"Do you know what this is useful for?" 0

Wang Chao sat down across from Jiang Liu, looking at him with confusion while casually ordering another cup of coffee. 0

"Do you really like coffee that much?" Jiang Liu asked, puzzled. 0

"I don't like it. What's the problem?" 0

"If you don't like it, why did you order another cup?" 0

"Isn't this your treat? If it's free, why not drink it?" Wang Chao finished the remaining coffee in his cup and sighed before continuing, "We made a deal last night. I'm responsible for the recording, and you're covering this meal." 0

Jiang Liu was completely speechless at Wang Chao, unsure of how to describe him. After a moment, he said, "Although this clue isn't very helpful to us right now, it can give us a bit of confidence." 0

"I don't understand what you mean," Wang Chao shook his head, signaling Jiang Liu to clarify. 0

"Look at Jia Ren. Is he an ordinary person? By 'ordinary,' I mean someone different from us." 0

"You mean in terms of supernatural events?" 0

"Exactly." Jiang Liu handed his notebook to Wang Chao and continued, "From another perspective, even someone as ordinary as Jia Ren has survived a supernatural event and lived in Classroom 000 for four years. Not to mention people like us who are somewhat familiar with the rules of these events." 0

Wang Chao flipped through Jiang Liu's notes while responding, "That's true, but have you considered that there were over thirty students in Jia Ren's class at the beginning, and he was the only one who survived? That ratio is just too extreme." 0

"I've thought about it, which is why I came up with another hypothesis." Jiang Liu finished his coffee and suddenly asked Wang Chao, "Have you ever suspected Jia Ren?" 0

"Jia Ren? Why would I suspect him? He doesn't remember anything," Wang Chao replied, somewhat confused. 0

"Think about it carefully. Just like you mentioned earlier, in a class of over thirty students, why is it that only Jia Ren survived?" 0

"Luck? No, if it were just luck, then it wouldn't make sense that he was the only one left alive in the entire class." Wang Chao frowned in thought. "If it's not luck, then it means that when he was the last one remaining in the class, he found a way to break the curse." 0

"Bingo, then let's continue our reasoning." Jiang Liu took back the notebook and flipped to a few pages earlier. "Earlier, when I asked him if he had any impressions of the other classmates, he confidently replied that he did. However, when I asked him to describe the appearances of the other classmates in detail, he couldn't remember." 0

"So I changed my question and asked him about unforgettable events in class, but he told me that he was a reclusive person and didn't participate much in class activities, so he had no impressions. What do you think about this?" 0

"What do you mean, what do I think? It's obvious that some supernatural force interfered with his memory," Wang Chao replied impatiently. "Weren't we also subjected to memory alteration at the beginning of this incident?" 0

"Yes, we were previously subjected to memory alteration, but I want to ask you why we haven't noticed any signs of memory alteration like that now?" 0

Upon hearing this question, Wang Chao hesitated for a moment and thought for a long time before responding uncertainly, "Isn't it because we are Escapers?" 0

"That might be the case, but let's assume that only Escapers are not affected by the supernatural forces in this incident. How did Jia Ren escape from Classroom 000? Have you thought about that?" 0

Wang Chao opened his mouth but couldn't articulate a response. 0

Jiang Liu's question clearly led to a dead end. If only Escapers were unaffected by the supernatural forces in this incident, then Jia Ren was different from them; he was clearly not an Escaper. Therefore, when Jia Ren experienced the supernatural event, he wouldn't have been able to notice the bizarre phenomena in the classroom. Just like when Jiang Liu and Wang Chao first entered Classroom 000; if it weren't for Wang Chao's habit of keeping a diary, they might not have realized the supernatural event until now. 0

Wait! Something seems off! 0

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Wang Chao's mind. He felt there was something wrong with his previous thoughts. After thinking for a long time, he exclaimed in surprise to Jiang Liu, "I got it! I know why Jia Ren was able to survive!" 0

"What? What do you understand?" This time it was Jiang Liu who looked puzzled. 0

Wang Chao quickly shared his earlier thoughts with Jiang Liu. After listening, Jiang Liu looked at him oddly and said, "Your question is a dead end; it doesn't make sense at all." 0

"I know, which is why I suddenly thought of another possibility." Wang Chao excitedly presented another hypothesis to Jiang Liu: "Let's make an assumption; what if we are not Escapers? Do you think we would notice the curse of Classroom 000?" 0

"If we are not Escapers..." Jiang Liu pondered for a moment and replied uncertainly, "I don't know if you would notice, but I probably wouldn't." 0

"Why not?" 0

"Because I'm not like you. Just like at the beginning; if it weren't for your habit of keeping a diary..." Suddenly, Jiang Liu's expression changed as he looked at Wang Chao in surprise. "Do you think that the force altering memories actually doesn't alter the memories of those who notice something is wrong?" 0

"That's right! This is the only way to explain why only the two of us in the class, after discovering the strange occurrences, have not had our memories altered." 0

"Exactly, given this, the possibility is quite high. This is good news for both of us," Jiang Liu nodded in agreement. 0

"Do you know what I'm thinking right now?" Wang Chao said, shaking Jiang Liu's notebook with a smile. 0

"Of course I do. We should ask Jia Ren for his old belongings next," Jiang Liu replied, frowning slightly. "But what excuse should we use to ask Jia Ren for his personal items?" 0

"I have no idea. Just getting to this point is already impressive for me." 0

Before Wang Chao could finish his sentence, a sudden loud noise erupted, startling both of them. 0

"What’s going on? Is there a shootout?" Wang Chao instinctively asked. 0

"Are you kidding? This is Huaxia; can a shootout really happen here?" Jiang Liu glanced at Wang Chao helplessly and then looked through the glass to observe the situation outside the café. He speculated, "That sound might be from some kind of car accident." 0

"Are you joking? The road is so narrow that cars can only move slowly. What kind of accident could possibly make such a huge noise?" 0

Jiang Liu thought about it as well. The café they chose was located on a narrow road; although cars passed by, they were all moving slowly. Even if someone were to get hit or if two cars collided, it wouldn't produce the kind of sound they just heard. 0
