Master Xiao was momentarily taken aback by my sudden pull, and it wasn't until I reminded him that someone was coming that he quickly crouched behind the stone. 0

The newcomer was an old man carrying a hoe, walking barefoot along the path in front of the Tsuchiya. He passed by without any hesitation, seemingly unrelated to the spirits within the Tsuchiya. After the old man left, Master Xiao and I emerged from behind the stone. Master Xiao exclaimed, "That was thrilling, just like being in a movie." 0

I shot him a glance but remained silent, instead heading towards the Tsuchiya. Inside, everything was still calm, with only one noticeable difference: a small hole had appeared in the wall. I said, "Master Xiao, crouch down. I'll step on your shoulders to see what’s inside this room." 0

"Sure thing, go ahead," Master Xiao replied as he squatted facing the wall, supporting himself with his hands. 0

I didn't hold back; I took off my shoes and stepped onto his shoulders. His sturdy build meant I felt no wobble at all—steady as a rock. 0

With my hands on the wall for support, I slowly stood up. The hole was positioned just right for me to peek through. As I brought my eyes closer to the opening, I found nothing but darkness inside; I couldn't see anything at all. It was strange—the roof tiles of this house were dilapidated, yet the adjacent room was completely lightproof. The tiles above must have been intact. Moreover, with no light in the room and only a sliver of illumination seeping through the door crack, it was impossible to discern what lay within. 0

I rummaged through my Cloth Bag and pulled out a Flashlight, directing its beam into the hole. When the light penetrated from behind, what I saw made me shudder. Given the height and thickness of the earthen bricks, I had expected to see nothing. 0

However, as I angled the Flashlight into the hole and peered inside, it turned out to be more complex than I thought; instead of an empty space, I directly illuminated a face. 0

Indeed, a pale face stared back at me from just beyond the hole in the earthen bricks. As I looked in, it remained expressionless. Fortunately, its position was far enough back that it didn’t block my view of the opening. It was a weathered face adorned with a white headscarf and hollow eyes devoid of light. 0

"What do you see? Are you done yet? I'm about to give out!" Master Xiao shouted from below, and at that moment, the face vanished without a trace. 0

I pulled my face away from the hole and whispered down to him, "Shh! Just hold on for a bit longer." After saying that, I leaned back toward the hole again—and this time I was terrified; it wasn't just one face anymore but a row of Spirit Gods. 0

I didn’t count how many there were—there were simply too many. They weren’t at the opening but rather on the opposite wall; thus, I could see not only their faces but their entire bodies as well. Each one wore a stiff expression as they gazed at me through the small hole. They weren’t standing on the ground; instead, they were all hanging on the wall. 0

"Why do I say that? Because of the wall over there." 0

"Alright then, let's go back for lunch first. We can talk later." After I finished speaking, I took out my phone and tried to call the driver who brought us here in the morning. To my surprise, his phone was turned off. I then called Brother Zhou, hoping he could come pick us up. Brother Zhou readily agreed and said, "We'll have lunch at Xiaorou's House." 0

After Master Xiao and I descended the mountain, we waited for a while at the foot of it until Brother Zhou arrived in a van. Once we got in the car, I asked about Xiaorou. Brother Zhou replied, "When I left, both masters were already helping Xiaorou with the spirit possession. There shouldn't be any issues." 0

Master Xiao joked, "Hey Zhou, does your sister Xiaorou have a boyfriend? What do you think of me?" 0

Brother Zhou chuckled awkwardly but didn’t respond to Master Xiao’s comment. I also laughed lightly but remained silent. 0

The three of us young men found the atmosphere awkward due to Master Xiao's remark, and we fell into silence, each lost in our own thoughts. 0

... 0

The van stopped in front of Xiaorou's House. After getting out, I took a look around her home—a three-and-a-half-story red brick house with a European design. All the doors and windows were made of expensive stainless steel. Two thick columns on the right side of the first floor supported an open area inside that had a mahjong table and a pool table, along with two large bamboo swing chairs. The yard was filled with countless potted plants. A pair of large stone lions at the entrance added an impressive touch to the house. 0

"Xiaorou's family is quite wealthy," Master Xiao remarked enviously. 0

Brother Zhou replied, "Yeah, my uncle is the richest man in the village. Look, here comes my uncle." He led us toward the yard. 0

A middle-aged man in his forties approached us. He lacked the rustic charm typical of farmers and instead exuded an air of elegance, resembling both a businessman and a scholar. 0

"Uncle, these two are Master X and Master Pan's disciples, Xiao Liu and Xiao Xiao," Brother Zhou introduced us to the middle-aged man. 0

"Hello, Uncle," both Master Xiao and I said in unison. Uncle chuckled and replied, "Welcome to my home. Thank you for helping with this matter. Your master is inside; I have to step out for a bit, but I'll be back shortly to join you for dinner." After saying that, he hurried toward the black SUV parked in the yard. 0

"Your Uncle is quite strange. His daughter is possessed by a ghost, yet he has the leisure to go handle business," Master Xiao remarked bluntly. 0

Brother Zhou said, "My Uncle is a businessman; he usually has a lot on his plate. He probably has some important clients visiting. Come on, it's too sunny outside; let's head indoors." 0

Upon entering Xiaorou's House, we discovered an entirely different world inside. A large crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, and a set of high-end sectional sofas occupied the center of the living room. Behind the sofa stood a large Hunan Embroidery screen, clearly handmade and likely worth several thousand dollars. At that moment, Master Pan, Xiaorou, Master Zhang, and Master Li were all seated in various spots on the sofa, engaged in conversation. Next to Xiaorou stood a woman in her forties or fifties, presumably her mother. 0

Xiaorou's complexion had improved significantly; she no longer bore the pale face of someone recently possessed. Upon seeing us enter, she smiled and stood up, saying, "Brothers, you're back! Mom, we can start preparing the meal now." 0
