That night, in a private estate located in the suburbs of Kyoto, Island Nation.
This was the residence of the Takeda Family, a prominent family in Island Nation, surrounded by mountains and water—luxurious yet tranquil. However, tonight, this estate was anything but peaceful.
Takeda Kyoko, dressed in a kimono, knelt on the ground before an elderly man in his sixties, who looked at her with a dark expression.
This elderly man was Takeda Kyoko's father, Takeda Dairo. His name easily reminded Huaxia people of Wu Song's brother.
He was very displeased with his daughter's failure in this mission. Although Takeda Kyoko had explained herself, he still believed that the primary responsibility for this failure lay with her. It was Takeda Kyoko who had not made adequate preparations, leading to the mission's downfall.

"A young man capable of such feats? If you want to excuse yourself, you should find a more convincing reason," said a young man dressed in samurai attire with a small braid—Takeshi Takeda, Takeda Kyoko's cousin. He had always been at odds with her; her presence had overshadowed his status within the family. He had long sought an opportunity to undermine her, and this chance was too good to pass up.
"But Jiang Chen is truly formidable; Mitsui Master and Master Hara both died at his hands. How can you still not believe me? He came here specifically to take the Kunlun Divine Mirror," Takeda Kyoko insisted.
Upon hearing this, everyone in the Takeda Family burst into laughter.
"Ridiculous! The Kunlun Divine Mirror is our family's treasured heirloom. How could a mere Huaxia boy think he can take it?"
"If he dares to come here, let him come and go without return," members of the Takeda Family scoffed dismissively, clearly underestimating Jiang Chen.
Seeing that her family did not believe in the significance of Jiang Chen, Takeda Kyoko felt quite helpless. At this moment, she could not possibly suggest voluntarily handing over the Kunlun Divine Mirror. Such a proposal would only invite ridicule; no one would listen to her, not even her father, who at this moment also doubted her. Feeling disheartened, Takeda Kyoko lowered her head and fell silent.
