My Tenant is a Female Ghost
Bai Zhuo was not naive enough to underestimate the power of the Miaojiang Gu Clan; rather, he understood that without allies, he would be facing a 1v14 situation. He believed that these delicate young women were far from harmless as they appeared. The group of Thai Shamans originally consisted of four men and one woman, but with one man missing, it was likely he had fallen victim to these Miaojiang Girls.
Kagura Keiha, embodying the personality of Lepai, called out to Bai Zhuo, "Hey, Bai Zhuo! Your good friends and your senior brother are over here! How can you forget your friends for the sake of beauty? Come over here!" Bai Zhuo looked up and pretended not to recognize him.
The Thai Sorcerers seemed displeased with Bai Zhuo. The leader took the initiative to attack, drinking something strange before suddenly spitting it out. A yellow mist immediately filled the air. Zhu Man shouted, "Everyone be careful! This is the Soul Confusion Spell from the Oil Drop; don't inhale it!" With that, she took a deep breath and retreated with her sisters. Bai Zhuo was no fool either; he inhaled deeply and quickly held his breath as he retreated.
"Yin and Yang separated, evil spirits retreat! Barrier, Urgent Command!" Zheng Ming made no significant movements but lightly tapped the coffin beside him. The Sophora Wood Coffin opened slightly, and an eerie glow rapidly spread from within, enveloping him and Kagura Keiha while keeping the yellow mist at bay.
On Zhu Cong's side, the foreigner was equally unyielding. The older foreigner picked up the Silver Cross from his back and slammed it onto the ground with a thud. An invisible force swirled around the cross, pushing away the encroaching yellow mist that could not approach Zhu Cong and the others. It was unclear how he achieved this.
Bai Zhuo and the five Miaojiang Girls found themselves in a precarious situation as the yellow mist seemed almost alive, continuously creeping closer to them, forcing them to retreat further while provoking laughter from the Sorcerers.
Zhu Man recalled her two sisters who had died in humiliation and felt furious. Ignoring the dangers of the Soul Confusion Spell, she pulled out a delicate vessel from her pocket.
Zhu Man opened the lid, and Bai Zhuo noticed that inside was a long, emerald-green snake coiled up. As it awakened from its slumber and saw Zhu Man, it flicked its tongue and quickly wrapped itself around her arm, even rubbing its head against her palm affectionately! In this vast world full of wonders, Bai Zhuo would never have believed that a snake could bond so closely with a person until he witnessed it himself.
"Qing, go bite those bad people!"
The green snake understood its master's intent and sensed Zhu Man's anger. It bared its sharp fangs and hissed at the Sorcerers before swiftly darting into the nearby bushes.
Upon seeing Zhu Man's actions, the four Sorcerers immediately went on high alert and activated their Soul Confusion Spell as they approached Bai Zhuo and the others.
On the other side, Zhu Cong and Zheng Ming were finally unable to hold back and started fighting.
“Kagura Keiha, I leave Zhu Cong to you. I'll handle these two foreigners!”
“Hey, hey, you think too highly of me… Fine… Zhu Cong-kun, go easy on me!”
“Heh heh…” Zhu Cong chuckled, his expression shifting as he cursed, “Crazy!” He then threw out two red mid-level talismans, shooting them towards Kagura Keiha. Kagura Keiha silently recited a spell, “Zinc Seed Bow, arrows come!”
To Zhu Cong's astonishment, Kagura Keiha conjured a long bow out of thin air. With an eerie glow, three wooden arrows were nocked onto the bowstring. Kagura Keiha revealed a confident smile and lightly pulled back the right hand holding the arrow fletching. “Demon-Breaking Arrow!” With a whoosh, the three wooden arrows flew towards the talismans shot by Zhu Cong. Two arrows accurately struck the talismans, pinning them firmly to the ground, while the third arrow shot straight towards Zhu Cong's head.
Unexpectedly, Zhu Cong did not dodge or evade; he allowed the arrow to approach him. Just as Kagura Keiha thought victory was assured and prepared to mock Zheng Ming, the arrow suddenly stilled in mid-air before Zhu Cong!
Zhu Cong reached out and gently plucked the “stilled” arrow from the air, playing with it in his palm. “Ah, I didn’t expect that I, the illustrious Young Master of the Zhu Family, would be seen through. Did you think I was that mixed-breed like Leng Xuanhe? Heh heh, you are sorely mistaken!”
“Ghost Servant?” Kagura Keiha’s demeanor shifted from carefree to serious as her expression hardened. “Such dense Yin Qi! I knew it!”

Meanwhile, Zheng Ming was locked in a fierce battle with the two blonde foreigners. His physical strength was astonishing as he swung a massive Sophora Wood Coffin, and with the aid of talismans, the two foreigners were gradually falling behind!
On another front, Bai Zhuo and five Miaojiang Girls had no defensive means and were being pushed back by several Sorcerers. In her heart, Bai Zhuo communicated with Ghost Servant and Phantom Sparrow, but Phantom Sparrow indicated it could not help at all. One younger girl couldn’t help but speak up: “Sister, hasn’t Qing found an opportunity yet? If not, let my Golden Silkworm come!”
Zhu Man quickly shook her head. “Qing is a formidable fellow; once it makes a move, it will hit for sure. Just hold on a little longer. Qi, your Golden Silkworm is too domineering; you can’t control it yet. Just hang in there! Fifth Sister, prepare for action!”
“Understood, Second Sister! Sisters, cover your mouths!”
Bai Zhuo was not one of the "sisters," but she wasn't foolish either. She tightly covered her mouth and took a step back.
Fifth Sister pulled a packet of powder from her pocket, grabbed a handful of gray powder, and gently blew it into the air. The sisters all quickly covered their mouths, sealing them shut.
The yellow mist began to dissipate slowly upon encountering the gray powder; this was the principle of using poison against poison! It was clear that the powder had potent properties.
The Sorcerers, who had inherited their craft from the Miaojiang Gu Clan in Yunnan, were well aware of the dangers posed by the Miasma. They too covered their mouths to prevent any chance for the Miasma to enter. Unfortunately, they did not notice the hidden azure light lurking in the shadows. With a hiss, a blue serpent struck like a flash of lightning at the leading Sorcerer. He managed to cover his mouth in time to avoid screaming, narrowly dodging the serpent's bite. However, the Female Sorceress behind him was not so fortunate. In the sweltering summer heat, everyone wore shorts and short-sleeved shirts. The serpent's sharp fangs sank deep into her leg, instantly injecting venom potent enough to be lethal! The Female Sorceress cried out in pain and loosened her grip on her mouth. The gray powdery Miasma rushed in like bees drawn to sweet honey, flooding into her mouth!
In mere moments, the serpent's venom took effect. The Female Sorceress's skin turned pitch black as she clutched her neck and collapsed to the ground. Soon after, her skin began to rot away as if devoured by army ants, leaving behind nothing but a skeleton! Bai Zhuo's pupils dilated in shock; she started to regret collaborating with these Miaojiang Girls!
