I didn't open the door; I just called out to Officer Luo to wait a moment because I wasn't sure if there was a Spirit God inside. 0

Hearing my response, Officer Luo outside stopped knocking. I took out my compass and continued to observe. A supernatural reaction was clearly indicated by the needle, confirming that there was indeed a Spirit God in this room. However, I couldn't determine if this was the same Spirit God that had escaped from Shao Xiaohuai's funeral that day. 0

What I was certain of was that this Spirit God was related to the skeleton, and it definitely had a significant connection to Wang Kun. Wang Kun had mentioned that it was his father who strangled Shao Xiaohuai, but then he also said that he himself had not killed Shao Xiaohuai but rather his father. Could this Spirit God be his father? 0

I glanced at the compass again; the Spirit God remained in place, hardly moving, but its emotions seemed unstable, as if it were repeatedly attempting something it couldn't accomplish. I opened the small room's door and tore down the talisman I had previously affixed to it. I was preparing to set up a Soul Calling Array in the living room; this soul didn't seem inclined to escape just yet. 0

As soon as I opened the door, I saw Officer Luo peering inside. I sidestepped him and headed straight for the living room. He suddenly exclaimed behind me, asking what was going on and whether those skeletons were real or props. 0

I replied, "Of course they're real; there's even a ghost inside. I'm planning to call it out." 0

Upon hearing that I intended to perform the Call of Souls, Officer Luo quickly said, "Should I step back? Maybe I should just avoid this." 0

I looked up at him jokingly and asked, "What, have you never seen a ghost?" 0

He nodded and replied, "No, I've never really seen one. My grandfather used to tell me stories about them, but I've never encountered a real ghost. I'm afraid I might not handle it well." 0

I said, "Alright then, if you're scared, you can step back. But opportunities like this are rare." 0

Hearing this, Officer Luo straightened up and declared, "Who says I'm scared? I've handled so many cases; why would I be afraid of encountering one? I'm upright and steady; I've never done anything wrong. My grandfather always said that if you don't do anything bad, you won't fear ghosts knocking at your door. Today, I want to see what a ghost really looks like." After his bold declaration, he hesitantly asked, "Is there any danger involved?" 0

While arranging the Soul Calling Array on the ground, I answered, "There's no danger at all. If there were any danger, I'd be running away too; just stand aside and watch." 0

Officer Luo nodded and moved aside but still asked uneasily, "Should I bring something for protection?" 0

To reassure him, I casually pulled out a talisman from my Cloth Bag and handed it to him, saying, "Just take this; it's said to ward off evil spirits." In truth, I didn't even know what kind of talisman it was; my only goal was to put his mind at ease. 0

He quickly took the talisman and stepped aside, falling silent. 0

After setting up the Soul Calling Array, I immediately began the Call of Souls. It didn't take much effort before a hunched Spirit God appeared, bowing its head and swaying slightly in the center of the array. Its mood was poor; it wasn't calm within the array but seemed intent on returning to that small room. The Soul Calling Array was not a Soul-Trapping Formation; it couldn't confine the Spirit God. If it was determined to go back to that small room, I couldn't stop it. 0

I hurriedly pulled out a Soul Fixation Talisman from my bag and pressed it onto its shoulder. It shuddered all over and slowly raised its head to look at me. 0

It stared at me, and I stared back. Suddenly, I noticed that this Spirit God bore some resemblance to Wang Kun. I asked Officer Luo, "Officer Luo, take a look—doesn't this ghost look like Wang Kun? Could it be his father?" 0

Officer Luo hesitated and replied, "If you say it looks alike, then it does." 0

I was puzzled by his response and turned to see that this wise and valiant Officer Luo had his eyes tightly shut, refusing to open them. 0

Speechless, I walked up to him and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "Officer Luo, open your eyes and see for yourself whether it looks alike or not. You said you weren't afraid, tsk tsk." 0

Under my teasing, Officer Luo slowly opened his eyes. After barely cracking them open for a moment, he quickly shut them again. I sighed and said, "Are you going to solve this case or not?" 0

