The golden-haired youth seemed a bit shy as he lowered his proud head, subtly bending forward to let his wings droop a little more.
He felt a sense of pride within, grateful that his Zerg form was more beautiful than any of his kin, even enough to make the Queen pause in admiration.
Having committed such an offense against the Queen, he dared not hope for more; he only wished that this beauty would be enough to make him her cherished possession, able to stay by her side at all times.
Thinking about how he could draw the Queen's gaze more often, Shirian's heart filled with anticipation, causing his wings to tremble lightly and uncontrollably.
However, this movement successfully roused Laya from her thoughts. She immediately withdrew her hand, feeling a pang of regret. She knew very well that Shirian disliked her and had been warned not to approach him casually; she couldn't believe she had acted so thoughtlessly just now.
"Shirian, I'm really sorry. I came in because your Mania flared up. What happened just now was an accident. Don't worry, I won't come near you again," she said.
Shirian's eyes suddenly dimmed as he quickly tried to forget her previous words; he wanted to be close to the Queen.
Seeing Laya's hand moving further away from him, even her entire being distancing itself, Shirian frowned slightly, his delicate features clouding with melancholy.
Laya didn't want to see him like this either. Just as she was about to ask what was wrong, she caught sight of the time on her luminous wristband and her face changed dramatically. "Oh no, it's already 1:40."
Her voice carried a tone of despair. "The Training Cup starts at 2 o'clock, but we need to gather ten minutes early! There's no way we can make it now."
She slumped down onto the ground, exuding an aura of hopelessness. She had made plans with her friends, but unfortunately, she would have to cancel this time.
Shirian couldn't bear to see Queen make such an expression, and without thinking of anything else, he said, "Queen, please tell Shirian what happened. I will definitely help you."
Laya was taken aback by Shirian's sudden change in attitude and weakly replied, "I need to get to South Playground in ten minutes, but it's already too late."
Shirian's brows relaxed. "If that's all, he can manage it quickly. Don't worry, Queen; Shirian can get you there in just five minutes."
Laya immediately lifted her head. "Really? But South Playground is too far from here; even the hovercar takes twenty minutes."
Then she seemed to remember something. "We can't reveal our identity as Zerg; is that still possible?"
The blond youth smiled and nodded slightly. "Please rest assured, Queen. I am Phantom Butterfly; disguise is just a basic method."
In the next moment, a massive green beam erupted from his body, gradually coalescing into a gigantic green leaf.
"Queen, hold my hand; it might be a bit fast."
In the blink of an eye, the leaf shot down like a meteor towards South Playground, and Laya finally believed they could arrive in five minutes.
"Thank you, Shirian. Without you, I would definitely be late."
Just as she was about to say more, a sudden gust of wind swept through, affecting everyone's line of sight.
The instructors, who had been relaxed moments before, all stood up. "What's going on?"
When the fierce wind subsided and everyone regained their vision, they saw two figures at the center of the storm, one tall and one short. The shorter one was unmistakably the well-known special recruit, Laya.
A deathly silence fell over the crowd, but Laya seemed oblivious to the unusual atmosphere. She accurately spotted her friend and excitedly ran over, " Xishong, the Training Cup hasn't started yet, right? Great, I made it just in time!"
She intended to say more, but gradually sensed that something was off about the surroundings; it felt as if everyone was staring at her.
The previously excited crowd heard her words clearly. "Oh, so that's her brother."
"Wait, this formidable and mysterious powerhouse is the brother of the usually soft-spoken Laya?"
