The ghost was under the control of the Taoist, and the consequences would be terrifying. As I walked, I pulled out my phone and shamelessly called my master. When he answered with a lazy "Hello," he quickly added, "What do you want now, you little brat?" I knew he might have been sleeping, and waking him up would not earn me any good words. So I hurriedly asked, "Master, if a ghost is being controlled by a Taoist with ill intentions to harm others, what should I do?" 0

"Don't you have Five Spirits? Why would you be afraid of a ghost? Don't call me about such trivial matters again," my master said before hanging up. 0

I didn’t dwell on it for long. Slapping my forehead, I suddenly realized that I had initially planned to go back for talismans and attack charms. Now it seemed simpler; I could just take the Five Spirits' attachment. However, just in case, I still needed to grab a few Soul Binding Talismans. With that thought in mind, I quickened my pace; I had to return before they arrived. If the owner of the bronze mirror acted first, Holy would likely be either mad or foolish. Although no one would die in the short term, the consequences could still be severe. 0

Upon returning home, I performed a ritual to summon the Five Spirits and then rushed back to Holy's house. Inside was only Xiao Chen. I sighed in relief as Xiao Chen said, "They'll be here soon; Holy just texted me that they have about ten minutes left." Nodding, I glanced at the still calm Soul-Trapping Formation in the corner, knowing that the ghost was still fixated on the oil lamp. For ten years, as long as the lamp remained lit, it would remain trapped inside, staring at it without moving. 0

I told Xiao Chen, "It's good that I didn't make any noise during the call; the owner of the bronze mirror doesn't know I'm here. So when he arrives, just say that I told him he could handle it alone and that's why I'm not coming." Xiao Chen nodded in agreement as I handed him a stack of Joss Paper. "Now you hide in your room while I prepare. Later, burn these Joss Papers three feet away from the oil lamp." He nodded again as I turned to enter my room. 0

I began setting up the ritual to summon the Five Spirits. Of course, I'd only do this as a last resort, but fearing time might run out, I prepared anyway. Summoning the Five Spirits is similar to worshiping them; good wine and meat are laid out along with candles and incense for offerings. The reason I asked Xiao Chen to burn a pile of Joss Paper in the living room was to prevent any smoke from my burning papers from being too conspicuous and drawing attention. 0

Once everything was ready, I heard the door open outside and Holy's voice: "Master Yin, please sit down; Xiao Chen will get you some water." So that was the name of the owner of the bronze mirror—Master Yin. 0

Immediately after came Master Yin's voice: "No need for such formality; I'm not here as a guest but to teach you how to be a person. Oh?" 0

Hearing him say "Oh," I knew he must have seen my Soul-Trapping Formation set up in the corner. Then came another remark: "Not bad at all; quite clever! Has the Taoist who set up this Soul-Trapping Formation arrived?" 0

Holy had just uttered a "quick" when Xiao Chen hurriedly replied, "He came earlier but left because he had something else to attend to. He said you could handle it alone, so he decided not to join us." I secretly admired Xiao Chen's cleverness for successfully preventing Holy from saying more. 0

Then Master Yin laughed heartily before there was a sound of an oil lamp crashing against the wall. My heart sank—this was bad; he must have kicked over the oil lamp. It seemed he was quite decisive. Next came some incantations along with Xiao Chen's and Holy's panicked voices: "What are you doing?" Just as I suspected, he intended to use the ghost against Holy. While what Holy did was somewhat morally questionable, it didn't warrant such severe retribution. If Holy were truly driven mad or turned into a fool because of this ghost right under my nose, it would be an unforgivable sin in my eyes. 0

I quickly took out the summoning talisman for the Five Spirits and ignited it instantly. Drawing an offering symbol in mid-air with familiar energy rising from within the formation, I hurriedly knelt down and bowed once; thus, I successfully summoned the Five Spirits. Rushing to open the door without even glancing at what was happening in the living room, I felt a gust of wind rush past me—clearly indicating that the Five Spirits were impatiently charging out. Although I couldn't see what was happening in the living room, their reaction made it clear that the ghost had been successfully released—and its malice was palpable. 0

Seeing me burst out from my room startled Master Yin; he asked incredulously, "Didn’t you say you weren’t coming?" Before I could respond, he charged toward me—clearly aware that I'd emerged and released a Five Spirit to deal with his ghost. He knew that if he subdued me first, then my Five Spirit would lose much of its power. 0

Master Yin was strong and tall, towering over me by a little. He charged in with fury in his eyes. At that moment, Holy was already lying on the ground, appearing quite weak. However, Xiao Chen was not significantly affected. As soon as he saw Master Yin rushing towards me, he immediately understood the situation and dashed over, wrapping his arms around Master Yin. Since he had taken the initiative, I decided not to hold back any longer. Seeing Xiao Chen grappling with Master Yin, I rushed over and threw a punch at his face. Unfortunately, just as I was about to kick him, he seized the opportunity and kicked me in the waist instead. I stumbled but managed to steady myself, surprised at how powerful Master Yin was. With all those muscles, it was clear he was well-trained. If it came down to a real fight, we might be able to hold him off together, but even then, we wouldn't gain much of an advantage. 0

