Bai Zhuo had committed murder, and murder was a crime. “Just tell him Bai Zhuo needs to speak with him and ask him to call me back.”
“Alright, sir, I will relay your message.” The secretary hung up but then sneered softly to herself: “That name sounds somewhat familiar… But who do you think you are to call Chairman Huang by his name? You think he’ll come running just because you need something? Ridiculous…” The new secretary chuckled behind Bai Zhuo’s back before returning to her phone.
However, after some thought, she picked up Huang Jiangliu’s phone to take a look. She noticed that in the call log on Huang Jiangliu’s phone, there was only one entry: “Bai Zhuo,” with no other details.
She browsed through the contacts and found that all of them had prefixes like “Chairman of Such-and-Such Group” or “Manager Wang,” except for Bai Zhuo’s contact, which was simply listed as “Bai Zhuo” without any description.
The secretary hesitated. Chairman Huang was a very meticulous boss who treated his subordinates kindly and never acted inappropriately towards female employees. She cherished this hard-earned job. However, she recalled that last month there had been a major restructuring in the company that led to many long-time employees being dismissed; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to become Chairman Huang's secretary! Not wanting to lose her job, she thought through some details and gave her cheeks a firm slap while muttering to herself: “Yun, you really need to change your narrow-minded attitude! You’re now Chairman Huang’s secretary; you need to be more serious about your work and be as meticulous as Chairman Huang!”
The secretary took a deep breath and knocked solemnly on the door of the Conference Hall before stepping inside. An old shareholder of the company cast a displeased glance at the secretary who had interrupted the meeting and muttered, "No respect for the rules!"
Upon hearing this, the secretary's face turned pale, anxiety gnawed at her heart, but at this point, there was no turning back. She steeled herself, lifted her chin, and approached Huang Jiangliu with a composed demeanor. Bowing slightly, she said, "Mr. Huang, a Mr. Bai Zhuo called for you. It seems urgent, so I came in to inform you..."

Sure enough, within twenty minutes, Huang Jiangliu called again.

"I'm in Room 707 of the Intensive Care Unit; just come up."

The suited subordinates picked up a larger device and aimed it at the listening devices. They heard several faint explosions as the expensive devices, worth thousands or even tens of thousands, were reduced to scrap metal.
One bespectacled subordinate spoke up, "Boss, Mr. Bai, I noticed something unusual about this lady..."
Bai Zhuo replied, "I knew there was something!"

"I killed someone," Bai Zhuo replied calmly.
Huang Jiangliu's heart skipped a beat; however, being a seasoned individual, he suppressed his surprise and said, "You all can leave for now." He turned to Liu Yun and instructed, "Liu, close the door."
Once everyone had exited, Huang Jiangliu asked, "I understand now. Mr. Bai, do you have any instructions?"
Bai Zhuo glanced at Huang Jiangliu, relishing the feeling of being in a position of power. The unconditional trust and obedience from Huang Jiangliu made Bai Zhuo feel that this was only natural.
He said, "I killed one of the shareholders of the Sun and Moon Group, the Young Master of the Tang family, Tang Jie!" Huang Jiangliu suddenly realized that the murder case that had been causing such a stir recently was orchestrated by Bai Zhuo himself. No wonder! He nodded, his heart stirred by tumultuous waves, but his face remained calm.
Bai Zhuo continued, "But don't worry, I'm not someone who kills innocents indiscriminately. There are reasons for his death!" With a wicked smile, a slender green snake slithered up from the floor and coiled around Bai Zhuo's hand. In Huang Jiangliu's terrified gaze, it flicked its tongue at him and hissed.
