Chapter 58: The Unusual Zhou Tong

Just as they were about to step into the edge of Fengdu, Chen Tao suddenly said, "Young Master Yun, please remember that no one inside Fengdu can be trusted. If you see me again in three days, do not believe any urgent words I might say!"
"If I lose my senses and attempt to harm Young Master Yun, please spare my family!"
"What does Chen Zai mean by this? You have only followed the Cloud Emperor for three days, while I will be with him for much longer. Are you trying to sow discord?" Zhou Tong retorted sharply.
"Mr. Zhou, please calm down. I mean no offense. However, you should know that there are many Spirits within Fengdu; their seductive whispers can lead even righteous individuals astray. I cannot guarantee that I will not be influenced by them; hence my words! If I have offended you in any way, please forgive me!"
"Hmph." Zhou Tong snorted coldly before speaking respectfully again. "Cloud Emperor, Chen Zai's words are not entirely wrong; we should indeed be wary of outsiders. I also have several brothers and sisters within Fengdu. If we can meet up with them, we should be able to act more safely. What do you think?"
"What's going on?" Lian Yun asked, a bit puzzled.
"Isn't the Cloud Emperor planning to enter Fengdu to seek the Blood Spirit Fruit?" Zhou Tong was even more confused.
However, Lian Yun felt a bit surprised.
To be honest, if Zhou Tong had ulterior motives, Lian Yun thought his schemes and performances were rather clumsy.

This was Lian Yun's way of retreating to advance, using his own tactics against Zhou Tong. By intentionally revealing that he had achieved Martial Intent, he aimed to attract Zhou Tong's attention and lessen his guard regarding Lian Yun's spiritual power level.
