"Big sister, I already have someone I care about, so you should find another target," Jiao Ziqian said, rolling his eyes as he lay on the bed. Despite his abundant energy, he couldn't maintain intense activity for long; after all, he had flesh on his waist, and there was someone sitting on him, which added weight. Zebra Stripes stood to the side with her arms crossed, a frosty expression on her face. However, she didn't seem as angry anymore. She neither approached nor left, leaving Jiao Ziqian unsure of how to respond.
Ying Dou Dou was completely exhausted, lying on Jiao Ziqian's chest and gasping for breath. Her ears buzzed, her mind was hazy, and her body trembled. It was too stimulating, too humiliating; the friction had created miracles that came too suddenly to stop. It felt like the whole world was spinning around her. With her face pressed against the rock wall, her complexion flushed and her eyes filled with despair, her gradually clearing mind raced to consider whether she should commit suicide to clear her name or eliminate this little electric motor beneath her.
As if sensing that the person on top of him was beginning to breathe more steadily, Jiao Ziqian continued to engage Zebra Stripes in unrelated conversation while his hand under the covers gently pinched Ying Dou Dou's side and traced patterns on her smooth back.
Ying Dou Dou was still in a state of weakness when she suddenly realized that Jiao Ziqian had started to get handsy again. In her embarrassment and anger, she even thought about taking them both down together and grabbed Jiao Ziqian's wandering hand to stop him from continuing his advances. Jiao Ziqian cursed under his breath, breaking free from her grip and continuing his tracing while using his other hand to squeeze her palm, hoping she would react.
Zebra Stripes frowned slightly as she noticed the body beneath the blanket starting to stir again. Her displeasure grew; did she really lack charm compared to this little girl? She thought angrily as she approached the bed, preparing to lift the covers. Jiao Ziqian felt a chill run down his spine; this woman was truly stubborn. Did he really have such an irresistible charm that it left others unable to move?
Fortunately, Ying Dou Dou finally reacted and seemed to understand what Jiao Ziqian was trying to convey. Just as Zebra Stripes reached for the blanket, the seemingly weak girl finally stood her ground and firmly pressed down on the covers, shouting angrily, "Are you sick? If you're looking for a man, go ask Red Mother! How annoying!"
Jiao Ziqian silently gave her a thumbs up in his heart. He ungratefully echoed her words while sitting up nonchalantly, waiting for her to come a little closer so he could make his move. Although the cave was strange, Jiao Ziqian didn't think the women here had any special abilities. Like Wu Wentao, he was confident he could take them down easily. However, Zebra Stripes did not act as he expected; when Ying Dou Dou shouted angrily at her, she wisely took a few steps back, leaving Jiao Ziqian's muscles tense.
Zebra Stripes felt psychologically unbalanced. Having lived in the cave for a long time, most of the men she had caught were either violent and hard to control or utterly pathetic. It was rare to encounter someone interesting like Jiao Ziqian. Although Zebra Stripes had male slaves herself, she had grown tired of them; in this place, slaves faced two fates: either they were discarded after being played with or tortured into becoming part of the Bald Eunuch Party or simply died. Zebra Stripes believed that Ying Dou Dou wouldn't be able to subdue Jiao Ziqian; if he caused any trouble, Red Mother would surely castrate him. She didn't want to see such a thing happen.
Jiao Ziqian naturally had no idea what Zebra Stripes was thinking. To him, all the women here seemed psychologically twisted; he assumed Zebra Stripes must have some ulterior motives and wanted to train him somehow. How could he let her succeed? Seeing Zebra Stripes step back made Jiao Ziqian's mind race as he decided to try something more aggressive. After all, Ying Dou Dou seemed to be on his side for now; taking on one against two shouldn't be an issue since there were only two members of the Bald Gang at the cave entrance who appeared unarmed.
"What do you want?" Ying Dou Dou shouted loudly, gaining some courage as she said irritably, "If there's nothing going on here, please leave my room."
"Little girl, don't think too highly of yourself; Red Mother rewards newcomers generously—you're not special," Zebra Stripes scoffed dismissively at Ying Dou Dou's anger while raising an eyebrow at Jiao Ziqian. "This kid has many tricks up his sleeve; sister is worried you might be deceived by him."
"Mind your own business," Ying Dou Dou retorted with surprising boldness as she tossed her long hair back and proudly declared, "Just because I'm polite doesn't mean I'm afraid of you; please leave my room."