The wind occasionally swept by us; it must have been the Five Spirits chasing the evil spirit. As long as Master Yin was here, the evil spirit couldn't escape this room. And since it was daytime outside, there was no need to worry about it getting away eventually. However, with Master Yin's assistance, it wouldn't be easy for the Five Spirits to capture it in a short time. 0

I thought to myself that if we were to engage in a serious fight with Master Yin, it might not end well for us. Besides, who knew if he had any weapons? Without further thought, I decided that our priority should be to subdue the evil spirit; if we couldn't trap it, we would have to disperse it forcefully. An evil spirit used by someone for harm wouldn't have a good ending anyway; dispersing it would be almost the same thing. 0

Seeing Xiao Chen already entangled with Master Yin on the ground, I quickly turned back to Xiao Chen's room and pulled out a small eye dropper bottle from my Cloth Bag. I performed a single-finger hand seal and dropped two drops of liquid from the bottle onto my fingers. Rubbing them over my eyes while reciting the Open Eye Spell, I then dashed back out. 0

The liquid in this eye dropper wasn't ordinary; it was given to me by my master when I first set out on my journey—Cow Tears. There's a saying: cats guide souls, dogs bark at spirits, cows see spirits, and sheep calm spirits. Using Cow Tears allows me to see souls without relying on Call of Souls techniques. However, Cow Tears are extremely precious and should only be used in dire situations. These tears aren't just any cow's tears; they come from a plow ox that has reached a certain age under strict conditions. When an old ox can no longer work the fields and is slaughtered by its owner, it knows its time has come but still sheds pure tears for its master. These tears of gratitude are among the purest substances in the world and can reveal all impurities of Evil Spirits, including evil spirits and Five Spirits. 0

After applying the Cow Tears, my eyes felt slightly gritty but not enough to hinder my vision. Within five seconds, as my eyes adjusted, I stepped out into the living room where Chen was already pinned beneath Master Yin. He held tightly onto Master Yin's waist while Holy had also gotten up from the ground and clung onto Master Yin's back with both hands around his neck. However, Holy seemed weakened from being possessed by the recently released evil spirit and could only add a bit of burden to Master Yin. Although it was two against one, neither side seemed able to gain an upper hand for now. 0

Shifting my gaze away from them, I noticed Five Spirits chasing after the evil spirit. The spirit matched their description: a female ghost in white robes with long hair. They couldn't see her face clearly, but I could—it was dirty with deep tear stains that looked more like dark blood seeping through her skin. Her chin appeared deformed as if it had fallen off and hung limply downwards; at first glance, it looked like she had a gaping mouth paired with deeply sunken eyes that made her look terrifying. 0

On the other side were Five Spirits in gray-silver armor with determined expressions that made them look quite handsome. This stark contrast prompted me to think: "Five Spirits brother, you truly have it tough chasing after such an unworthy Spirit God." 0

Although I could see them clearly now, they were unaware that I could see them too. Just like before, they darted around the room without any concern for me as they ran past me repeatedly. I scoffed softly and reached into my pocket to pull out a triangular Soul Binding Talisman while quietly waiting for the evil spirit to rush past me again. 0

At that moment, Master Yin noticed something unusual while grappling with Holy and Xiao Chen. He probably thought I intended to help him deal with them; if I did go over there, he certainly wouldn't stand a chance against me anyway. But I had no intention of helping him—after all, what if he had a weapon? Seeing him quickly chant some spells before delivering a heavy punch to Xiao Chen while elbowing Holy hard enough to knock him down made me realize he was freeing himself from their grasp. 0

Once free, he skillfully formed another hand seal and pointed in my direction just as I saw the evil spirit darting towards me at high speed—perhaps those spells were commands for the spirit to take me down first. However, this suited me perfectly since I already held a Soul Binding Talisman in my hand. 0

As the evil spirit lunged at me, I swiftly dodged aside and struck out with my talisman-bearing hand. Its speed surpassed mine and affected where I aimed; initially intending for its head but missing as it zipped past me instead—the tip of my talisman struck Female Ghost's back instead. A dull thud echoed followed by a shriek only audible to me and her master as she fell heavily onto the ground. 0

In that instant, Five Spirits closed in on her without hesitation; one stepped forward and slapped each of her wrists down firmly before she could react—her hands instinctively clasped together afterward. Then Five Spirits executed a swift kick that pinned her wrists down effectively. 0

The Female Ghost began thrashing violently on the ground but all efforts proved futile against Five Spirits' expressionless demeanor; after pinning her down securely he turned his gaze towards me as if asking what should happen next. 0

Meanwhile, Master Yin had already broken free from both restraints and climbed back up before charging towards me again. I quickly said: "Master Yin! You must have heard that scream just now; your evil spirit has been defeated! Are you sure you still want to fight? If you insist on fighting me regardless—I won't be afraid of you." 0

Upon hearing this statement from me, he surprisingly calmed down instead—pulling out a chair to sit down while catching his breath before saying: "You assist tyranny against justice; this goes against Dao Heart! The skills your master taught you are meant for aiding thieves?" 0
