After dinner, Yi Tianchen logged in and took the opportunity to familiarize himself with the mission.
Mission Name: Defend the Mountain Village
Mission Difficulty: Legendary ★★☆☆☆☆☆
Mission Details: A tranquil little village has appeared in the Maple Forest, located twenty miles southeast of Southern Wilderness City. However, a group of Sea Monsters has set their sights on this peaceful mountain village and will launch an attack on the night three days from now.
Objective: Help the villagers of Maple Village fend off the Sea Monsters, kill all invading Sea Monsters, and obtain relevant mission tokens to deliver to the Maple Village Chief to complete the mission.
Mission Reward: Money, experience points, and a certain amount of reputation points.
Hidden Reward: One random piece of class equipment.
Mission Addition: This is a unique main storyline mission, limited to 10 players sharing. Once completed, it cannot be accepted again. It must be completed within a time limit; failure will cancel the mission.

Yi Tianchen was astonished! However, after pondering for a moment, he was pleasantly surprised to realize that this was actually a very advantageous mission. Despite its legendary two-star difficulty rating, that was merely superficial; the phrase "on the night three days from now" was key!
This aspect relates to how missions are set up in the game. The specific difficulty of a mission is determined by the player's level at the time they accept it. Given Yi Tianchen's current level of 21, a legendary two-star difficulty mission was indeed quite dangerous.
But there was an advantage in having a time limit set for three days.
In those three days, no one could predict how many levels Yi Tianchen might gain. By the time three days had passed, although the mission would still be rated as legendary two-star difficulty, it would clearly have an invisible discount applied based on his higher level, significantly increasing his chances of success.

Both Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan froze for a moment, then retreated into the room and rushed to the window. They saw five players entering Maple Village. At the front was a swordsman, with a knight on his right, a Berserker on his left, followed by a priest and a summoner.
“Looks like they’re coming for you!” Liu Yuhan whispered.

The swordsman shot a glare at the summoner and gritted his teeth. “We chased for nearly two hours, but just when we were about to catch up, his carriage vanished into thin air! I was so furious that I stabbed my own horse in frustration, which made it run off. By the time I walked back here, my legs were about to give out!”
“Uh… what kind of situation is this?” The Berserker’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“I later checked with the System,” the swordsman continued. “It turns out their rented carriage expired and was reclaimed by the System. Damn it—Falling Leaves wasn’t even in the carriage!”
"Ha ha! You guys are really unlucky!" the Knight laughed heartily.
"What the hell do you mean by that?"

"Alright, we're all here to find Falling Leaves, so there's no need to start fighting among ourselves before we even find him!" The Priest, who had been silent until now, stepped forward and scanned the small village. Suddenly, he exclaimed, "Look, this little village actually has an inn!"
"So what if it has an inn?"
"Think about it. So many people are looking for Falling Leaves, yet there's not a single clue. And this village is so close to Black Wind Stronghold. As the saying goes, the most dangerous places are often the safest. Do you think Falling Leaves might be hiding in this inn?"
"Damn, you're right! The possibility is quite high." The Swordsman slapped his thigh, his face lighting up with excitement. "Let's go to the inn!"
With that, the five of them dashed toward the inn.
Yi Tianchen felt a jolt of anxiety and tightened his grip on the Wild Fury. Things could get serious; if they discovered him, it would be great if he could fight them off, but if not, they would definitely call for more people. At that point, even a single spit from each of them could drown him.
It's important to note that in the wild Waystation and small villages, PK was unrestricted; otherwise, there would be no need for guards!
"We absolutely cannot sit back and wait for our doom; we must take the initiative and resolve this quickly!" Yi Tianchen's gaze was stern, his tone resolute.
"Don't be impulsive; let's assess the situation first!" Liu Yuhan shook her head at Yi Tianchen, pulling him toward the door where they could hear the commotion downstairs.
Soon enough, a ruckus erupted as the five players entered the inn.
"Hey! Is there someone named Falling Leaves staying here?" It was the voice of the Swordsman that rang out.
“Falling Leaves?”
This was the voice of the innkeeper. Yi Tianchen had dealt with him when booking a room; he was tall and thin, with a cunning look about him.
“Just answer us whether he is here or not, and which room he is in!” the knight said forcefully.
“Please wait a moment while I check!” The innkeeper's voice paused, but Yi Tianchen's heart jumped to his throat. After a moment, the innkeeper said, “I’m sorry, but we don’t have any guest by the name of Falling Leaves!”
“What? You better check again! No… bring me the registration book to look at…”
The swordsman roared, followed by the sound of pages flipping. Soon, a dejected voice from the swordsman came through: “Damn it, he really isn’t here… it’s an empty inn!”
“Empty inn? If it’s an empty inn, why didn’t you just say so instead of saying you needed to check?” This was the voice of the priest.
Yi Tianchen was taken aback; this guy was too sharp!
“Well…”
For a moment, the innkeeper seemed to stumble over his words. After a brief pause, he said, “All guests must register; that’s our policy. However, our staff can also register rooms for guests. I mentioned that earlier because I was worried about missing something!”
“It seems that Falling Leaves really isn’t here. Damn it, NPCs wouldn’t help him deceive us, would they?”

As the footsteps faded away, Yi Tianchen let out a long sigh, wiping his forehead and realizing he was drenched in sweat.
There was no denying that this scene had been incredibly thrilling!
After spending a short while with Liu Yuhan in the room, Yi Tianchen came downstairs to face the innkeeper. Without saying a word, he tossed a Silver Coin onto the counter. "Tip!"
"Oh?"
The innkeeper's eyes lit up as he swiftly grabbed the Silver Coin and quickly understood Yi Tianchen's intention. He chuckled, "You two are esteemed guests of Maple Village. We absolutely won't disclose any information without your permission!"
Yi Tianchen couldn't help but feel a jolt of realization as the innkeeper deftly tossed the Silver Coin into the safe.
