When Dr. Zhong regained consciousness, he suddenly realized that he had been thrown over someone's shoulder and was being carried past the broken wall on the side of the Platform. He was a medical professional and also a man; his combat abilities were likely far inferior to those of the burly Foreigners. Yet, the young man who was sprinting with him didn’t seem much stronger than himself. How could he tolerate being abducted like this, as if he were a helpless victim? 0

Dr. Zhong was furious and struggled fiercely, throwing a punch that landed squarely on Song Jiu's neck. Unaware that his passenger had awakened, Song Jiu was caught off guard and nearly stumbled from the blow. Seizing the opportunity, Dr. Zhong rolled off and quickly picked up a brick embedded in the grass beside him, ready to confront this unfamiliar attacker. 0

Just as his fighting spirit surged, his peripheral vision caught sight of something alarming: beyond the broken wall, a man dressed as a Taoist priest was stepping on a hefty Foreign Security guard, pulling out a long blade that had been deeply embedded in the guard's chest, sending a spray of blood all over him. 0

Song Jiu rubbed the back of his head, thinking it served him right; he had just dealt a blow to Nurse, and now the Male Doctor was getting revenge. 0

“Let’s go! Liu Yan has already retreated,” Lin Daozhang said as he wiped the blood from his blade and disarmed the guard. He nimbly jumped over the broken wall but froze upon seeing the bespectacled Male Doctor confronting Song Jiu with a brick in hand. “What are you doing?” he asked in confusion. 0

“I got hit,” Song Jiu replied with an awkward laugh. Hearing more commotion from inside the vehicle, he stepped forward and tilted his head at the Male Doctor. “Come with us.” After saying this, he chuckled again; those words sounded so familiar. 0

Dr. Zhong’s mind momentarily froze as he stammered, “Who are you people? Where are you taking me?” 0

“Stop asking so many questions and just come along,” Lin Daozhang urged impatiently, brandishing the Rifle that he hadn’t quite figured out how to use yet, pointing it at the Male Doctor while nudging him toward Song Jiu. 0

Song Jiu swiftly knocked the brick from Lin Daozhang's hand, and together they flanked Dr. Zhong, completing their first kidnapping. 0

“If you don’t want to die, keep quiet. We’re taking you to see our person for treatment; once it’s done, we’ll let you go,” Song Jiu said half-truthfully. As they passed by a low building, he paused and asked, “Did two girls get into your vehicle a couple of days ago?” 0

The captured Dr. Zhong felt somewhat panicked; the bloodied Taoist looked excessively violent, but this young man who had just punched him seemed more reasonable. Taken aback by the question, he replied, “How do you know?” 0

“Those two girls stole something from us; if you’re sensible, hand them over,” Song Jiu threatened playfully while raising his serrated blade. 0

Lin Daozhang sighed silently; sure enough, Song Jiu was improvising again. They had agreed to find a doctor and leave, but it seemed like he intended to handle both matters simultaneously. 0

Dr. Zhong was still dazed from Song Jiu's punch and couldn’t discern truth from lies at that moment. However, he understood Huihui's importance well enough; if what this young man said was true, handing her over would only endanger her. Seeing how effortlessly that Taoist had killed the guard made him realize that Huihui would be crushed without a second thought. 0

Coming to this realization, Dr. Zhong’s muddled mind suddenly cleared for an instant as he said, “She ran away.” 0

"Run!" Song Jiu's brow twitched as he angrily said, "Don't try to play tricks on me." 0

"Really, both of them ran away yesterday," Dr. Zhong immediately took on the persona of an actor, glancing at the train while vividly narrating, "No wonder I heard someone lost something today; it might have been stolen by them." 0

Song Jiu let out a cold laugh, seeing through Dr. Zhong's poor acting skills. He noticed a Black man running out from the train and quickly exchanged a glance with Lin Daozhang, shoving something into Dr. Zhong's mouth. 0

"Let’s retreat; that girl is still on the train. We can come back tomorrow," Song Jiu said, patting Male Doctor's cheek with a cold smile. "You really know how to pick your targets." 0

Dr. Zhong felt exposed and his face turned beet red. He mumbled incoherently for a moment before being dragged away by the two towards the waiting hall. 0

One guard near the train was led away, one was dead, and the remaining one went to Cabin to contact Wu Wentao. When he returned to the carriage, he found that the attackers had vanished without a trace. Just as he was puzzled, he saw the Nurse crawling out of the restroom, holding her head. Chu Guangxu had just calmed down the passengers in the carriage and rushed over, realizing something was wrong. Sure enough, the first thing the Nurse said upon seeing him was, "Dr. Zhong has been taken!" 0

Carrying a living person while escaping was indeed a bit cumbersome. Fortunately, before they left, they drove through the waiting hall and swiftly dealt with several Zombies that had surged in from outside. Song Jiu and his companions safely returned to Train Station Square. The blue business car at the roundabout had changed color; its paint was peeling off and its steel frame had corroded into black, silently parked among a row of abandoned vehicles, blending in. 0

The two shoved Dr. Zhong inside and started the car towards the location previously agreed upon with Liu Yan. The gunfire had ceased for some time; they were unsure if their pursuers had given up on chasing them. The car sped through the square, splashing dirty water everywhere as it raced forward, crashing through any Zombies in its way and leaving behind a few natural paint containers on the road. 0

"Liu Yan won't be caught up with, right?" Lin Daozhang asked worriedly. Facing two guns, it was uncertain whether Liu Yan could handle it alone. 0

