"Who are you?" 0

"I'm here to help you." 0

Song Yao huddled in the corner, wrapped in a bedsheet, her hair sticking to her face, her eyes filled with extreme terror. She felt as if she had been trapped in a long nightmare, bound tightly, while masked figures in white coats used cold metal instruments to carve terrifying wounds into her body. She felt like a lamb to the slaughter, unable to make a sound or even move her eyes. Suddenly, the dream shattered; blinding light pierced through her eyelids, stimulating her pupils and reminding her of the bone-chilling cold surrounding her. A surge of power seemed to rise within her, extending from her insides to her entire body, prompting her to open her eyes. 0

Summer Rain raised both hands to show she meant no harm. Once the poor girl’s emotions calmed slightly, she gently explained, "Don't be afraid. I'm here to help you. Dr. Anjeong and the White Company Commander sent me to rescue you." 0

Song Yao's mind was a blur, but the two familiar names sparked fragments of memory. Countless scattered images whirled rapidly in her mind, gradually breaking through the lengthy nightmare. She remembered encountering Bai Yudong in the corridor, recalled fleeing alongside Luci and Cao Liang, and finally remembered the scene just before she fainted. 0

"Where are they?" Song Yao tried to control her violently trembling body, but it seemed difficult; the drugs had forced her into a deep sleep, and waking up suddenly meant her muscles and nerves needed time to coordinate. 0

"I don't know, but you have to trust me." Summer Rain retrieved a white coat from a sterile chamber and tossed it to Song Yao from a distance without approaching too closely. She softly said, "I'll take you to find Dr. An. Come with me, okay?" 0

Shivering, Song Yao put on the coat and closed her eyes for a moment to calm herself before gently nodding. 0

"How long have I been asleep?" Song Yao asked. 0

"About ten days," Summer Rain replied. 0

"If you're going to kill me, you'd better do it now." Ming Junwei glanced at Chen Zhao Zhou, who was silent with his head down, unable to hold back his words. "I'm lucky; there's always someone riding on clouds coming to save me." 0

"There won't be anyone this time." Chen Zhao Zhou licked his cracked lips as the smooth walls of the elevator reflected his blurry face. 0

"Where do you plan to take me?" Ming Junwei could not deny it; this guy was dangerous. He had shot Jin Bo and Xiao Wei, clearly intending to stop them from following him secretly. The security personnel on the floor were all dead, and it seemed he was planning to turn against them. Ming Junwei glanced at the three bodies slumped in the cabin, each shot dead with a single bullet. The bullets had penetrated their skulls, splattering blood and brain matter against the metal walls, creating a grotesque inkblot. 0

"Don't speak," Chen Zhao Zhou coldly uttered three words, his gaze fixed on the numbers changing on the electronic screen, his expression icy. 0

With a soft ding, the elevator reached the ground floor. The doors slowly opened to reveal an empty hall, dimly lit by yellowish mining lamps hanging on the walls, casting an old-fashioned glow over the floor. Outside the elevator stood a figure swaying unsteadily as if trying to stand upright. 0

"Hmm?" Chen Zhao Zhou seemed somewhat puzzled as he pressed his gun against Ming Junwei's back, urging him forward with the handcuff chain. 0

The person appeared to be drunk, leaning against the wall for support and letting out low groans of pain. As Chen Zhao Zhou and Ming Junwei approached the door, the figure seemed to regain some composure, drawing a gun and aiming it at them. But he was a moment too slow. Chen Zhao Zhou had been watching his movements closely; noticing something was off, he pulled the trigger without hesitation. The man was shot in the chest, blood spraying as he fell backward. 0

Ming Junwei opened his mouth but found himself speechless as Chen Zhao Zhou shoved him out of the door. 0

The cold moon hung high in the sky, and the night wind howled. 0

After nearly a month, Ming Junwei finally stood outside his cage. The feeling of being in the wind was different from looking out at the world from a window. Although he might never see the sun rise again, Ming the Great Hero felt no regrets in his heart. As a man like the wind, dying in the autumn breeze of the wilderness could be considered a fitting end. 0

Outside the main gate, flames flickered as part of a high wall collapsed, scattering sand and concrete across the ground. On either side of that wall, those idle Field Personnel and Mercenaries were now fighting for their lives outside the gate. The dark Gobi Desert was bustling with activity; it was unclear how many enemies had arrived. Having dealt with zombies for so long, Ming Junwei found it quite rare to see so many living people at once. Chen Zhao Zhou dragged him into a dark corner where the firelight did not reach and took advantage of the chaos to climb over the collapsed wall. 0

