The Hundred-Meter Sword Qi crashed down, carving a deep gash into the glacier, sending shards of ice flying. Tengye Kikuko, Peng Lianshan, and others were struck by the debris, making it seem as though hail was falling from the sky.
"What a powerful sword aura," Takeda Kyoko and the others exclaimed in shock.
The onlooking tourists were utterly dumbfounded. The scene was more spectacular than anything they had seen in martial arts dramas. They were just ordinary people who knew that Huaxia was home to hidden martial arts masters, but witnessing this level of skill surpassed their wildest imaginations. This was no longer just Huaxia martial arts; it was fantastical martial prowess.
"In this world, such a strong warrior truly exists. It's unbelievable! After all these years, this is the first time I've seen something like this. It seems I am merely a frog at the bottom of a well," remarked a professor among the crowd.
Tengye Kikuko felt a twinge of anxiety as she disregarded the falling ice shards and focused on Jiang Chen. The power of Ishii Ansei's strike was terrifying.
As the ice fell and the mist cleared, a massive chasm lay across the hillside, with Jiang Chen hovering above it, enveloped in a thin halo. He held the Sky Sword in one hand while the other rested behind his back, his expression calm as if the earth-shattering strike had been trivial.
"This... this is impossible?" Ishii Ansei's eyes nearly bulged out. The strike he had expended nearly all his energy on had failed to harm Jiang Chen in the slightest. Unable to bear it, Ishii Ansei staggered backward.
"How can you be so strong? How is this possible?" Ishii Ansei questioned Jiang Chen, his voice filled with disbelief.
"I have experienced your swordsmanship; now it's your turn to experience mine," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile. He swung his sword in mid-air, and a point of light erupted from the tip of the Sky Sword, transforming into brilliant sword energy that surged toward Ishii Ansei like a blue dragon.
Ishii Ansei dared not underestimate him again. He poured all his remaining energy into blocking Jiang Chen's attack.
The two beams of sword energy collided in mid-air with an explosive force, creating a shockwave that sent stones tumbling.
"Boom!" The Godslayer in Ishii Ansei's hand suddenly shattered like glass.
Ishii Ansei's face turned ashen. He and Godslayer had long been in sync; when Godslayer broke, so did his heart.
"With the sword, I live; without it, I die. Am I truly going to perish today at the hands of this mere boy?" Ishii Ansei felt a sharp pain within him as he spat out blood, his eyes filled with rage and unwillingness.
Suddenly, Ishii Ansei saw a cold gleam rushing toward him. In that moment of impending death, his survival instinct surged. He discarded the hilt of Godslayer and drew a short blade for protection before hastily fleeing.
But that cold gleam followed him relentlessly; there was no escaping it.
"Whoosh!"
The gleam sliced through Ishii Ansei's neck. He froze in place, eyes wide open in shock before his head fell from his shoulders, blood gushing from the severed neck.
Blood stained the green ground as a master swordsman met his end there, severed from life.
After killing Ishii Ansei, the cold gleam circled in the air before returning to Jiang Chen's side and vanishing from sight.
The air fell silent; it was eerily quiet.
Everyone was left stunned by this scene.
Ishii Ansei's strength was comparable to that of the Divine Realm, yet he had died at Jiang Chen's hands. No one dared to treat Jiang Chen as an ordinary young man any longer.
