Everyone knows what dreaming is, and many people have been visited by deceased loved ones in their dreams. However, most people do not pay much attention to it and do not take any action regarding these dreams. In reality, the spirits that appear in dreams are usually those with whom they had the closest relationships in life, or those they cannot let go of. If there are any unresolved matters, they will communicate through dreams, sometimes directly telling you things like they have run out of money or are feeling hungry. Other times, they may express concern or send greetings, and some will let you dream of the joyful moments you shared together in life. As the saying goes, "No one visits the Three Treasure Hall without a reason," dreaming is similar. 0

These dreams are limited; unless there is a deep emotional connection, spirits will not visit you in your dreams. If a spirit appears to you and it is not to intimidate or seek revenge, there is no need to panic. It is an honor and something to be happy about. 0

Of course, this is the general situation, and there is nothing much to say about normal dreaming. Normal dreams do not require someone like us to intervene. However, what I want to talk about today is not an ordinary dream; it is something that only a few people encounter. 0

The victim is a girl who can see ghosts. Yes, she possesses what is commonly known as the Yin-Yang Eye. The Yin-Yang Eye is a special ability in folk beliefs that allows one to see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena that others cannot perceive. Although this ability has never been scientifically verified, many still believe in its existence. Our generation grew up under Socialist Core Values, and even though we have many misunderstandings and doubts, few dare to voice them. This girl has the Yin-Yang Eye but has never dared to tell anyone; she bears this burden alone because it is something that most people cannot accept. 0

The formation of the Yin-Yang Eye is not accidental; those who possess it are usually born with it, determined by Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. Most people with the Yin-Yang Eye are pure-hearted individuals. I am unsure whether they are pure-hearted because they have the Yin-Yang Eye or if having the Yin-Yang Eye makes them pure-hearted. That purity is a consistent cleanliness, but I can affirm that most people are chosen by the Yin-Yang Eye rather than choosing it themselves. 0

This girl is no different; she has seen strange things since childhood—she has cried, laughed, and caused trouble. However, her only sorrow lies in the fact that no one believes her. As she grew older, she gradually learned to hide this secret and accept it because she told me: "Having seen the world's splendor and its fleeting nature, I realize there are many injustices and difficult truths in this world. But being able to see another world that others cannot see allows me to be more open-minded. Many people face hardships; what does it matter before life and death? When I was young, I feared being different; in my youth, I accepted being different; now, I begin to appreciate this uniqueness. Once, I witnessed someone die in a car accident; I saw their soul desperately trying to return while their wife and children were nearby, but they could not go back—no one acknowledged them. That sadness and helplessness made me incredibly strong after witnessing it just once." 0

These are some of her feelings shared with me. Since my cultivation began, I have longed for a pair of Yin-Yang Eyes because I have already touched upon this world unknown to most people. I have my professional beliefs; I want to understand this world better and see it more intuitively. Of course, this desire stems from envy, as many resist the idea of seeing ghosts. 0

Some might think it's cool or even believe that those with the Yin-Yang Eye possess spells; however, that's not true. The only difference lies in their ability to see souls—that's all there is to it. Initially, many feel fear; some even lose their Yin-Yang Eye by a certain age because they are unsuitable for long-term exposure to souls or because they do not receive acknowledgment from them. Others retain their Yin-Yang Eyes throughout their lives because they adapt and accept it. This girl is one of those who can keep her Yin-Yang Eye; her surname is Zheng, and I call her Sayo because for her, night represents another world—she is 27 years old. 0

I had known about her for quite some time; she hails from my hometown in Hunan. Since childhood, she could see many strange things and often cried about them. Her grandfather sought my master’s help for her because she frequently experienced these visions. My master knows very few individuals with the Yin-Yang Eye; Sayo is among the rare ones he mentioned to me before—I just had never met her before. She studied art and worked in Guangzhou after graduation. 0