"What if they do catch up?" Song Jiu seemed quite relaxed about it. He had seen Liu Yan's marksmanship during their skirmish by the river; besides, he was a proud Zombie himself. According to Song Yao's explanation, as long as his head wasn't lost, gunshot wounds or knife wounds were nothing to worry about. 0

Tied up in the backseat with a seatbelt, Dr. Zhong listened to their nonsensical conversation, his mind in a jumble. Who would have thought that less than a day after arriving at the station, he would encounter robbers? From what they said, there were more than just two attackers at the station; there were even those specifically trying to draw fire. 0

No one answered Dr. Zhong's unspoken questions as Song Jiu drove with a style akin to hacking through Zombies—chaotic and based purely on instinct. By the time they reached the designated street, their already battered car was nearing a state of being scrapped; the front bumper was missing, one headlight was shattered, and bloodstains washed away by rain covered the hood. 0

"Where is he?" Lin Daozhang leaned out of the window to look around. This was a T-junction where cars could come from either side; according to their agreement, Liu Yan should be approaching quickly from this direction. 0

"Go pick him up," Song Jiu said as he activated the windshield wipers to clear off some dirt from the glass and drove towards the road leading back to the train station. Not far down that road, they spotted Liu Yan rushing through the rain towards them. 0

"Over here!" Lin Daozhang poked his head out and waved vigorously, his face beaming with the excitement of a successful scheme. 0

Liu Yan, who was sprinting down the street, felt a surge of joy as he was about to cross the road and get into the car. Suddenly, he spotted a large group of people rushing out from the intersection on the other side. His expression changed dramatically as he shouted, "Get over here!" 0

The two people in the car were taken aback, quickly glancing in the rearview mirror to see a team of people charging toward them from a distance. Before they could react, several bursts of flames erupted from that direction. 0

"Damn it, where did these people come from?" Lin Daozhang quickly pulled his head back inside, jolted as the car accelerated and flung him into the back seat. 0

Song Jiu figured that with such heavy rain and wind, there shouldn't be any sharpshooters lurking so far away. Gathering his courage, he reversed the car at high speed and cut across the intersection to pick up Liu Yan. 0

As soon as Liu Yan got in, he exclaimed, "Hurry up, we have pursuers!" 0

"There's more?" Lin Daozhang gasped. 0

"Those two at the station have been following us," Liu Yan said, shaking off the raindrops from his glasses. Turning his head, he spotted the bound-up Male Doctor and exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, you really found him!" 0

"Thieves never leave empty-handed," Song Jiu said with a smug smile as he turned the steering wheel to head straight toward the approaching group. 0

Lin Daozhang's earlier excitement was replaced by terror as he shouted, "What are you doing? Back up!" 0

"There are pursuers behind us too; there's no backing up!" Song Jiu called out to everyone to fasten their seatbelts before slamming on the gas pedal and charging straight into the oncoming bursts of gunfire. Just as they were about to crash into the crowd ahead, Song Jiu suddenly yanked the steering wheel hard to turn. The cabin swerved and darted back into the intersection they had just come from. 0

The speed of the car surpassed that of running, while bullets whizzed past like a stampede. The business vehicle made a sharp ninety-degree turn that nearly flipped it over; one tire lifted high as it spun wildly on the slick ground. Bullets riddled one side of the vehicle like a beehive, shattering glass and scattering upholstery everywhere. In the chaos, Liu Yan pressed Lin Daozhang down to prevent him from being hit by stray bullets. 0

Song Jiu broke out in a cold sweat but felt relieved when he saw that none of the three passengers were injured. In the rearview mirror, their pursuers rounded the corner and continued their relentless chase. The sound of thunder mixed with gunfire created an eerie atmosphere in Ruined City, which seemed to come alive again amidst the chaos. 0

"They can't catch up now," Lin Daozhang sighed in relief, slumping back in his seat and panting heavily. 0

"Turns out the main force is here. No wonder there weren't many people on the train," Song Jiu licked his lips, a new idea forming in his mind. "While their main group is circling around the city, how about we take out their headquarters?" 0

"Not a good idea," Lin Daozhang shook his head vigorously, grimacing. " Master Jiu, I'm begging you, we're not Iron-Blooded Warriors. They have so many guns; how can we compete? Just the three of us wouldn't even be enough to withstand a single burst of their bullets." 0

"I never said the three of us should go," Song Jiu turned into a street corner and slowed down, muttering. "Liu Yan, you take the doctor back and report to Ming Ge. I'll lead these people in circles while you raid their place." 0

"That's too reckless," Liu Yan expressed concern, hesitating. "An ambush is a good opportunity, but you two are too dangerous. It's better to go back and not take risks." 0

"Fortune favors the bold. These people don't come with good intentions. If we hadn't come out today, they might have reached Roundabout by now. Going back now is like inviting wolves into our home; fighting them head-on might not guarantee victory." Song Jiu frowned in thought, glancing at the trembling Male Doctor behind them before suddenly asking, "Do you have walkie-talkies or any radio equipment on the train?" 0

Dr. Zhong stared at him wide-eyed, afraid to respond for fear of accidentally leaking military information. 0

"There should be some; otherwise, they wouldn't have returned so quickly," Song Jiu stroked his stubble thoughtfully. "Looks like they know the doctor has been captured; he must be quite important." 0

Dr. Zhong remained silent, trying to push the rag in his mouth out with his tongue, struggling until it almost cramped. 0

"Old Lin, strip him of his white coat," Song Jiu's eyes lit up with a new idea. 0