Jiao Ziqian rolled his eyes three times in disbelief; it seemed that women always thought they could win arguments with mere words. He thought sarcastically about how ridiculous it was for her to act like a queen while he maintained a smirk that suggested he found it amusing rather than threatening—his expression completely mismatched with his words as if he were teasing a woman instead of issuing a threat.
Zebra Stripes felt a sting of humiliation as her eyes reddened. It had been years since she had been hit, and today, in her own territory, she was beaten by a man who usually walked all over her. She had even harbored some feelings for him, but he truly had the audacity to lay his hands on her. The thought made her feel even more wronged. She had intended to shout in anger, but when she opened her mouth, it turned into a sob, and tears streamed down her face like a broken dam.
Her crying left Jiao Ziqian momentarily stunned. Just moments ago, she had been so fierce; how could she crumble so easily? How could she claim to be a queen with such little resilience? Ying Dou Dou, a kind-hearted girl, couldn't bear to sneak around any longer. She rushed to Zebra Stripes' side and wiped her tears away, softly comforting her. Seeing the red marks on Zebra Stripes' cheeks made her glare at Jiao Ziqian with displeasure. "Why did you hit her?"
"Are you stupid?" Jiao Ziqian nearly choked on his words.
Ying Dou Dou was temporarily tied to him by circumstance, but that didn’t mean they were allies, especially after what he had done to her in the cave. She held no fondness for him and retorted, "She poses no threat to you; why resort to violence? After all, she's a woman."
"Why should I care? She's not my woman," Jiao Ziqian rolled his eyes. Suddenly realizing he had been careless, he recognized that Ying Dou Dou was aligned with these women. Bringing her along was like carrying a ticking time bomb; if she turned against him at a critical moment, it would be disastrous.
"You're not manly at all," Ying Dou Dou scoffed.
"I now believe they specifically came to rescue you," Jiao Ziqian said, his gaze shifting as he surveyed the Dead End where the three of them were trapped. He moved closer to Ying Dou Dou while mocking, "Birds of a feather flock together; you all must have something wrong with your heads."
Zebra Stripes looked up through tear-filled eyes, appearing pitiful enough that anyone watching would surely think Jiao Ziqian was a perverse captor of female slaves.
"Why do you speak so harshly?" Ying Dou Dou shot him an angry glance. Startled by his sudden appearance behind her, she exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
Jiao Ziqian frowned; he realized he couldn't imitate Brother Jiu's ruthlessness. If it were Brother Jiu here, he would have eliminated someone like Ying Dou Dou without hesitation—one guide was enough. Gripping the dagger in his hand tightly, Jiao Ziqian still couldn't bring himself to act cruelly. Instead, he suddenly seized Ying Dou Dou by the neck and pressed her against the cold rock wall.
Zebra Stripes sat frozen in shock nearby. She never expected the situation to change so dramatically that she momentarily forgot to escape and stared wide-eyed at the unfolding drama.
Ying Dou Dou was even more terrified; Jiao Ziqian towered over her and tightened his grip around her neck. She struggled desperately, pounding against his hand that clutched her throat while tiptoeing on the ground, fear evident in her eyes.
"Let go of me!" Ying Dou Dou cried out as she realized he wasn't just trying to scare her. Her face paled as panic set in—did he really think that just because she had spoken up against him once or twice that he would resort to killing her?
Jiao Ziqian remained unmoved, alternating between tightening and loosening his grip but ultimately unable to bring himself to go through with it.
"Why?" Ying Dou Dou stammered, her breath becoming rapid.
"Shh," Jiao Ziqian thought he was still not hard-hearted enough. The girl before him had a flushed face, her eyes filled with pain and confusion. He could only avoid her gaze, imagining Brother Jiu's approach, and slowly narrowed his eyes. However, while he resembled him in appearance, he had no idea what Song Jiu was thinking when she squinted.
Ying Dou Dou felt her brain starting to lack oxygen; her limbs grew weaker. In a daze, she thought of something and stammered, "Are you really going to kill your own woman?"
Jiao Ziqian's mind buzzed as he stared at her blankly, the strength in his hands suddenly draining away. He recalled the scene in the cave and couldn't help but feel his face flush. His thoughts became chaotic as he muttered, "I didn't even go in." As he spoke, he released his grip, an unusual emotion surging within him.
Ying Dou Dou collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air, her fear transforming into sorrow as tears welled up in her eyes while she glared at Jiao Ziqian.
Zebra Stripes sighed in relief but felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. It was truly bizarre to witness such a dramatic scene unfold before his eyes.
The three of them each harbored their own thoughts when suddenly, out of place footsteps echoed from outside Dead End, accompanied by strange calls. A bald head peeked in, staring intently at the three of them.
