Liu Yuhan shook her head. She knew very well that executing this tactic would require her to be the damage dealer; Yi Tianchen wouldn't be able to attack from a distance.
"Come on... let's give it a try!" Yi Tianchen said as he crouched down, firmly gripping his hands together as a platform for Liu Yuhan to jump onto.
Liu Yuhan nodded and quickly stepped back three or four meters. After performing a few preparatory movements, she asked, "Are you ready?"
Yi Tianchen nodded. "Let's go!"
Liu Yuhan sprinted forward, placing one foot on Yi Tianchen's hands. With his push, she leaped high into the air, her delicate hand grasping a branch. Her body gracefully spun upward until she was securely standing on the tree when Yi Tianchen turned around.
"Haha... a one-time success, not bad at all!" Yi Tianchen laughed heartily, genuinely admiring Liu Yuhan's skills. However, as his gaze swept over her, his heart skipped a beat: "Pink!"
Liu Yuhan smiled, noticing Yi Tianchen staring blankly below, his eyes fixed on her. Confused, she asked, "What are you looking at?"
Yi Tianchen was taken aback. "N-nothing at all!"
Liu Yuhan paused for a moment, then suddenly realized what was happening. She quickly stepped behind a tree to escape Yi Tianchen's fiery gaze, feeling both embarrassed and angry. "Yi Tianchen, you jerk!"
"Uh..."
Yi Tianchen's face turned red as he muttered, "I'll go lure the monsters," before fleeing in embarrassment.

Under the moonlight, the Undead Swordsman Muss showed no signs of calming down after losing his target. He swung his heavy sword back and forth, slicing through countless branches and trees.
"Roar..."
At that moment, the Undead Swordsman Muss seemed to catch a whiff of something familiar. He suddenly turned around sharply, his eerie gaze landing on a figure slowly approaching.
It was Yi Tianchen.
With a roar, the Undead Swordsman Muss charged forward, dragging his heavy sword behind him. The speed was astonishing enough to make Yi Tianchen gasp. In the blink of an eye, he felt a chilling presence rushing toward him and decisively leaped to the side.
"Bang..."
Another deafening crash echoed through the mountains!
The formidable Undead Swordsman Muss swung his heavy sword down after charging, unleashing terrifying destructive power that left a clear mark on the ground. Shattered grass and bushes were sent flying into the air, creating a stunning spectacle.
"Whoosh..."
Yi Tianchen exhaled, his gaze growing more fierce as he swiftly maneuvered through the forest with the Shadow Serpent Sword in hand. He dodged left and right, using every trick in the book to lead the Undead Swordsman, Muss, closer to Liu Yuhan, all while silently praying that the guy behind him wouldn’t unleash any major attacks.
“Roar…”
The Undead Swordsman, Muss, couldn’t speak; it could only roar continuously. Despite being a formidable Xuan Tie-level boss, it wasn’t quite sharp enough to see through Yi Tianchen’s tricks. Instead, it dragged its heavy sword in a relentless pursuit, occasionally crashing into several trees as it was toyed with.
The distance was closing in; Yi Tianchen could already see Liu Yuhan standing on a tree in the distance. However, the Undead Swordsman, Muss, was indeed ferocious, maintaining a deadly offensive during the chase. One careless move could result in it getting too close for comfort.
“Almost there! Just a little more!”
Yi Tianchen’s expression darkened as he gritted his teeth. He continued to use the trees to his advantage, evading Muss’s lethal pursuit while steadily approaching Liu Yuhan.
Suddenly, a sound of rushing wind echoed through the night sky. Yi Tianchen glanced up just in time to see arrows glinting with a bright sheen piercing through the air, followed by a series of clattering sounds behind him.
-56! -65! -75! -90! -63!…
A string of damage numbers floated above the Undead Swordsman, Muss’s head, swaying in the night sky as if they were about to form a bloodline—a sight that was quite spectacular.
Finally, the attack had begun!
