"Do you know what this is useful for?"
Wang Chao sat down across from Jiang Liu, looking at him with confusion while casually ordering another cup of coffee.
"Do you really like coffee that much?" Jiang Liu asked, puzzled.
"I don't like it. What's the problem?"
"If you don't like it, why did you order another cup?"
"Isn't this your treat? If it's free, why not drink it?" Wang Chao finished the remaining coffee in his cup and sighed before continuing, "We made a deal last night. I'm responsible for the recording, and you're covering this meal."
Jiang Liu was completely speechless at Wang Chao, unsure of how to describe him. After a moment, he said, "Although this clue isn't very helpful to us right now, it can give us a bit of confidence."
"I don't understand what you mean," Wang Chao shook his head, signaling Jiang Liu to clarify.
"Look at Jia Ren. Is he an ordinary person? By 'ordinary,' I mean someone different from us."

Wang Chao flipped through Jiang Liu's notes while responding, "That's true, but have you considered that there were over thirty students in Jia Ren's class at the beginning, and he was the only one who survived? That ratio is just too extreme."
"I've thought about it, which is why I came up with another hypothesis." Jiang Liu finished his coffee and suddenly asked Wang Chao, "Have you ever suspected Jia Ren?"

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Wang Chao's mind. He felt there was something wrong with his previous thoughts. After thinking for a long time, he exclaimed in surprise to Jiang Liu, "I got it! I know why Jia Ren was able to survive!"

Wang Chao quickly shared his earlier thoughts with Jiang Liu. After listening, Jiang Liu looked at him oddly and said, "Your question is a dead end; it doesn't make sense at all."

"Why not?"
"Because I'm not like you. Just like at the beginning; if it weren't for your habit of keeping a diary..." Suddenly, Jiang Liu's expression changed as he looked at Wang Chao in surprise. "Do you know what I'm thinking right now?" Wang Chao said, shaking Jiang Liu's notebook with a smile.
"Of course I do. We should ask Jia Ren for his old belongings next," Jiang Liu replied, frowning slightly. "But what excuse should we use to ask Jia Ren for his personal items?"
"I have no idea. Just getting to this point is already impressive for me."
Before Wang Chao could finish his sentence, a sudden loud noise erupted, startling both of them.
"What’s going on? Is there a shootout?" Wang Chao instinctively asked.
"Are you kidding? This is Huaxia; can a shootout really happen here?" Jiang Liu glanced at Wang Chao helplessly and then looked through the glass to observe the situation outside the café. He speculated, "That sound might be from some kind of car accident."
"Are you joking? The road is so narrow that cars can only move slowly. What kind of accident could possibly make such a huge noise?"
Jiang Liu thought about it as well. The café they chose was located on a narrow road; although cars passed by, they were all moving slowly. Even if someone were to get hit or if two cars collided, it wouldn't produce the kind of sound they just heard.
