I contacted the Police Department, and we waited here. 0

So far, five people have died. Although this is not the deadliest case for the Killer compared to our previous ones, it is the most impactful. Thousands of people in the square witnessed the "Falling Corpse from the Sky." We still do not know how the next victim will meet their end at the hands of the Killer. 0

I had a vague feeling that the Killer's methods were not random but rather had a certain technique and arrangement. The first victim, Sun Shouwang, had the Human Skin Map peeled off his shoulder, and his body was partially consumed. The second victim, Small Workshop Owner, had their bones extracted and body drained. The third victim, Wenlan, was poisoned while displayed in a humiliating manner. The fourth victim, Zhang Zheduo, known as "Falling Corpse from the Sky," had his head severed. This time, Wu Litao had his throat slashed by the Killer. 0

The Killer's methods are always different; there has never been a repeat. If it were not intentional on the Killer's part, the chances of such natural variation would be slim. 0

With this in mind, I asked Mary, "Do you think there is any underlying meaning to the Killer's methods? For instance, in many previous cases, some victims were disposed of based on Satanic rituals using an inverted Pentagram, while others were killed according to Christian concepts like the Seven Deadly Sins. Could it be that this time the Killer is also utilizing some systematic theory?" 0

Mary furrowed her brow and pondered for a moment before responding, "If we analyze these methods, I still can't see any clear connections. It seems there isn't anything that corresponds directly to them. Perhaps the Killer is simply pursuing cruelty for its own sake. Or maybe they are indeed following some framework for their killings, but we just haven't figured it out yet." 0

I nodded. Mary is an expert on topics like the Seven Deadly Sins, inverted Pentagram, and various historical legends and myths. If she has no leads, then we likely won't find anything either. However, I still told her, "Mary, keep an eye on this matter. If we can deduce a system behind it, our pressure will be significantly reduced." 0

During our conversation, members of the Police Department arrived. They were responsible for transporting the body back for an autopsy by the City Coroner. Juan Juan stayed behind because this body did not show signs of complex death circumstances or poisoning. Nevertheless, caution was necessary; we could only feel assured after the City Coroner conducted an autopsy. 0

As the Police Department personnel took away the body, we continued searching this house for clues left by the Killer. However, after circling through the rooms, we found nothing. The furniture in the villa was handcrafted with no markings whatsoever, and no other clues were discovered. 0

Our investigation thus far had relied on clues left at crime scenes regarding future victims. For example, in Wenlan's case, there was a bloodied head that belonged to the next victim. But now it seemed that the Killer had left no clues in this room at all. The Killer would certainly not stop here; given their meticulous nature, it was unlikely they simply forgot to leave clues. 0

I shared my doubts with everyone present, prompting deep thought among them. 0

Mary dragged her hand across her face and said, "What if it's possible that the Killer intends to dispose of bodies in crowded places again? Just like how they used a diesel helicopter this afternoon to drop a body. In that case, even without leaving clues behind, we would naturally know when another victim appears. We would then follow this lead relentlessly..." 0

Mary made a valid point; after all, the note left in the BMW had mentioned that the game was just beginning. If the Killer continued to dispose of bodies in crowded areas consecutively, it would create widespread panic in society. Our credibility would likely suffer a severe blow as well. 0

If one were to check online now, they would find that this case has already stirred up quite a commotion with all sorts of rumors circulating. Some say a person was decapitated by a helicopter; others claim it's a perverse murder case or even a terrorist attack—wild speculations abound and our pressure is immense. 0

I said, "We still need to investigate Spring Return Nursing Home to see when Mr. Wu went missing and whether any strangers visited beforehand. We must strive to find useful clues before the Killer commits any more outrageous acts. Let's go seal this place." 0

After about two hours of busy work, we emerged from the villa as evening fell. The sunset peeked behind the mountains; streetlights had yet to illuminate and both sides of the elegant path appeared quiet and dim—a sense of secluded tranquility enveloped us. Yet at the same time, shadowy tree branches added an eerie atmosphere to our surroundings. 0

As one gazes into the depths of the dense forest, it is impossible not to wonder what might be hidden within. The shadows flicker, and if one were alone, goosebumps would surely rise. At this moment, Manager Wang is leading the way ahead, appearing somewhat gloomy and silent, a stark contrast to the person we had seen earlier. 0