This time, Officer Luo suddenly opened his eyes wide and began scrutinizing the Spirit God I had placed a talisman on. After a few seconds, he quickly said, "It looks like him; it's just that the skin is too pale. What normal person has skin this white?" 0

I replied, "Ghosts are like that; you'll get used to it. This Wang Kun is really something else—after his father died, he still wouldn't let go and even dug up the skeleton to nail it in his house." 0

Officer Luo gradually calmed down and asked with confusion, "How do you know that skeleton in that room belongs to him?" 0

I said confidently, "It must be his." After saying that, I walked over to the Spirit God again, trying to communicate with it. However, it showed no reaction and kept trying to move toward the small room. 0

"What is it doing? Can't it speak?" Officer Luo asked in a whisper so soft I could barely hear him. 0

I replied, "It wants to resolve its Obsession. Once it breaks free from the Obsession, we should be able to communicate." 0

"Then what is its Obsession? Let's help him resolve it quickly," Officer Luo said anxiously, seemingly eager to end this matter as soon as possible. 0

I nodded and raised my hand to tear off the Soul Fixation Talisman. In an instant, the Spirit God dashed into the small room, its Soul growing fainter. By the time it reached the doorway, it had completely turned transparent. 0

I hurried to the entrance of the small room, and Officer Luo followed closely behind, peering inside before asking, "Where's the ghost?" 0

I replied that it was still inside; we just couldn't see it. 0

"How can we see it?" Officer Luo grabbed my arm urgently. 0

With no other choice, I took a small vial of cow tears from my Cloth Bag, dropped two drops onto the pad of my middle finger, and said to Officer Luo, "Don't blink." 0

Officer Luo nodded, and I flicked a drop onto each of his eyes before casting a Hand Spell on his forehead. Then I opened my own eyes as well because I was curious to see what this Spirit God was up to. 0

Once my eyes were opened, I could clearly see the Spirit God standing in front of the table, its hands gripping a skull tightly. It was pulling with all its might, but the skull was firmly nailed to the table by an Iron Sword, and it couldn't budge it at all. Despite this, it mechanically repeated the action, continuously fiddling with the skull. 0

Officer Luo nudged me with his elbow and asked, "Is this what it wants to resolve—its Obsession?" 0

I nodded and stepped into the small room. I knew that this Iron Sword had been enchanted, so it was untouchable. Approaching the desk, I forcefully pulled out the rusty Iron Sword. The skull came away with it, and suddenly the Spirit God became agitated, preparing to lunge at me. I recited a passage from Soul Requiem as I removed the skull from the Iron Sword and gently placed it back on the desk. 0

Seeing that the skull had been freed, it bent down and began to stroke the skull slowly with both hands. I turned to Officer Luo and said, "Help me out; bring those Skeleton pieces from the wall over to the table." 0

Officer Luo nodded and picked up a rusty Dual-purpose Hammer from beside the door, preparing to pull out a Long Iron Nail from the wall. Before he started working, he said, "Let's protect the scene first." 0

"Is this scene useful for you? Can you discern anything from it?" I asked skeptically. 0

After a moment's thought, Officer Luo nodded and began removing each Long Iron Nail from the wall one by one while placing each piece of Hand and Foot Bones onto the table. 0

Officer Luo, although initially frightened when starting to watch the Spirit God, adapted quickly and worked efficiently without hesitation. 0

I bent down to prepare to move the Skeleton from under the table onto it. After moving one Skeleton aside, I discovered many tiny bones beneath it; upon closer inspection, they appeared to be chicken bones. 0

When we placed all the Skeletons on the table without leaving any behind, the Spirit God suddenly paused, turned to look at me and Officer Hu, then knelt down before us. 0

"Wow," Officer Hu said, turning to me. "What does this mean? Is it thanking us?" 0

I nodded and replied, "Yes, it seems its Obsession has been lifted. Let me see if I can communicate with it." 0

I slowly approached the Spirit God and said, "Please get up." Then I took an incense holder from my Cloth Bag and placed it on the table, lighting three sticks of Incense. 0

"Thank you..." it said in a very stiff manner as it gradually stood up. 0
