"My Tenant is a Female Ghost" is a female ghost.
"Are you awake?"
In a daze, Bai Zhuo heard someone talking to him. "Hey, Bai Zhuo, if you don't wake up soon, I'm leaving."
"…What is this… ugh…" Bai Zhuo retched and suddenly came to his senses. He checked his body and found nothing unusual. Looking at the person speaking, he saw that they were also wearing a gas mask, obscuring their face, but with that figure and voice, Bai Zhuo could recognize him even as a ghost. "Kagura Keiha? What are you doing here?"
"Bai Zhuo, it's great to see you. How did you faint in a place like this?"
Bai Zhuo noticed Wang Tao lying on the ground not far away and knocked on his temples. "I came to find you. Your sister is very worried about you… We were ambushed."
Kagura Keiha's demeanor suddenly changed as he asked in a low voice, "Sister, is she okay?" He wasn't asking about the Kagura family's influence left in Huaxia but about his sister.
Of course, Bai Zhuo wouldn't tell him that he had been with his sister… "Aoi…"
"Aoi?" Kagura Keiha was taken aback.
"Uh… I mean, your sister is doing well. She's currently staying at my place. People outside are looking for both of you siblings, but she's safe for now. But you… you've disappeared for over two months. How did you end up here?"
Kagura Keiha reached out to pull Bai Zhuo up. "Let's talk later. Luckily, I've been hiding in an ancient tomb; otherwise, I would have turned into a corpse by now. How about you? Are you alright?"
"Ugh… I feel fine. Now that I've found you, let's get out of here. By the way, this place is a maze; how did you find me?"
Kagura Keiha smiled mysteriously. "This is fate's arrangement; do you believe it?"
Bai Zhuo gave Kagura Keiha a look of concern mixed with disbelief and walked towards the unconscious Wang Tao. "Hey, what kind of look was that? Hey!"
"Just giving you a look; figure it out yourself…" Bai Zhuo said this without turning back and placed a yellow Soul-Restraining Talisman on Wang Tao.
Soul-Restraining Talismans are indeed effective for subduing demons and monsters, but if used properly, they can also be powerful tools for saving people. Wang Tao had been possessed by some unknown spirit, making it easy for his soul to leave his body; the Soul-Restraining Talismans could stabilize his weakened spirit.
Wang Tao slowly regained consciousness but was still somewhat disoriented. Kagura Keiha raised his hands in surrender to Bai Zhuo. "Alright, alright, it was the Snow Woman who found you. Originally, the Snow Woman didn't dare to come out, but for some reason, the strange force that had been oppressing her suddenly disappeared, allowing her to come out and smell your presence."
"Strange power?"
"Yes, at least that's what the Snow Woman said. Just a moment ago, there was a tremor in the ancient tomb."
Bai Zhuo's expression darkened upon hearing this. He was worried that Kagura Keiha's strange power was related to the Millennium Ghost Spirit that had invaded his body. However, after the Millennium Ghost Spirit entered him, it seemed to have vanished without a trace, which was quite odd.
"What's wrong?" Kagura Keiha asked.
Bai Zhuo shook his head. "It's nothing. Let's leave this place; there's a very powerful Zombie in the tomb, and it's dangerous here."
"You saw it too? That terrifying Zombie! It was blocking our way; otherwise, we would have left long ago... That Zombie is truly frightening."
Bai Zhuo nodded, recalling the Five Element Corpse that had grinned at him from within the Magma. The hairs on his body stood on end. He helped the dazed Wang Tao to his feet. "Let's go; you lead the way."
Kagura Keiha took the lead while Bai Zhuo supported Wang Tao from behind, the sound of the wind howling in their ears. Watching Kagura Keiha's back, Bai Zhuo felt as if he had stumbled upon something after searching high and low, and it came effortlessly. He didn't particularly like Kagura Keiha, but at least he could provide a good explanation to his sister.
The journey was uneventful. With the help of Shikigami and the Snow Woman, Kagura Keiha led Bai Zhuo out of the maze in just five minutes, returning to the entrance of the cave.
At the cave entrance stood several figures: Cai Wenwu and Black Tiger. Cai Wenwu looked extremely disheveled, covered in dirt, and the glass shield of his gas mask was cracked, completely lacking Major's demeanor; Black Tiger looked similarly worn out, and his sniper rifle was nowhere to be found, apparently lost inside the cave.
"What about those two?" Bai Zhuo asked, referring to the two Tomb Raiders.
"One is dead; that Liu guy ran away," Cai Wenwu replied gruffly. "That old fool stole my gun and even shot at me twice... I hope I never see him again!"
Wang Tao suddenly jolted awake and quickly spoke up, "Commander, just now in the cave, I... I rescued a woman with Comrade Bai Zhuo!"
Cai Wenwu's eyes lit up with excitement. "What? A woman? That must be my cousin! Bai Zhuo, where is she? Why haven't I seen her?"
"She has already gone back ahead of us. This is Kagura Keiha from Island Nation!"
Cai Wenwu nodded. "Then let's hurry back; this place is far too dangerous." The group agreed and began their journey back.
Returning to the entrance of the Great Palace, everyone could feel that the air had noticeably freshened, even through their gas masks. As they continued on their way back, passing by the ruins of the camp, Bai Zhuo and the others suddenly noticed that the rescued woman and the warrior were still in the camp!
Cai Wenwu removed his gas mask and quickly ran over. "Sister? Is that really you? That's great! If anything happened to you, Grandpa would have skinned me alive!"
The woman remained relatively calm, giving Cai Wenwu a gentle hug before letting go. The injured warrior beside her saluted Cai Wenwu; it was none other than Wang Bin.
Bai Zhuo finally let out a sigh of relief, removing his gas mask. Fortunately, he hadn’t needed to use the other one strapped to his waist.
"Ah! It's you!" Cai Wenwu's cousin exclaimed.
Bai Zhuo turned towards the voice and was surprised to see a somewhat familiar face. "How could it be you?"
The woman was none other than Cao Yu, the president of Yuxuan Pharmaceutical Group, Bai Zhuo's rival, and Cao Xin's sister!
Cao Yu wore a pristine white robe that did little to conceal her curvaceous figure; her face was dirty but still exuded an alluring coldness. Bai Zhuo never expected that the person he had saved would turn out to be this crazy woman.
"Did you give him the gun?" "She's your cousin?" Bai Zhuo and Cao Xuan asked simultaneously.
Cai Wenwu scratched the back of his head, feeling at a loss. He hadn’t anticipated that his cousin would know Bai Zhuo. This should have been a good thing, but given the atmosphere, their relationship was far from what he had imagined… (To be continued.)
