"What’s going on?" Big Mousy hurriedly squeezed into the sewer. 0

The sewer wasn't deep, but there was quite a bit of dirty water at the bottom; stepping in would submerge half a foot in mud. 0

"It wasn't me!" Little Russian waved his pistol, pointing upwards. "Vice Commander and the others?" 0

"Come on, that thing can barely make a sound." Big Mousy tiptoed to the hole in the sewer cover, peering out into the darkness. He could see a small building standing straight ahead, with scattered zombies wandering around. 0

"I'll take a look," Little Russian said as he leaned over to peek outside. The hole was too small for him to see the building, so he twisted his body to get a better angle. 0

Big Mousy pulled back his gaze and turned his face, nearly bumping lips with Little Russian, startling him. 0

"Stop staring; let’s get out of here quickly." Big Mousy gave him a shove and pushed against the sewer cover with both hands. 0

Little Russian stepped back, placing one foot on the drainage pipe and the other on the wall of the sewer. Just as he exerted some force, he heard the sound of fabric tearing. With a grimace, he quickly pulled his leg back and jumped down. 0

Big Mousy got splashed with dirty water and cursed, "What kind of nonsense is this!" 0

"Damn it, my pants ripped," Little Russian said, reaching down to feel flesh where his pants had torn open with a long gash. 0

"Did you come here to mess around?" Big Mousy shone his flashlight at him, unable to hold back a chuckle. 0

"Shut up!" The two friends bickered while pushing against the sewer cover. In no time, they managed to lift one side. 0

They leaned their heads over the edge, two pairs of sneaky eyes peering out from the opening. 0

"The infirmary," Little Russian exclaimed excitedly. 0

"Shut up." Big Mousy peered through the gap, taking in the surroundings. It was a concrete path, and ten meters directly ahead stood the Small Building, marked with bright letters reading 'Dormitory Building 01' on its painted wall. 0

The second floor of the dormitory extended out with railings, and each floor had about a dozen rooms. To the left of the dormitory was the medical room mentioned by Little Russian, which looked small, with a vibrant red cross on its white curtain. The other side was too dark to discern anything. 0

There weren't many Zombies around, and they were quite scattered, all stumbling toward the direction of the gunfire. 0

A Zombie dressed in a dark blue Work Uniform and wearing a hard hat approached a manhole cover and stepped right on it. 0

The two quickly let go of each other and shrank back, holding their breath as they waited for the Zombie to move away. 0

After a few minutes, most of the Zombies had left the area. The two no longer hesitated and worked together to pry open the manhole cover before climbing out one by one. 0

Little Russian bent over, gasping for breath; the smell inside had been unbearable. 0

"Hurry up," Big Mousy called out as he dashed toward the medical room. 0

"What’s the rush? The Zombies have retreated," Little Russian replied, though his pace quickened. 0

"You brainless fool, once that gun goes off, Vice Commander and the others will come in!" 0

Little Russian paused for a moment before realizing what was at stake. 0

They crouched low and jogged to the side of the low building, checking their surroundings for any lingering Zombies. 0

Big Mousy lifted the curtain at the door; the wooden door was ajar, revealing a pitch-black interior. 0

The two slipped inside, with Little Russian standing guard at the entrance while Big Mousy switched on his flashlight and ventured further in. 0

The medical room was small, consisting of just two rooms. 0

The room they were in was about five meters deep, with weathered oxygen tanks standing on either side of the door. Two hospital beds were lined up in succession, and further inside was a medicine cabinet. A small door on one side was ajar, revealing four or five more beds, with an IV stand beside them. 0

"No medicine!" Big Mousy exclaimed in a low voice. 0

"What?" 0

"No medicine, nothing at all!" 0

Big Mousy looked disappointed as he opened each glass door, rummaging through even the cardboard boxes on top of the cabinet. 0

The two of them immediately thought of the gunshot they had just heard. If there were others here... then there was no chance for them to get anything. 0

"What do we do now? Should we go to the cafeteria?" Little Russian had no ideas and casually pulled on a dirty white coat from one of the oxygen tanks. The long hem covered his torn pants. 0

"Retreat to the front door," Big Mousy decided decisively, then ran into the small room with the IV stand. A moment later, he emerged holding two metal rods. 0

"What are these?" Little Russian took one of the rods, which was about an arm's length long, with a slender crossbar at one end and two holes where it bent back. 0

"Infusion Stand," Big Mousy said as he weighed it in his hands before discarding the Wooden Spear. 0

The two quickly left the medical room, roughly determining their direction as they moved away from the Zombies. 0

As they exited the medical room, Ming Junwei and his group, including Jiang He, hurriedly arrived. 0

This was already the fourth time they had stormed into the Power Station that night; whether they could escape like they had in the previous three attempts was anyone's guess. 0

Jiang He stood in the back of the vehicle, his hair tousled by the night wind. He pulled out Bai Yudong's watch to check the time: 4 AM. They had been at it all night. 0

The sound of gunfire was unclear; the Power Station was too large, and the shots came suddenly. Bai Yudong could only deduce that the source should be at the center. 0

The truck's headlights blazed, kicking up a cloud of dust behind it. 0

"Don't stray too far!" Bai Yudong warned everyone, his anxious expression unmasked. 0

"Hold on tight!" Ming Junwei shouted. 0

Upon hearing this, the others quickly crouched down. The earlier fork in the road was packed with a throng of Zombies, illuminated by the truck's headlights, creating a glaring scene. 0

Ming Junwei pressed the accelerator to the floor, watching helplessly as the rotting faces of the Zombies drew closer. 0

Pan Luo secured herself and the little boy tightly with a seatbelt, closing her eyes just as the truck crashed into the mass of Zombies. 0

Thud! 0

It was hard to describe the sound; at the moment of contact between metal and flesh, blood and limbs flew up with a muffled thud. The terrifyingly heavy truck ground into the Horde, shredding flesh and bone. The spinning front wheels flung chunks of gore everywhere, and those clinging to the back of the truck had no time to dodge, getting splattered in the process. 0

Bai Yudong snapped back to reality from the violent jolt. Looking up, he saw that the horde of Zombies had firmly latched onto the truck. The heavy vehicle had managed to push through for several dozen meters due to its weight and speed but finally let out a mournful sound before stalling. 0

Bai Yudong shouted urgently, "Run!" 0

Ming Junwei twisted the key in an attempt to start the truck several times, but it sputtered without catching. In the rearview mirror, Zombies were closing in rapidly. Ming Junwei hurriedly unfastened his seatbelt. 0