The defensive forces were currently concentrated in front of the Container Camp, where there were both artificial structures and natural cover. The group that had rushed to the gate earlier had been driven back by Caroline; both sides were currently locked in a stalemate. The soldiers with goat beards were quite frustrated; this Foreign Girl had unwittingly led people into their camp, making it impossible for them to escape under everyone's watchful eyes. With Chen Zhao Zhou still absent, they had no choice but to split into several teams, hiding behind cover while continuing to shoot occasionally at distant targets before quickly changing positions to avoid exposure. 0

Caroline entered her sniping position within the camp; her sniper rifle lay ready there, seemingly indifferent amidst the sounds of gunfire. The Foreign Girl was furious; this powerful weapon had been treated like a mere stick by Chen Zhao Zhou, with armor-piercing rounds loaded in its magazine yet not fired even once. Remembering that day at Cheng Long's grave, her expression shifted as she clutched her sniper rifle and dashed out of the Container. 0

The Mercenaries who followed her out noticed her hurried demeanor and shouted, "Where are you going?" 0

Caroline shook her rifle in response, crouching behind an earthen platform as she called out loudly, "Hold this position! No one is allowed to advance!" 0

"Then we'll be held back, and they're draining our ammunition," the bearded Mercenary said, downing a shot of spicy liquor in anger. "Those sons of bitches!" 0

"Do as I say, and don't cross the cover to engage," the Foreign Girl ordered firmly. Taking advantage of the gunfire lull, she crawled over the dirt mound and advanced through a cluster of Red Willows, safely slipping into a gully washed out by rainwater. The graveyard was not far from the camp, located in the northwest corner where wild grass grew thick, outside the range of fire from both sides. Caroline didn't believe Chen Zhao Zhou would betray them, but she sensed he was up to something amidst the chaos. 0

The previous non-resistance of the veterans at Container Camp spoke volumes. The sniper positions hadn't been taken out, which meant they should have detected the enemy long ago. If they had fired a warning shot immediately, the enemy wouldn't have been able to get so close, even audaciously blowing up the walls. Trusting her instincts as a woman, Caroline chose not to return to the building to search; after all, it was too large to find a single target. The Foreign Girl deduced that Chen Zhao Zhou would head to the graveyard since he had spent half his time there in recent days and hadn't shown up tonight. His comrades were also evasive, indicating something was definitely off. 0

"Shaolian, there's movement over there," a soldier said, lowering his weapon and pointing to a distant area where the Red Willows swayed restlessly. "Are they trying to stretch the front line?" 0

"Let me take a look." Shaoshan wiped his sweat and raised his rifle to aim. Through the high-precision scope, he could faintly see a figure moving stealthily through the grass—quick and professional. Regrettably, Shaoshan lowered his rifle after searching himself thoroughly but only found extra sniper rounds. 0

"Go on, keep your binoculars on her and watch carefully for any movement," Shaoshan tossed the rifle back to the soldier with frustration. "Damn it." There were few covers on the Gobi Desert plains; sniping wasn't practical for them as their goal was to delay firepower, so they hadn't brought much sniper equipment. High-precision gear was too heavy for their guerrilla tactics. 0

The enemy's initial non-resistance allowed Shaoshan's men to push forward significantly. Originally, Shaoshan planned to occupy Container Camp and engage in a war of attrition with them. However, they suddenly counterattacked like they were on drugs. Fortunately, he ordered a retreat in time; otherwise, none of Blade Team would have made it back. Shaoshan's side had already lost five or six key personnel, and those who came out later were heavily armed—one misstep could lead to disaster. 0

"Shaolian, we're running low on ammunition; should we call for supplies?" a soldier said, shaking off dust and showing Shaoshan his empty magazine. 0

"Damn it! All that ammunition gone?" Shaoshan exclaimed in distress before cursing loudly. "You guys need to conserve some!" 0

"We don't have heavy firepower; we have to stack up bullets," Little Warrior retorted defiantly. "They still have machine guns—did you hear? A rat almost got caught in bullets just now; our 81 can't keep up with their rate of fire." 0

"Stop talking nonsense and get lost," Shaoshan cursed as he kicked Little Warrior aside and tossed him two magazines. "Tell them all to save some ammo; they're starting their own war of attrition too. Why are you killing yourselves? It's not like we're taking their territory." 0
