"Do you know the details about Wang Kun's father? His name, where he lived, Birth Chart, the cemetery address, and so on..." I asked. 0

Officer Luo replied, "I need to check that out, but Birth Chart is a bit tricky. The other information is easier to find. What do you need all this for?" 0

I said, "To summon his spirit." 0

Officer Luo drove in silence for a moment before asking, "Can you summon without the Birth Chart?" 0

I shook my head and replied, "Then we can only find his exact location. Without the Birth Chart, it's impossible to summon him. If we really can't get it, we'll have to look for his soul instead." 0

"Where do we look? Should we go to his Tomb Mound?" Officer Luo continued to inquire. 0

I said, "I don't think Wang Kun's father will necessarily be at the Tomb Mound. Of course, if you don't have the Birth Chart, I can only try my luck at his Tomb Mound." 0

"Alright then, but we can't check anything now since it's after hours. I'll let you know tomorrow. Let's grab some late-night snacks," Officer Luo suggested. 0

I agreed, saying, "Sure, just take me back to your office first; my car is still there." 0

After having some late-night snacks and drinking quite a bit, we were both slightly tipsy. Officer Luo suggested booking a hotel room nearby for me to stay in, but I said I preferred going home. In the end, he called two designated drivers. 0

The next afternoon, Officer Luo called me with news. He informed me that Wang Kun's father had always lived in his hometown in Fujian, passed away there, and was buried there as well. They hadn't been able to find anything about the Birth Chart. He asked me what to do next and whether we should make a trip to Fujian. 0

I immediately replied, "There's no need to go looking; it wouldn't be meaningful. If his spirit is here, going back to Fujian won't change anything. First, write down the address where Wang Kun was arrested; we'll check that out." 0

He agreed and asked when we should go. 0

I said we could go whenever he had time, but I would need a Reward for this. 0

He laughed and said, "Don't worry; as long as we can resolve this, your Reward is guaranteed. I have something to take care of this afternoon; let's visit Wang Kun's house tonight. I'll text you his address shortly." 0

Not long after hanging up, I received a message from Officer Luo, which included Wang Kun's address and mentioned he would arrive around eight o'clock. 0

At eight that evening, I arrived punctually at the entrance of the community where Wang Kun lived. Officer Luo was already waiting there. When he saw me approach, he greeted the security guard and got into my car. Following his directions and making several turns brought us to an old five-story residential building. 0

As Officer Luo got out of the car, he said, "He lives alone in that house, and I've managed to get his key." 0

The police are reliable in their work. I grabbed the Cloth Bag and got out of the car, heading with Officer Luo to a door on the third floor. As he opened the door, he said, "Don't be fooled by how old this place looks; it's in a good location, and the property prices aren't cheap. This bastard managed to buy a house in just a few years by selling drugs on the side, and he's just a small fry. Just think about how profitable this business must be." 0

I laughed and asked if he was tempted as well. 0

He spat and replied, "All that money comes from other people's hard work, and some of it even leads to families being ruined. I wish all those involved in this business would just disappear. So, if you can help expose the gang behind him, who knows how many families you could save?" Officer Luo began lecturing me about justice. 0

When he opened the door, a foul odor wafted out. Officer Luo turned on the light and surveyed the living room, frowning slightly. 0

The living room was a complete mess, with trash scattered everywhere—food waste, household garbage, cigarette butts, and syringes were particularly abundant. There were even used condoms carelessly thrown on the floor. 0

In such a room, I wouldn't want to step inside unless absolutely necessary. But with matters at hand, I had no choice but to go in. For safety's sake, I took out a sealing talisman from my bag, slapped it on the door, and then closed it. 0

Officer Luo watched my actions and asked me to put one on him as well. 0

I pulled out a compass and said it wasn't needed; it was uncertain whether we would even find anything inside. 0

As soon as I took out the compass, I sensed something unusual. Clearly, there had been Spirit Gods in this house recently or perhaps one was still present because the compass was vibrating quite strongly. 0

Holding the compass tightly with both hands, I slowly walked into the living room, following its direction until I reached a small room's door. This room seemed to be a bathroom or Storage Room of some sort. The door was closed and locked from the inside; no amount of twisting would open it. 0

Officer Luo quietly asked if someone was inside. I nodded and said, "But this door is locked. Don't you have a key to check?" 0

The lock was one of those spherical types that could be locked from the inside by pressing down; outside required a key. Officer Luo replied, "There's only one key for the main door; he doesn't have any other keys on him." 0

I twisted it a few more times when Officer Luo said, "Let me try." I didn't know when he had pulled out a thin wire; he deftly twisted one end into a small circle and inserted it into the keyhole. 0

I said, "If you can't open it, I'll try Call of Souls." Just as I finished speaking, I saw Officer Luo grin and say, "Less than ten seconds." I gave him a thumbs up and teased, "You weren't a thief before becoming a cop, were you?" 0

He scoffed and stepped aside. 0

With a twist of my hands, the door opened. There was no switch outside this room; it must be inside. As soon as I stepped into this room, I felt familiar coldness enveloping me; I could even sense that there was indeed a Spirit God nearby. 0

Instinctively, I quickly shoved the compass back into my bag and grabbed a handful of cinnabar-infused incense ash from my bag. I swiftly closed the door behind me and placed another sealing talisman on it. Outside, Officer Luo quietly asked, "What’s going on?" 0

I didn't have time to respond to him because I realized that once the door closed, it was pitch black inside, and I couldn't see anything. As I concentrated on my surroundings, I used my left hand to feel along the wall by the door, trying to locate the light switch. 0

However, when I touched the wall, I felt a wave of nausea wash over me. The wall was not dry and smooth like a typical wall; instead, it was damp and had a somewhat fuzzy texture. 0

After about a minute of groping around, I finally encountered something that felt like a switch. I quickly pressed it, and the lights in the room flickered on. The moment I saw the state of the room, an overwhelming urge to leave surged within me. 0

This room was neither a bathroom nor a storage room. There was only a rectangular table inside, and what lay upon it filled me with anger. A skull rested on the table, pierced through by a long iron sword, firmly nailed down. Scattered across the tabletop were several teeth that had fallen from the skull. A layer of red cinnabar powder covered the surface. Beneath the table lay a skeleton that was clearly human, but it was missing its hands and feet. 0

As I wondered how it could be missing its limbs, I noticed that what had initially puzzled me on the wall were actually hand and foot bones. These bones were divided into many pieces, each one nailed to the wall with long iron spikes. Once white, they were now mottled and discolored, with patches of thick mold growing on some areas. The fuzzy thing I had touched earlier turned out to be one of those moldy spots. In the corner of the room lay several yellow talismans scattered about haphazardly, their purpose unclear. 0

I felt no fear in my heart; only anger surged within me because I thought about how miserable the owner of this skeleton must have been. I couldn't understand why someone would treat a skeleton in such a horrific manner. I even questioned whether this skeleton had come in as just a corpse, yet there was no foul smell of decay in the air. 0

Seeing that I remained silent for too long, Officer Luo outside knocked on the door and asked what was wrong... 0