In August 2013 during the lunar calendar's Ghost Festival, I suddenly received a call from her. The first thing she said was: "Hello, Brother Liu! Master X told me to find you; he said you are his disciple and can help me." Upon hearing this, I immediately understood what was happening—it was my master's instruction—so there was nothing more to say. I didn’t even ask what it was about but readily agreed: "Alright! It's hard to explain over the phone; let's find a place to talk." The reason for not probing further was that my master had already considered these matters for me; he knows his disciples well. 0

When we met, I discovered she was a very delicate girl—fair-skinned with long straight hair almost reaching her waist—and dressed simply yet elegantly with flawless skin that looked made-up even without cosmetics. Her bright eyes were striking; while she wasn't conventionally beautiful, she possessed an extraordinary aura about her. We met at a quiet café named "Encounter," which she chose. 0

After introducing ourselves, I realized she was indeed the girl my master had mentioned who possessed the Yin-Yang Eye. I told her I'd heard about her from my master; she replied that her grandfather had spoken of me as well. I couldn't tell if she was being humorous or if there was some truth behind it all—if not for knowing beforehand that there was something to resolve, this introduction felt like a scene from a matchmaking show on television. 0

The villagers were always talkative. After reminiscing for a while about our childhood stories, we began to discuss the matter at hand regarding our meeting. 0

Sayo worked at an internet company and often had to stay late. During the Lunar July, around the Ghost Festival, she would occasionally encounter one or two wandering souls on her way home from work. These souls always looked quite pitiful. With her Yin-Yang Eye, Sayo couldn't immediately tell that someone was a spirit; usually, she identified them by seeing a "person" that others could not. She mentioned that spirits were quite similar to humans, with only slight differences in expression. More intuitively, it was evident in their gaze; you could never tell where they were looking, which made it clear that such "people" were likely spirits. Most spirits were aware that humans could not see them. Some would notice when someone stared at them and would make requests—not by approaching directly but through dreaming. 0

Sayo had been approached in dreams several times, mostly with requests for money or assistance. The spirits would inform her in dreams about where to burn Joss Paper for them. Thus, Sayo developed a habit: whenever she dreamed of a spirit making such a request, she would comply. She didn't need to burn much Joss Paper; just a small gesture to express her goodwill sufficed. In this regard, it was somewhat akin to roadside beggars who felt satisfied with just a few coins. 0

If what she said seemed nonsensical to an ordinary person, I wouldn’t think so. Her descriptions aligned perfectly with my understanding of the Spirit World, so I nodded in agreement as she spoke more fluently, treating me as a confidant. 0

For many years, she had encountered one or two spirits asking for wealth during the Ghost Festival. However, this time was peculiar; the spirit that contacted her was not easily satisfied like before. Moreover, this occurred after the Ghost Festival had passed. The requests were not simple Joss Paper offerings; in fact, they were numerous. By the time she reached out to me, the spirit had already contacted her three times with requests, and although she complied each time, the spirit did not leave but instead intensified its demands. This left Sayo perplexed. She mentioned it to her grandfather, who suggested asking My Master for advice. Knowing she was in Guangzhou, My Master provided her with my phone number in hopes that I could help her investigate the matter. 0

I asked Sayo how she discovered this spirit and what requests it had made. 0

Sayo explained that she encountered the spirit late one night while returning home from work—around eleven o'clock—at an intersection where it sat on the roadside watching the bustling crowd, appearing helpless. As she and a colleague passed by that intersection, her colleague brushed past the spirit without noticing it at all. This confirmed to Sayo that the "person" was indeed a spirit and a pitiful one at that. After passing by, she turned back to look three times. The Spirit God noticed her gaze and that night gave her a dream where they spoke extensively. Essentially, it conveyed that it lacked fare to return home and did not know where to go next. Knowing Sayo could see it, the spirit hoped she could assist it and then showed her a very familiar scene—a small corner of a park along her route home. 0
