A gust of cold wind blew towards me, causing my body to tense up. My vision gradually blurred, and I couldn't tell what method it had used. Instinctively, I raised my left hand to shield my head. The Blood Curse drawn on my left hand made me unafraid of its Yin Qi.
A fleeting sensation of electric shock coursed through me, but it wasn't too intense. I realized that my hand had blocked its chains, and in that moment, I felt as if the chains had been deflected. My previously blurry vision suddenly became clear.
What I saw before me left me momentarily stunned. In just that brief moment, I saw a Spirit God dressed in Funeral Garment pouncing on the Imposter Yincai. This Spirit God, clad in Funeral Garment, must have been the one that had rushed past me on the right just moments ago.
Without hesitation, seizing this heavenly opportunity, I tightly grasped the Ink Fight Line and dashed towards the still-recovering Imposter Yincai. My right hand circled around its neck, tightening the grip. It let out a furious roar and swatted away the Death Spirit that was clinging to it. Roaring and struggling, I held onto the Ink Fight Line and said with my knee pressed against it, "I just thought of a way to make you suffer."
At that moment, I was a bit confused about what I meant. I directly asked it, "Whatever method you've got, just use it. There's no point in making threats here." Immediately after saying that, I regretted it; wasn't I trying to buy time? Provoking it like this clearly contradicted my strategic plan. What a foolish move.
As expected, no sooner had the words left my mouth than it let out a cold snort and floated into the air. I looked up at it, unsure of its intentions. However, judging by its demeanor, this was likely not going to be a simple matter. I held my breath and focused, preparing for the impending storm.
At that moment, Liu Bi had already settled Mu Xue's Living Soul, presumably placing it back inside the Oiled Paper Umbrella. Holding the umbrella, he walked up behind me.
"What do you think this guy is trying to do?" I asked aloud.
Liu Bi replied, "I don't know; it's hard to read. But it looks quite formidable. You should be careful."
I nodded and shouted at the hovering fake Spirit God, "What exactly are you planning? Do you think I'm too weak to fly?"
It laughed heartily and said, "You'll find out soon enough; there's no need to rush to your death." It pulled out something resembling a wooden box from its pocket and placed the iron chains inside as if performing a magic trick. I was puzzled because the box was small—only about a third of the size of the chains—how could it possibly fit them inside?
While I was still trying to wrap my head around this strange occurrence, it closed the wooden box and shouted loudly as it swung its arms forcefully.
A sudden chill swept through the surroundings, causing me to shiver uncontrollably. Liu Bi, however, seemed unaffected, stepping in front of me with a determined stride. But the cold wind was coming from all directions, and it was impossible for him to block it. Not only did he fail to shield me from the wind, but he also obscured my line of sight.
Not being able to see the enemy was a critical disadvantage. I anxiously said, "Liu Bi, move aside! Are you helping me or it?"
At first, he seemed taken aback, but after a moment of realization, he hurriedly floated away, apologizing as he positioned himself behind me. The instant he left my side, the fake Spirit God hovering in the air lunged at me with renewed vigor. Just as I was about to curse and make a run for it, an even stronger gust of wind hit me head-on, making it impossible to move.
This was the first time I had encountered such a powerful wind; it was definitely not a good sign. Yet I felt utterly helpless, waiting for the impending disaster to strike. In an instant, my body jolted violently as an immense pressure descended upon me, pinning me to the ground. A sharp pain gripped my chest, and I felt a warm rush in my throat as I coughed up internal blood. Before I could even spit it out, my muscles tightened uncontrollably, and I began to convulse on the ground as if I were having a seizure.
In that moment, aside from my thoughts, it felt like my entire body was beyond my control. I thrashed and rolled about helplessly while Liu Bi rushed over, but there was nothing he could do. He merely circled around me anxiously. I opened my mouth to scream but no sound came out. Panic set in as I suddenly recalled something that had happened to me many times before—only this kind of thing had always happened to my victims. I never expected that the tides would turn; this time it was my turn to suffer.
