Jiang Chen pondered for a moment. Beyond Earth, aside from the Immortal Realm, there might truly be another world. During his last cultivation session on Kunlun Mountain, he had heard of a place known as the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm.
The Storage Jade Gourd in Jiang Chen's hand was obtained from Kunlun Mountain; it was not something that could be found within the Daoist traditions of Earth. This left only one possibility: it came from elsewhere. The most likely source was indeed the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm.
The Seven Divine Artifacts served as the key to unlocking the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm. This was why Jiang Chen was so eager to retrieve the Kunlun Divine Mirror.
"Hehe, what you mentioned is also a possibility," Jiang Chen replied sincerely.
"Mr. Jiang, whether there is Another World or not is irrelevant to me. It's getting late; let me take you to my home!" Tengye Kikuko said.
"Alright," Jiang Chen responded.
That night, in a private estate located in the suburbs of Kyoto, Island Nation.
This estate belonged to the prestigious Takeda Family of Island Nation, nestled between mountains and water, luxurious yet tranquil. However, tonight, this residence was anything but peaceful.
Takeda Kyoko knelt on the floor, dressed in a kimono, while before her sat an elderly man in his sixties, his expression dark as he gazed at her.
This elderly man was Takeda Kyoko's father, Takeda Dairo. His name easily reminded Huaxia people of Wu Song's brother.
He was deeply dissatisfied with his daughter's failure in this mission. Although Takeda Kyoko had provided explanations, he still believed that the primary responsibility lay with her for not being adequately prepared, which led to their defeat.
Others in the family also joined in criticizing Takeda Kyoko.
With no words to express her grievances, Takeda Kyoko knelt there, her body trembling slightly.
"According to our Takeda Family's rules, for such a significant task, your failure warrants seppuku as an apology," Takeda Dairo said solemnly.
Takeda Kyoko's expression changed as she looked up at her father; she had not expected him to say such a thing.
"Father, this matter was beyond my control. That young man named Jiang Chen possesses incredible abilities; both Mitsui Master and Master Hara fell at his hands. How could we possibly drive him away?" Takeda Kyoko explained once more.
"A young man with such capabilities? If you wish to excuse yourself, you should find a more convincing reason," interjected a young man dressed in samurai attire with a small braid—Takeshi Takeda, Kyoko's cousin. He had always been at odds with her; her presence overshadowed his status within the family. He had long sought an opportunity to undermine her and saw this as a perfect chance to strike.
"But Jiang Chen is indeed formidable; both Mitsui Master and Master Hara died at his hands. Why don’t you believe me? He came here specifically to take the Kunlun Divine Mirror," Takeda Kyoko insisted.
At these words, laughter erupted among the members of the Takeda Family in the hall.
"Ridiculous! The Kunlun Divine Mirror is our family's treasured heirloom. How could a mere Huaxia child think he can take it away?"
"If he dares to come here, let him come and go without return."
The members of the Takeda Family scoffed dismissively, clearly underestimating Jiang Chen.
Seeing that her family did not believe in the significance of Jiang Chen, Takeda Kyoko felt quite helpless. At this moment, she could not possibly suggest voluntarily handing over the Kunlun Divine Mirror. Such a proposal would only invite ridicule; no one would listen to her, not even her father, who at this moment also doubted her. Feeling disheartened, Takeda Kyoko lowered her head and fell silent.
