Laya lowered her head, recalling the cold green eyes of the blonde boy. Because of Liendel's improving attitude towards her, she was almost forgetting that these family members, who shared a special connection with her, actually did not like her.
At that moment, the Light Brain chimed, and Sun Yan mentioned that an elderly lady she knew wanted to contact her.
Laya's eyes widened. There was Grandma Ma, who owned a cake shop in Celestial Palace Star, and they had a good relationship. She often cared for Laya and even sent her little cakes.
She immediately searched for the account, where she found a message from Grandma Ma: "Laya, you left in such a hurry that I forgot to remind you to take your favorite cream cake with you. Although you usually buy small cakes the most, that's because your brother Liendel likes them, right? You are such a good child, always thinking of others, but you should also eat more of what you like. Only by loving yourself enough can you have the ability to love others. Pay more attention to your own feelings so that you can maintain your empathy towards others."
Laya suddenly let out a soft sob. Wasn't she thinking enough about herself?
Upon reflection, it seemed so. Ever since she was born, she felt out of place in the world, unable to find her purpose in life. Thus, she desperately sought the approval of others, as if that would anchor her like a rootless floating weed.
But no one was obligated to recognize her; however, she could choose to like and accept herself. In that instant, Laya felt a sudden lightness in her body and couldn't help but smile.
Sun Chi sensed a shift in the atmosphere around the girl sitting before him; her earlier tension and sadness had transformed into something purer.
"Is something wrong?"
"Nothing much; I just suddenly realized that I had been too impulsive before," Laya replied with a gentle smile.
She had rushed here because she thought humans needed her and eagerly sought new recognition. This reckless behavior, neglecting responsibility for herself and others, was indeed thoughtless. Yet, she did not regret her choice; she could not change others' attitudes—she just needed to focus on being herself.
After returning to her room, Laya glanced at the tightly closed door across from her, memories flashing through her mind of Liendel's reluctant gaze during their farewell.
She suddenly felt a bit self-deprecating. Earlier, she had been somewhat troubled by Liendel's drastic change in attitude, but now she found herself missing him a little.
Meanwhile, light-years away on a battleship, Silver-Haired Zerg Liendel slammed his head against the wall with a loud "bang."
"How could this happen?"
His eyes were bloodshot, and he looked like he was about to lose it. Had he really been fooled by Shirian's illusions? How could he forget something so important?
He had actually forgotten to save his contact information in Queen's Light Brain.
However, he quickly calmed down and sent a communication request to Shirian at light speed, only to be rejected the next second.
Liendel was left bewildered. What was that brat up to?
He was acting up again; after all, Shirian really was unwell, and his condition wasn't any better than before.
When he had an episode, he liked to curl up in his room like a mushroom, playing with a broken glass ball that he refused to let go of while rejecting any signals from the outside world.
Liendel knew that there was no way to reach him at that moment. He scrolled through his contacts and found the number that Sun Yan had forced him to save. "Hey, hurry up and send me my sister's contact number!"
Sun Yan was taken aback. "What’s wrong with you? How could anyone not know their own sister's contact number?"
On the other side, Laya was learning how to use various functions of the Light Brain when suddenly a friend request from an unfamiliar account popped up.
In the next moment, a familiar figure appeared on the holographic screen.
After more than three hours, Liendel finally saw his Queen again.
He took a few deep breaths of Queen energy through the network, and all his previous restlessness was soothed.
The silver-haired, golden-eyed Zerg stared intently at the Queen, his face openly displaying joy, looking just like a loyal dog finally reunited with its master.
Laya felt the intense emotions welling up in Liendel's eyes, and a wave of warmth surged in her heart; at least she had one family member now.