It is unclear whether Manager Wang is genuinely saddened by Mr. Wu's passing or if he is concerned that the director's death will lead to changes in the upper management of Spring's Return, potentially affecting his own position. He continues to walk forward, having already notified the chairman, while the directors are on their way to Spring Return Nursing Home. 0

We follow Manager Wang as he strides ahead, but suddenly, a figure comes rushing toward us from a distance. The figure flickers left and right, extremely thin and moving at an alarming speed. Its running posture resembles that of an animal on all fours, yet it does not seem like a dog or cat. 0

This shadow is much larger than either a cat or a dog. Could it be a lion cub that has escaped from someone's home? But that seems utterly impossible. The creature appears to be charging toward us, its speed increasing as if it is running for its life. 0

In the blink of an eye, the figure lunges forward. Manager Wang remains oblivious, focused solely on his path ahead. Dezi reacts quickly and shouts, "Manager Wang, watch out! Get out of the way!" 0

Though Manager Wang hears Dezi's warning and lifts his head just in time, the creature leaps at him before he can sidestep. His reflexes are nowhere near as sharp as Yan Junde's; seeing the creature pounce, he barely manages to step back a few paces before stumbling and falling to the ground. 0

At that moment, we see what has tackled Manager Wang—a creature with long fur, entirely black and resembling Gollum from The Lord of the Rings but much larger and more robust. 0

Mary lets out a shriek and exclaims, "What is that thing?" 0

The creature that has knocked down Manager Wang now faces us, seemingly ready to pounce again. Its long fur obscures its face, making it impossible to see its eyes. Beneath the thick canopy of trees where the sunset can no longer reach, and with streetlights still unlit, we find ourselves confronted by this dark mass—utterly bewildering. 0

In an instant, it lunges again, this time targeting Mary who had screamed. The creature moves swiftly, but someone is even faster—Dezi. Before I can react, Dezi has already positioned himself in front of Mary. 0

He takes a step forward in a low stance; one hand slaps down while the other presses up. In one fluid motion, he grabs hold of the creature's back and abdomen mid-air. Then, with a powerful thrust of his waist and legs combined, he forces it down onto the ground. Immediately, it emits a guttural sound that seems to come directly from its throat. 0

Finally processing what has happened, I rush forward to see what this creature truly is. As I pull back its long fur from its head, I am taken aback. Using my phone's light for clarity reveals that this is not an animal at all; it is a living person—an elderly man. 0

He wears tattered clothing so worn that its original color is indiscernible; now it appears completely blackened against his skin. His hair looks unwashed and unkempt for ages—long and matted together. His face is lined with wrinkles and his eyes clouded over. When illuminated by my phone's light, he immediately shuts his eyes and begins to thrash about. 0

At this moment, others also catch sight of what lies beneath my phone's glow and gasp in shock. 0

Mary incredulously remarks, "Is this really a person? How filthy! And he seems somewhat out of his mind." 0

Looking at the "old man" still writhing on the ground, Dezi controlled him while asking, "What should we do now?" 0

I was taken aback that there were such people in the Spring Return Nursing Home. Before I could speak, I heard several security guards running from a distance, shouting, "Catch him! Don't let go! This person has a mental illness and will bite anyone he sees. Don't let him escape; grab him!" 0

A few security guards rushed over, and the leader was the Security Chief we had seen earlier. He took a few breaths and said, "Captain Shao, it's you. That's great! When we let him out for a walk today, he broke free from several guards and ran away. This person is a bit unstable here." 0

The Security Chief pointed to his head and continued, "Fortunately, he didn't run far and didn't hurt anyone; otherwise, we would be in big trouble. You all take him away and make sure to keep an eye on him. If he escapes again, I'll have you all fired. Do you understand?" 0

The others nodded obediently as they took control of the old man from Dezi. As they walked past me, the old man suddenly exerted strength and grabbed my arm. The security guards were startled and struggled to pull him away. I could still hear the old man mumbling as he was dragged further away. 0

The Security Chief patted my clothes where the old man had grabbed me, straightening them out before saying, "Are you okay?" 0

I nodded and replied, "I'm fine, but shouldn't he be sent to a mental hospital?" 0

"We have doctors at Spring Return Nursing Home who can treat mental illnesses; they're very professional," the Security Chief said. "It's just that he has a strong tendency for violence. Anyway, I need to go now." 0

A senior high school student was kidnapped along with a leggy school beauty and a busty third-tier celebrity, trapped in an abandoned cabin after mistakenly eating unknown wild fruit, feeling feverish in the middle of the night. 0
